I have had to claim once on Paypal.  It was very straight forward except that there was a programming fault on my account!  I rang Paypal, spoke to a brilliant bloke who sorted it out and I got my money (as it happens the parcel arrived nearly a year later and so I just re-sent the money).  I may have been lucky but there was no aggro at all.

When you talk about chargeback do you mean claiming from your credit card?  I know in the UK the credit card companies are resisting paying out on claims like this.  Their argument is that you you paid Paypal and not the vender for the goods.  As you have no problem with the service Paypal gave, you cannot claim on your card ie it is a third party claim.  I know there is lots going on in the courts to resolve this.

Personally I would claim from Paypal -I think the seller will pay out if you threaten to have them suspended on Ebay/Paypal for selling fakes.

I truly hope something is done about these auctions in the future.  They have always caused problems and the way they have played out this year has proved things need to change.

I don't have any thoughts one way or another about splitting sets but I do have many thoughts about one dealer buying all of the cards.  If push comes to shove I would rather Artbox auctioned the cards directly on Ebay, giving anyone a chance to bid, even if they are the top bidder only briefly.

Everyone who goes to the show spends out a lot of money - this is their choice.  Bogleg had to pay for an airfare from the UK, a hotel and entrance to the show.  Just for information he collected many, many things (some free, some that were cheap) for other collectors in the UK.  He did not sell any of these items, he didn't even ask for postage on some of the smaller items.  He did this because he knows other people are not as fortunate in being able get to the show.  Bogleg goes to San Diego to see the show, not in the expectation of making a profit (or paying his expenses).

Maybe that is the difference between a collector and a dealer.

Terry this was one of the reasons I stopped collecting comics.  Storage issues aside comics/cards are for looking at and admiring.  Being hermetically sealed does detract from this.  Yes in fifty years time they will still be in the same condition but I want to enjoy these things now.  As has been said it is a matter of opinion but unless something was worth thousands I wouldn't want it in a sealed case.

I have just spoken to Boggy and he thought the four card set was a bit larger than normal - the same size as the Death Eater exclusives.  He said the 6 card POTTER set is normal trading card size and absolutely gorgeous.  But to be fair he is having such a good time he may have got it muddled.  He said he would try and post a sneaky picture if he is allowed.

I am pleased to see some nice colourful cards in this set.  I do like the backgrounds on the MM cards but they can be a bit 'wishy washy'.  Props and costumes have always been my favourites so this set is right up my street.

It seems like an age since we had a new set.  With the HBP coming I can see EBay profits going through the roof

Thanks for the link Cindy.  One of our senior politicians has the same type of eyelashes and took a lot of stick when he appeared on Question Time.

Was I the only one that never for a second believed that the survivor revealed last week was actually dead? I remember watching the finale last year and saying...nope, no way. he's fine.

Since everyone seems to be on the same episode I think I am safe to put forward a theory Bogleg has come up with.

Penny and Desmond have a son named Charlie, named after the now drowned hobbit.  However what if that little boy is in fact Charlie Pace?  Boggy thinks that somehow the baby will go back in time, grow up into a junky rocker, befriend Desmond on a mysterious island and eventually croak it, leading to Desmond naming his first born after his bestest friend!  Ahh the never ending circle of time travel   

I personally am more interested in any theories on Richard - why doesn't he leap in time, why is he so old, why does he wear more eyeliner than Russell Brand   

First, it's nice to see you back!   Second, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That sketch set is amazing!   Wait until Jackie sees it.   Did you frame all of the cards together or are they in a 9-pocket page?

To be honest I haven't put them away yet  .  I have been woefully lax in putting my cards away and have little piles all over the place.  Well actually I have huge piles all over the place!  My reasoning behind this is that I will now start scanning the cards before they go in a folder........ now to just plug in the scanner 

Anyway the plan is to put them in a 9 pocket page.  I know they look amazing as a single picture but they are nine separate mini masterpieces and I want this to be seen.

I thought I would start by sharing one of my Christmas presents from my brother Bogleg and my more normally named other brother Martin.



These amazing sketch cards are by the immensely talented Sean Pence.  They may look like one large picture but are in fact a nine card set.  I know this is said many times but a scan does not do these justice - in the reality they are simply wow!

So thank you to the 'boys' and especially to Sean

On to Harmony.  I have only one word for this - Perfect  .  If Outcast is as good as this one then this season really will have been special.  I can't say how much I enjoyed Harmony  .  It had two of my favourite characters (even I have to admit Ronon would have been out of place) and the sort of witty dialogue that made SG popular in the first place.

I think what I like most about this series is that the characters say what we are thinking - when Rodney comments on the 'alien chicks' and John it is so true  .  And wasn't the little princess fab  .  She reminds me of a young Dawn from Buffy.  I really hope they return to that planet at some time, so much more fun than the Genii 

I have a slight reservation about Outcast though  .  How many more replicators can they find now the species has been wiped out?  I mean I always got the impression if you even had a tiny replicator then you basically had a huge problem.  If they keep coming up with left over bits then it makes the whole 'destroy the homeworld' episode a bit pointless.  Oh at this stage I should mention that I don't believe Elizabeth is a replicator any more.  Don't ask me what I think she is cos I haven't go that far yet 

I probably shouldn't be reading this yet as I haven't seen the first episode but ....... could two of the 6 that make it home be Michael and Walt?

Wow that is absolutely perfect  .  I think that is a very strong contender for THE card of this set 



Kindli I think there may be an error in your listing for the UK.  It says that the expensive postage ($65) covers for loss or damage up to $100 - should this be $1000?

Well the internet hasn't kicked me off for ten minutes and I have caught up with Stargate - life is good 

I have to say I loved Quarantine.  I thought all the right people were trapped with each other for the right comic effect - although I would have loved Teylor to have gone into labour, she looks big enough 

I am pleased like you that Rodney and Katie have been sorted although it was sort of sad.  But who was hero of the day  .  Good old Zelenka  .  Funniest bit though was Radek getting an eyeful of Miss National Treasure 

OK they have now got their act together and the 'family friendly' version is now being shown on a Thursday at 7 pm.  Of course it is only 6 minutes long ..... 

If they do split this film I expect they will do it the same as The Matrix ie they will release both films within a few months of each other.  Whilst I like the idea of not rushing the films I really think that OotP or HBP would have been a better choice for two films
