According to the Leaky Cauldron, a movie site called Dark Horizons is reporting that Elizabeth Hurley has been offered the part of an evil witch for OOTP.  The part is probably Bellatrix.  Who knows if she'll take it, but I think it could be a good match!

Gary Oldman and Liz Hurley as cousins?HuhHuhHuh?

This I gotta see Grin

But I had an impression of Bellatrix as more sinister looking - they are going to have to do some serious makeup work on her if its really the case!

The character is supposed to be sinister-looking, but she's also described as being very good looking pre-Azkaban (as is Sirius).  The makeup artists did a good job with Oldman, so I'm sure they can do the right thing with Hurley.

I know!  GOF won't finish filming until spring and OOTP is supposed to begin filming in January 2006.  At this rate, the kids will be in their 20s by the time filming begins on the 7th book!

I wonder if JKR has started writing BK 7 yet?
I know, I know ... she's just had another baby, but I reckon she's probably done a bit of the preparation work for it already. Hope so .... Wink

Warner Bros. is now saying that there's no truth to the rumor that Hurley was offered a part in OOTP.

I could see her playing the part.  But who knows?  I mean, I read that John Malchovich was going to play Voldermort in GoF, and that turned out to be false as well.

Don't know if this is of any interest:~

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0330373/fullcredits

True, it doesn't give the casting for Bellatrix but it covers a whole heap of others!  Wink

To be fair... me too.

It's not that I doubt his acting skills.... just my own ability to keep a straight face when looking at him

Do you really think it would be so bad if the trio ends up being 19-21 during the shooting of the final three movies?  I think this would be far better than exchanging their roles with other actors.  Personally, I love the three films and really enjoyed watching the trio age, mature, and develop with each succesive film.  I think it would be amazing, once all 7 are done (this is hoping that they all will be filmed) to watch the movies in order and really see the growth of nearly all the child actors.
Here in America, studios ALWAYS cast older actors to play the part of teenagers.  Particularly in movies or tv shows about high school students, it has been common for actors from ages 21-27 to play the role of an 18 year old student.  A few of note that you others may recognize- Varsity Blues, Saved by the Bell, 90210.....just to name a few off the top of my head.
So I don't think that it would take away from any of the roles if our three actors aged a bit.  Really, I suppose it is all speculation at this point though.
I just can't imagine seriously enjoying a Harry Potter film with out Dan, Emma and Rupert as their repective characters.
Cheers and such

I'd prefer it if they kept the original trio for all of the movies too, because these three interact with each other so well.  You can see that in their performances.

I don't think their ages will really matter much by the 7th movie.  They're true ages aren't too different from their actual ages.

I had thought that they had the main 3 actors signed for all seven movies because i would not go and see it if they change people

Unfortunately, Warner Bros. doesn't have contracts like that with the kids.  I read an interview with Rupert Grint that he wasn't sure whether he'd come back for OOTP.  Of course, that could be a ploy to get more money...
