Soooooo I'm a bit slow & have decided that ebay will eat too many costs - at least right now. Sorry to be so wishy-washy.

For sale:
SDCC Tie Set - $125 + shipping (international cost to be determined - $5 for Priority Mail in the US)

3  Harry Potter / Goblet of Fire Update Trading Cards Artbox / Re: Variant GOFU quad card on: February 28, 2009, 04:29:37 AM
WOW! I wouldn't buy it without the sigs though (not that I could afford that card in the first place)...
4  Harry Potter / Diagon Alley / Re: SDCC Tie Set on: February 23, 2009, 08:10:12 PM
Last call - it'll be going up on ebay by Saturday...

If you are interested, please send me a PM.

I'd file a non-payment claim. That ought to light a fire under him/her. They have 10 days to settle the claim (or that was the deadline of the last claim I had to file). It's 13 Feb & the cards were sold on 26 Jan - that's been 15 business days.

Was I the only one that never for a second believed that the survivor revealed last week was actually dead? I remember watching the finale last year and saying...nope, no way. he's fine.
I wasn't going to believe it until there was a body....

According to the Lost crew (forget where I read it in the last couple of weeks - E! Online/Kristin, TV Guide News, Entertainment Weekly/Michael Ausiello or Doc Jensen), they use ZERO eyeliner on Richard (Nestor Carbonell).

I was SO excited to see another survivor in "the Lost Prince". If there hadn't been a sleeping kitty in my lap I would have jumped up to do a happy dance. As it was I clapped & laughed enough to wake said kitty up (she gave me SUCH a dirty look)...
8  Harry Potter / Diagon Alley / SDCC Tie Set on: February 06, 2009, 02:10:07 AM
I'm going to try and pare down my collections again and one thing that's likely to go is the SDCC houses tie set. It's still in the snap-tite cases in the original box. If anyone is interested, please send me an email or PM.

I won't go the ebay route for it unless I have to...

Thanks!

ABC has all the episodes online.... perhaps if he watched all the catchup episodes (at least one per season) it would help a little...

Dunno, but what's crazy with the starred feedback is that anything below "5" is considered bad...  When did "4" become bad? When isn't "3" neutral?

I've had people get annoyed with me when they don't have their items within a week of being shipped.  It doesn't matter if I get to the post office as soon as they open (the day after I get paid), once it's in the hands of the various postal services it's up to them to deliver in a timely manner.... *sigh*

Wanted so badly to go to Shindig & Fleet party, but stupid damned Marriott hotel security never showed up to my room to investigate my noise complaint until 3 1/2 hours after I reported it AND I couldn't go anywhere until they showed.  Phoned hotel @ 9:30P, 10, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30A & security knocked on my door @ 1A.  By the time I gave up on them coming back to let me know what they'd found or calling me with an update it was 2A.
15  General Stuff / Ebay and Paypal quibbles/problems / Re: eBay: Big changes in pricing, PayPal and shipping cost limits on: August 21, 2008, 02:22:07 AM
Damn, that's just wrong!

And looking at the max costs - $4 for magazine back issues.  You cannot ship them media mail.  P/M is more than that & depending on weight, so is 1st class mail.  That blows!
16  Harry Potter / Diagon Alley / Re: my list 200 Harry Potter Costume Cards for Trade Only..part 1 on: August 06, 2008, 09:58:01 PM
I see your list, but I don't see which cards you're looking to trade for.  Most lists I've seen in the past show HAVE for what they have to trade and WANT for what they want in return.

For anyone starting now who doesn't have access to a fortune, it's probably a good idea to either focus on a few sets (knowing that the older the set, the more difficult and expensive it will be to pick up the cards), or select some cards from each set that appeal most to you.  Some people may prefer autos or props, for instance.  With new releases, another way is to not buy any boxes, set a budget, then buy as many cards as possible within that budget.
I agree! Once I saw that there were going to be a ton of sets, I scaled back a LOT.  I've got a couple of props I like, some costume cards I like, an auto from each character I like (except for the big 3 because unless I pull it, I can't afford to buy one) and assorted other cards.  My favorites are the motion case cards.
19  Harry Potter / Diagon Alley / Re: Wanted: Quidditch World Cup Burnt Tent Over-size (8x10) card on: July 21, 2008, 07:19:23 PM
I may have one with the binder - will have to doublecheck at home though and see what I initially paid for it...
