As far as which I'm missing(in-person)- I've gotten a lot, but with a cast of millions like in this trilogy, it's never ending...... still need:

Sort of mostly people who don't leave the UK or Australia much(for appearances anyway) Along those lines, I'm rather surprised that John Noble just popped out of nowhere for an appearance

Almost a never ending quest, but that also makes it more fun I think.

Hey savage, I have a bookshelf that's filled with SSW statues. It has adjustable shelving, which is definitely a huge plus to accomodate the various sizes efficiently.

Of course, that shelf is overstuffed at the moment! Need another soon

Yep I ordered em- don't have any spares as I think they were 1 per customer.

Roz: Nope, I brought my sketch pad in both cases. I like this much better as I can admire them every day just by looking on the wall! There's no real practical way to display a sketch in a book I don't think.

I've finally put up my long report of the convention here

Clearly labled in sections so you can skip to whichever your're most
interested in. Caution, the "star" portion of the report is a bit more
casual and not anything like a transcript of exactly what they said,
what they did etc. I figured there would be plenty of other people who
could provide that so why waste the energy eh?

Highlight of the event bar none, was chatting it up with Dan Falconer.
Not only because I am a big art guy but just because of his genuine
and kind demeanor. And you can also see my most treasured prize from
the entire weekend which was a sketch from Daniel.

Here's a pic of it framed, next to it's companion, a Alan Lee Treebeard sketch!

Actually I'm up to 5 now! 2 smeagol, 2 orc overseer and 1 grima  Everything is really good besides the no photos rule. That really bites.

Yeah the busts- first I don't know how many people to show up there got a free smeagol bust, and a raffle ticket. If you won, you got an overseer bust, which I did!

Got good pics of the two statues probably most requested for pics- Sauron and Eowyn. Sauron ones came out really clear considering I didn't use flash. As before, certain pics are heavily watermarked to prevent ebay use.

As far as the star pics, they are blurry- my camera wasn't designed to take pics from the distance although I was pretty close to the stage (4th row). Flash was worthless from this distance, so there it is!

Will write a detailed write-up when the entire weekend is through. Dead tired, bring on tomorrow (and the unveiling of the new Pippin statue!)
