I purchased this card from eBay from a seller that I bought 2 of the same autograph cards from, one was a buy-it-now Card and the other was an auction that I won. I'm not sure which card this is but have a look and give me your opinion. The picture in the listing for both cards were the same so I am assuming the seller just took one picture and had multiple cards to sell. What concerns me about this card is that the Signature would have taken 3 separate pen strokes and all the signature cards I have seen required only a single pen stroke.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Here is a card for sale now on eBay.

Here is the other card I purchased from this seller. I,m not sure now that it is not also fake.

here are other cards for sale on ebay. Seem her signature is all over the place.

This one is tough.  She had a very different signature for GOFU.  For this set, she obviously didn't care to spend the time to properly sign her cards.  The differences could be due to her rushing through the cards.  When you compare the cards without the toploaders, do they have the same thickness and coating (as far as you can tell)?

They do have the same thickness and the coating seems the same. Maybe the top card was either an early attempt at a signature or perhaps as you said just a rushed signature. what I still have trouble with is the top card would have require 3 different pen strokes as compared to 1 fluid stroke on the other cards.

Interesting. I hate when a seller uses the same picture for their auctions. Had I seen the auto with the 3 pen strokes, it is not something I would have bid on. Doesn't mean it is not real though..... This auto doesn't sell for as much as the big signers, but that doesn't mean someone wouldn't fake it if they could. If you are really unsure....tell the seller it is not the same card pictured and you are not happy with the auto on the card and would not have bought it if you had known. Does the auction state the photo is just an example? Maybe you could send it back for your money back.

Well, at least it's not just an "X".
Artbox ought to set some standards for autographs.
In this age of "something-for-nothing" the less one has to do the less one seems to do.
Pride has yielded to profit.
Disgusting.
Yeah, I'm cynical.

How do you know any of these are legit, for all we know she might have a publicist or some other person scribble on these cards? Is there a code of ethics or verification standards? If this is not a fake then I probable have a rare signature card since it is so different from the other cards.

Did I sell you those?  I know I have sold a few of these already and have at least one more to put up this week as soon as I am done opening and listing my 5 cases.  Ebay id is vintage-dan.  LMK, always willing to offer a refund.

I think we have to assume that the card was pack-pulled and authentic from a standpoint of "did it come from artbox" since I think it would be pretty near impossible to create an identical quality card to be signed.  As for whether it was Poesy or a publicist, it always makes me nervous when you see someones autograph change so dramatically from one issue to another.

No, I did not purchase these cards from you, but thanks for asking and offering a refund. I hope the eBay seller is not at fault and this is just a different attempt at signing the card. The card itself does seem legit.

I think we have to take it on faith that the autographs acquired by Artbox and other card companies are legitimate.  The actor signs a contract and if he or she breaches that contract, Artbox would have legal remedies.

I honestly don't know if this particular card is a fake.  As you can see in other threads, people have produced and sold fake cards.  There has been more than one instance of Beckett grading being fooled by fakes (both sport and non-sport).

I got some PMs about this card. . . sorry I don't drop in more often :-(

The signature doesn't appear to be mechanically produced. . . so, if everything else about the card -- thickness, UV coating, etc match it's most likely a legitimate card. . .

Recently celebs have been twittering pics of them signing cards, or the cards they are signing, and it looks like these things get signed while the celebs are in bed sometimes, or hotels. . . variations in signatures are bound to happen.

This, to me, looks more like a printed signature vs a cursive one. . . or maybe the phone rang. . .

Looks to me like she had a problem with the pen. The C ends rather abruptly.

IMO I think the card looks fine! ;)I guess when you sign 200 to 500 cards in a row (not sure of the official amount),there are going to be one or two odd ones in there! I guess if the card is genuine then so is the auto itself! It`s hard to tell from the scan of the card. Was this card redeemed or in the boxes already signed?I didn`t get any cases from this set Shocked
