What was that Ben? Religion is about power... to change people's thoughts and to change their posts Wait til you read the Da Vinchi code you'll be full of theories whilst you read that! I know what you mean, lots of Religion has been used as that but now in the UK (I know not worldwide) it's simply down to personal choice which has to be a good thing.

If you think the Da Vinci Code turns religion on its head, read Angels and Demons (get the point yet Roz? - you HAVE to read this ) if you want to have massive rethinking about religion! I read about that sandwich in the news - I went to ebay to see if any idiot would be fool enough to bid on it - hope that is a hoaxer as high bidder!

Lord no Ben! My first ever meeting with the Knights Templar was in the videogame "Broken Sword" there's nothing you couldn't or wouldn't enjoy about this book. The only thing I wonder is if you have seen some of the paintings they refer to (sounds boring but it REALLY ISN'T TRUST ME) and that would help - but they are so famous you can either get them off the net or you can buy the £12 beautiful illustrated edition which makes it easy! *have I made enough comments for Mark to notice I want this for Christmas yet do you think? He's not mentioned it, or posted in one of the threads yet so I'll keep going* But apparently we should read Angels and Demons first (tut) but guys I've got to wait for my Mum to finish reading her copy before I can read it!

But apparently we should read Angels and Demons first (tut) but guys I've got to wait for my Mum to finish reading her copy before I can read it! Apparently? It's a must! Nah - you don't HAVE to, but it makes the references in DVC to A&D more understandable. Thanks to Ed who pointed this out to me before I read them I agree Ben, its a great book - I couldn't put it down if that means anything to you but no way is it restricted to 'intellectuals' or any rubbish like that!

Roz you character you!! Mark has gotten your message loud and clear - do you know how I know? Well I'll tell you. Mark sent me an email the other day and it even had a link to the specific message you are referring to about the hint to get the illustrated version as a Christmas present so he knows!! It is sad that some people will try to take advantage financially of others because of their religious beliefs and post something like this on ebay. Where does ebay draw the line on what can be offered for sale? Ben, Mark, and Roz: Do not walk, do not wait for your Mum to finish it, run I say to get your copy of Angels & Demons!!

Well... I confess there is a boxed set of all 4 paperbacks by Dan Brown in Waterstones bookshop in the centre of town for £20 which seems very tempting! Although I have already borrowed the Da Vinchi code from my Mum both Mark and my Dad want to read it so they will be fighting over it soon, and we are all about 200 miles apart so I think I'll buy the boxed set... and then Mark can borrow them too (Ed subtlety is not a strong point of mine )

Good Morning FTY!! Well if they have not got the message then I think we need to send them either some new eyeglasses or a hearing aid!! But wait - breaking news flash - a new post by Roz as I was constructing this reply confirms that yes - we are cracking the shell of resistance and I see a purchase of Dan Brown reading material aka "Angels & Demons" in the very near future!!

Thanks for the morning greeting - and a very early morning it is too! It's 1:20 am here! I will keep harassing them all until they read it! THEN they will thank us for being so annoyingly persistent!

Sad part is what happens to the person who wins and doesnt pay? It in all will cost them the ebay account, I wonder if it would be taken further? I am about to go home and start cooking up HP grill cheese if anyone wants one, starting bid is 5 mil
