1  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: Harry Potter Expert needed ... on: December 17, 2006, 09:50:25 PM
I love these and want to have a complete set. I have a few duplicates to trade.

I did a show with the "Weasley Twins", we got so busy talking soccer that I forgot to ask them to sign one.

I will be taking commissions for sketch cards again. I have a few weeks  before I begin my next contract work.

I would love to hear ideas of what you want on sketch card requests.

4  Trading cards / Trading card sets / Re: WOZ Sketches on: July 30, 2006, 07:56:42 PM
Thanks a bunch guys ! I'm glad that these are getting to people who like them. I tried to make each card as if I was the one pulling them from a pack. I certainly understand artist doing several of the same sketch (its more money). I have a hard time repeating my work.

I only did 4 different Toto cards including one with Dorthy. And the witch holding the hour glass has to be one of my favorites (for whatever reason). If I had more time I would have done a card of just the hour glass ... its such a cool looking object of art. (I like objects / props - I did one medal of courage and one of the tin man's heart watch) BTW - the hourglass was reused in different movies later on. Hollywood often reused props .. I wonder where it is today ?

Well, that's my 10 minutes of free time ... so its back to drawing LORD of The RINGS cards ...

cheers,

THE HUN

Hello,

I'm sorry for not replying to the e-mails asking about the Wizard of Oz sketch cards.

For the record - yes. I only did one of each scene except for one cards (however, one was in pencil and the other in ink - and they were the same scene except that one had 3 characters in the globe, the other had all four. - so I guess you could say they were different) I only did 65 cards.

I have been busy working as the artist for an independent film (concept and scene artist). Now I begin the Lord of the Rings sketch cards for Topps.

I hope that answers everyones question. Thanks to all of you for your comments and support in buying the cards.

cheers,

I will look again, but I really don't know much about how many promos are in each release. I think I only have 2 for Family Guy.

Do you have a specific one ?

A bargain is a bargain. Oz has kept its interest since the 1930's when the film was made ... I don't see it fading any time soon. So if you can get anywhere from 2-4 cards for $10 you should do it.

I think Lord of the Rings will hold true as well. I am not so certain all the others will. Like original comic art, I think you will see the values of good art on sketch cards keep rising in value.

I wish i was a collector  Praying

I did 5 different Glenda cards ... 3 color and 2 pencil. However, I did not see any of these on your photobucket site.

Thanks Savage !

At the end of this week I will be finishing up a project (inking someone's comic). I will be available to do a few  commissioned sketch cards again.

Feel free to contact me

chuckzsolnai@wmconnect.com

PS - I've found about 4 or 5 of the cards on ebay. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of any other ones (like pulling one from a pack) please let me know.

cheers

Hi

As I have been directed to this post by more than one fan, i thought I would reply to some of the questions regarding the Wizard of Oz sketch cards.

To answer your question, I only produced 65 sketch cards for the Wizard of Oz set. I felt that each one of the cards should be one-of-a-kind art work.

So in effect all the cards are 1/1 with a different scene on each. I hope you and the other fans enjoy. You can read more about these (and see the cards) and other projects at my web site.http://flahockey.com/ART%20of%20THE%20HUN.htm

cheers,

Chuck
