I noticed a lot of pictures of the new DP that have a straigt line on them, as if the are from the edge of the paper maybe, but in the picture, i can't seem to see where there is a straight line on this paper at all. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have a scan or Link?
I have not found a DP with straight lines.

Probably just more to the prop than we can see in the picture. How many different pages do you suppose they used?

I was wondering if it was a differnet page, or a part of the paper cut off in that picture. Anyone else have any ideas?

The Daily Prophet cards from the first set had swatches from both the front and back pages of the paper (some cards had pieces of the crossword puzzle, for example). The Leaky Cauldron site has tons of pics from the movie. Maybe you could find a better picture of the paper there? If not, the DVD is coming out next week and you'll be able to see it on your TV!

Did anyone else get a Daily Prophet card where the design/words on the side of swatch facing the inside of the card was way more interesting than the side facing outward?
The front of mine has one small swoop coming in from the side, but I could tell there was writing on the back. I took a flashlight and shone it through the back of the card to see if I could make out what was on the other side. It looks as if it says "Bree" in large script letters that take up the entire circle. I might be mistaken and it actually says something else. The first letter might not be a capital 'B', but the last 3 are definately 'ree'. Do you suppose this is just a portion of a larger word? Or could it actually be from a portion of a story written for the prop Daily Prophet as an in-joke reference to LOTR? I've heard many stories where the prop creators and set designers will add little in-jokes in their work. It's probably unlikely and impossible to verify, but cool to think about.
I tried to take some pictures, but my digital camera stinks. I will see if I can get some better pics and post them here.
Anyone else have a Daily Prophet swatch that should have been flipped around?

There seems to be a trend here. My swatch is from the front page, but mostly blank. I can see more print on the other side. While the swatch would be more interesting if I could see page 2 instead of page 1, maybe the thinking at Artbox is that people would rather have swatches from the front and back pages than anything inside.
I also have a Daily Prophet from the first set. The swatch has one full letter and two partial letters from the Daily Prophet masthead. Sounds great, right? Except that the swatch is upside down!
I wrote to Artbox. They confirmed it was upside down, but said that since the paper is meant to be read right side up, upside down, and sideways, they did not consider this to be a production error! The masthead is printed right side up and that's how a person would read it, but they didn't agree with me.

I tried to do my homework to see if my question was answered elsewhere and couldn't find anything, yet ... so I thought I would just ask anyways.
Well, I got my HPU: Daily Prophet Prop Friday of last week. While I liked the swatch that I got, I liked it even more when I took a closer look. I noticed that the swatch not only had the black on the front of the swatch, but there seemed to be what looked like black on the other side of what would have been the Daily Prophet.
This is prolly common place, but I was still wasn't sure if all Daily Prophet swatches had this. Either way, I'm happy to just have the card!

DOH! Thanks Anna ... I read that ages ago and completely forgot about it! I'm feeling very stupid now! EDIT: I locked the topic since the link to the other thread was provided by Anna!

Well its proves they didn't knock them out round the corner, as they wouldn't have bothered putting stuff on the back
