Finally got my owl today.  Very cool...

Sorted into Ravenclaw but wanted Gryffindor. Ravenclaw was my second choice, though. I already have the scarf for it and I love the colors.

Though looking at the list of Ravenclaw alumni, I find it kind of funny that I'm Asian, was born in 1979 and was sorted into Ravenclaw, which are things that are mentioned in Cho Chang's bio. Not a happy thought, as I never liked her but funny anyway. I guess it is a good thing I'm not from the UK then or it really would have gotten weird.

For anyone who sent in "You are a Winner" redemption cards for this set, it looks like they are coming back now. I just got my printing plate set. To my surprise, it was of card 001. That's kind of cool...

I got the early access quill and I'm still waiting to be let into Pottermore. Come on, owls! October is getting closer and closer every day.

Well, while I was in line for goody bags at SDCC, there was mention by Artbox people at the booth that they were aiming for November. Maybe they pushed it back a little? Has there been an official date for the DVD release yet?

Info Sheet (complete with an incorrect spelling of Heroes)

Did anybody else get a mailer from Artbox today about this set? When I came home, there was a manila envelope with a sell sheet, info sheet, and three promo cards (Harry, Dumbledore and Hagrid) waiting for me.  I can scan the cards if people want to see them.  From the paragraph that was written about them, it made it sound like Toby Jones was the only autograph, so I'm confused.  I'll probably get a couple of boxes, no more. The idea sounds cool, though.

How far are you willing to drive?  There is a place about 25 miles east of LA that is like a small show (comics, trading cards, sports cards) that takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  There is one dealer there that sells non-sports boxes (like Harry Potter). I'm not sure about the prices as I haven't been there in a few weeks but if you would like more info, I would be happy to send it to ya.

The filmcard cells in each set come from one particular trailer, with the exception of the Chamber of Secrets set (IMHO).  For that set, all of the cells seem to come from specific scenes from the movie reel.  (It's been a long time since the set came out, but I recall trying to figure out which trailer was used.  I came to the conclusion that some of the cells in the cards weren't in any of the trailers, and therefore Artbox must have used cells from the movie reel.)

I think it was Sorcerer's Stone that didn't have the trailer.  It was all from the Diagon Alley section of the movie, so you got lots of Harry, Hagrid, and Ollivander in the cells.

Weren't there twin girls from Slytherin in the movie?  That's who I thought it was when I saw their names.

Based on this list, there doesn't look like there is a lot that I am really interested.  The only thing I really want is the Julie Walters autograph.  I'm hoping for a Daily Prophet in those unnamed props.

Since I won this box in the Artbox bonus spin at Comic Con, I am very happy.  Although, I am starting to think Rupert is following me around.  This is the second Rupert I have pulled (and I got another OOTP one in the goody bags last year) and I have yet to pull either of the other two.

If I remember correctly, it is a prop card with one of the "Potter Stinks" badges.  A friend of someone behind me in line got one.  I saw one of the table that had part of Potter in it.  One nice loose card I got was a Sheets/Sleeping Bag from MM2 but my sleeping bag has stars on it.  I haven't seen one like that.
