1  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: Pottermore on: September 20, 2011, 06:09:24 AM
I was only able to catch one early access clue, got all the way to the quill and then sign ups closed. Roll Eyes

Excited for it to open to the public next month.
2  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 3-Disc Combo Pack $14.99 on: May 07, 2011, 06:08:08 AM
I bought the Single Disk at Best Buy for $9.99. I'm not worried about getting the Special Editions/2 Disc/3 Disc sets anymore since I plan to buy all the Ultimate Editions when they have all been released.

Closest beach to me would be Galveston Beach, but I didn't take pictures when I went. And even though, unfortunately, Galveston Island was complete destroyed thanks to Hurricane Ike the island and it's beaches was still beautiful. My sister is coming next month and we are going so I'll post pictures if I take any then. Smiley

(And for any Shackers with Facebooks and who would like to be my friend please message me with a link to your profile, I'd love to be friends with you! Grin)

I really love the look of the autographs too, Cindy.

Does each character/group of characters have a different swatch punch design, I wonder?

5  Harry Potter / Diagon Alley / Re: Universal Chocolate Frog cards & Sorcerer's Stone prop on: December 12, 2010, 11:12:33 AM
Though this is incredibly early compared to when we are going and incredibly late to when you started this thread, I thought I'd respond anyway.

My family and I are taking a trip to Universal for HP sometime this spring, if you still need any of the cards from the Chocolate Frogs I'd be glad to help. I plan to stock up on candy from Honeydukes as that's one of the big draws of the park for me.
6  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: NEW Noble Collection catalog - Nov. 2010 on: December 12, 2010, 10:51:40 AM
I asked for all the Artefact boxes for Christmas so if I get one and no one has scanned anything from one by then I'll do it for everyone. Smiley

I like this update very much. The time span between this update and the last was very long so I'm happy this update added to the collection immensely.

I love Sushi Cat!

That website has hundreds of games and if you're a member you get points and badges for completing certain objectives when playing.

9  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: The Lightning Thief, Books and Movie on: February 13, 2010, 12:08:29 PM
I plan on picking these books up as soon as my Nook arrives but I have no plans to see the movie just yet as I've heard from really big fans of the series that the movie is going to be disappointing.
10  Harry Potter / Diagon Alley / Re: Collecting Question. on: January 31, 2010, 05:49:30 AM
Welcome!

Yes, I suggest sleeves with toploaders too. When storing cards in screwdown cases there is a chance that they will stick to the inside of the case. I had a film card stick to the top and bottom of a screwdowns case once and both sides of the card almost complete ripped off. I haven't used screwdowns since Tongue Toploaders also reduce weight as well.
11  Harry Potter / Half Blood Prince Update Set / Re: HBPU Death Eater wanted poster scene on: January 10, 2010, 11:11:32 AM
I recently watched the movie again on my laptop while sitting at work (lol) and it does indeed show the posters before Harry and the gang climb up on the roof.

Woo - 2010 - looks nice eh? Anyone want to take bets on how many times I'll write xx/xx/09 in January??

I did that, and so did everyone else, at work today ROFL!

Happy New Year Everyone! I'm super excited for 2010, I personally think 2009 was a terrible year.

15  Harry Potter / Half Blood Prince Update Set / Re: Half Blood Prince Update News!! on: December 06, 2009, 07:44:05 AM
I'm really excited for this set but that could be from the fact this is the first set I can actually afford on my own.

I kinda hope there isn't a lot of fuss over this set, there are a few cards that, according to LikORish's list, are a little rare and I hope I can get them for less then what I'm sure some people would sell them as.
16  www.TheYakShack.co.uk / General Discussion / Re: Swine flu and strep and viruses -- oh my! on: November 04, 2009, 08:57:11 AM
Working in a hospital, I had to get it. They set some to the side for me since I am in the high risk age group. I didn't think it was necessary and I work in Category 3 conditions which means I am at no risk of contracting anything that a patient might have. It also made me feel nauseous for about 3 days Tongue

I personally think this is being blown out of proportion ,if you read around its not really as bad as the news makes it out to be. It is something that should be taken lightly but I don't think people should freak out.

Me and my sister are planning a week-long Orlando vacation next year and Universal is on the list so I will be going Cheesy I'm super excited. I can't wait to go to Honeydukes and Dervish and Banges. I'm going to be blowing quite a few months salary on this trip Grin
19  www.TheYakShack.co.uk / Film, Music & TV / Re: True Blood on: September 13, 2009, 09:47:52 PM
The official True Blood Twitter just posted a desktop background of Maryann and her memorable like "Nobody. Needed. Towels!" and it got me thinking. Is there a bigger reason to why Maryann wanted Tara and Eggs to get together? I don't remember seeing anything about something like that, did anyone else?
20  www.TheYakShack.co.uk / Film, Music & TV / Re: True Blood on: September 05, 2009, 10:03:01 AM
Plus, I think people feel like she has really drained that spunky character out of Tara-- a lot of people miss her.

I like what has going on with Tara. She made me laugh and I love her in the first season but I like how they are making her see that there is a lot of stuff out there that isn't so nice or susceptive to her sometime mean comments. I think some of the stuff she said was really rude and I like how they have toned it down a bit.

I'd love to know what Sookie did to Maryann in that scene when she touched her face...what was that? Looks like there is more to Sookie than meets the eye...

I don't know but I'm incredibly giddy to find out ROFL! When I saw that I was like "Wait! Do it again!" LOL
