Something I've just noticed... the print run for this set was 2000 boxes less than the last few Stargate sets... wonder if it's because of;

• Perceived reduced interest in the Stargate sets as a whole?
• Perceived reduced interest in Atlantis as opposed to SG1?
• Limited number of 6-case incentives available to use?
• Reduced number of cards to put in packs across the board because of the increased number of Archive boxes?
• Other Ideas?

Any thoughts?

Tho, as for the last Stargate set, UK means delays 

I'm actually holidaying in the States 24th Sep - 10 Oct so i may get SO desperate that i pick up a box over there... on top of the two cases got coming my way!

and the UK,,, how about Australia.. darn customs holds everything up... everything, had a parcel sent in from the states the other day.. a $300 card and the customs officer gave me grief cos he thought it was worth more than the $50 on the registration.. well he was right, but it took 3 days to convince him with fake invoices, faxes and emails from the US supplier... well, i guess customs knows everything, except how to locate the correct price.. LOL

Probably not a good idea admitting you lied to customs on a public forum 

I agree about the rarity being an issue - i hope i get at least two of the Very Limited cards - and i'll have to buy the third, and the 2nd-tier multi-case card from somewhere too!

Is anybody else as excited as I am about the season 8 cards coming out on March 1st for this series

I'm excited also. So far i've got a 100% complete set of the Premeire Edition, S4, S5, S6, S7 and Atlantis S1! you may guess that i'm slightly crazy when it comes to Stargate! LoL

I wish it were 16 days though - living in the UK means it gets delayed by a little while longer! Dag-Nam Customs!

We did - and we picked the ones that we liked best Is that bad?

Not at all  - it means it was a fan-chosen quote, not a "these are the quotes you are authorised to use" option...

if i knew the html code for that scroll-y thing-y then I'd do it, but i don't, so i can't...

Anyway:

I can't wait to see the Quotable cards and Crew cards...

Yeah, both the autos and costumes look cool, but i would also like a sneak peek at the Quotable cards, which the website doesn't show. I wonder if the Atlantis Crew are done in the same vein as the CC- cards from SG1 Season 7... (i hope not, i wasn't over-keen on those)

Rodney McKay had some of the best quotes in season 1 so I hope they use some of them

I wonder who chose the quotes, and what criteria they used... both Stargate shows have some of the best one-liners and back-and-forth-banter on TV!

Between this set and Serenity my pockets are looking awful empty 

Well I'm not getting Serenity (never seen Firefly) but after my cases of Atlantis, my funds will be pretty dry too!

Only five more days until "Stargate: Atlantis" cards come out, and I can't wait to see what I get in my two boxes I ordered.

Just a couple of quick questions (and sorry if they've been asked and answered before...);

1: What companies produce archive boxes (or similar). I know RA does, but what about others?

2: (RA Specific, but would like to know about any others), In an Archive box, do you get, or has anyone ever got, doubles?

Using Quotable ST:TNG as an example;

Normally 5 cards per pack / 40 packs per box - 200 cards;

Set consists of;

Would that mean there were 8 cards "missing" from an Archive box, or would there be 8 extra base cards / chase cards?

I agree, the binder looks great!! I love the "watery-blue" effect.

I too am looking forward to having all the team members autos (i hope they all have agreed to sign at some point), but i'm especially pleased that they're not all in the Season 1 set - I can see Atlantis running a good few seasons (at least the "standard" seven) and if all the main cast sign early on it means either repetitve signers filling the latter seasons, or "just" guest characters, which isn't a bad thing, it's just nice to have main-cast autos spaced out inbetween.

I've already pre-ordered my cases, and the company doesn't know the exact price yet!!

Darn! Bang goes my idea to sell my spare cards "officially" out of the back of a van. LoL.

I don't suppose saying "I'm gonna sell on eBay" counts...  

I recently sold one of my cards to a guy on a tropical-island observatory, so maybe i could sell my cards "by parachute" - my business plan is to buy a plane and para-drop the merchandise to my buyers - it's inventive, original, wacky - it could work.... right....?

That's cool, I really appreciate your honesty and the respect you show your dealers. It's good to see your protecting your current clients, not just trying to flog cards to any ol' soul.

Is it as simple as saying, for example;

My father, who is self employed as a fishing tackle rep. (i.e. nothing to do with cards), if he could get VAT registered at his home address, could I have cards shipped there with all the "dealer" perks?

Does anyone know where I could / should look for detailed legal documentation regarding becoming an official dealer?

I'd get (and have got) the multi-case incentives when ordering multiple cases from an online UK company, but what sort of percentage discount do dealers get?

For example, RA list a case of new product at roughly $950. Would any UK dealers (or Joanna herself, in the case of my example) be willing to say how much they pay for their cases?

This is all hypothetical questioning really, I have no funds, no clue about selling goods (cards, or otherwise) and no reason other than interest for wanting to know all this stuff...
