LOL!

Actually, SpongeBob is part of a new music video (by the We Are Family Foundation), along with other children's characters, to promote diversity and tolerance.  The video will be distributed to US elementary schools in March.  This is what started the controversy.

Here's a link to the story:
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2005/01/20/1106110881621.html?from=top5&oneclick=true

In another article, I read that:  An attorney for the We Are Family Foundation labeled its critics "insane."

Ya think? Grin

Yes, it's brought to you by the same people who thought Tinky Winky from the Tellytubbies was gay.

But in the case of Tinky Winky, I'm sure he WAS gay. Come on, the guy carried around a handbag!

And you don't use a backpack or satchel to carry around your stuff? Grin

2005 Christmas list

Mark: red handbag

LOL Grin

But seriously - Spongebob and Patrick? I see plenty of little boys in the 3-6 age range that hold hands - and I am sure they are not all gay! The people who come out with this stuff have way too much time on their hands!

I can't wait for the next Harry Potter backlash when Half Blood Prince comes out! Roll Eyes

I love sponge bob but I think I will wait for the DVD. Although I have wanted to go to burger King to get the goodies lol. Its funny one time I got a kids meal and the sponge bob thing was supposed to have finished, and they thought they were conning me by giving me an old toy I couldn't have been happier  Grin

You think the half blood prince is gay  Huh

Yes but Harry isn't Pagan. They celebrate Christmas, Easter and he has/had a god parent  Roll Eyes

The magic is the thing that has got Harry's head on the Catholic Church's symbolic chopping block... no amount of religious references is going to get around that Lips Sealed
