X-Men (I couldn't think of an individual character for X)
4  Trading cards / Trading card sets / Re: The Complete Avengers Card Set on: November 30, 2006, 10:51:54 PM
My favorite is Mike Lilly's Mr. Fantastic.

That was the first sketch I pulled!  The colors on the sketch really make Mr. Fantastic look fantastic. Cool

On a side note, I was a little disappointed that I was unable to complete all three chase sets from one case.  Mathematically it was possible, but the collation was off and I got many duplicates. Tongue  I was short one LH and 3 MH cards. Undecided

The Dillon sketch is my favorite also. Grin  All of the sketches are really nice and they look so much better in-hand too. Cool  The colors are very vibrant, but unfortunately the scanner doesn't pick that up.

11  Harry Potter / Harry Potter: Memorable Moments / Re: MM scans and comments on: November 25, 2006, 09:47:23 PM
Got an email from my seller and he says its black/brown on the left and green/grey on the right. Is that a good variant?

The DC4 comes in two versions, the Robe & Grey Jumper or the Robe and Tie.  The Robe and Tie version seems to sell for more on eBay.

13  Harry Potter / Chamber of Secrets Set / Re: Chamber of Secrets Set on: November 21, 2006, 12:18:17 AM
I don't think that there will be an update for COS ..now Anna is partially right about about the props and costumes but the main reason that there is an update (besides they can sell more cards and get Warrick Davis to sign again) is really the main reason is that they don't give away most of the story line and the ending, as if no one has read any books Huh? if you notice most of all the update series deal with the last 1/2 of the movie as the original release is almost all the first half of the movie and that includes costume and props also

I didn't know that Mo. Shocked  I guess I should re-read the base cards. Roll Eyes  Oh yes, we must get another Warwick Davis auto. Roll Eyes  Tongue
14  Harry Potter / Chamber of Secrets Set / Re: Chamber of Secrets Set on: November 20, 2006, 11:02:57 PM
but did SS have an update?Huh

No, there wasn't an update for SS.  The reason Artbox puts out an update set is because all the props and costumes they want to use for the set aren't available to them from Warner Brothers when the original set is released.  So, since the CoS movie was released years ago, there shouldn't be an update set.

Are the coins larger, or just the cards?

Just the cards are larger, the coins are the same size in both versions.
18  Harry Potter / Chamber of Secrets Set / Re: Chamber of Secrets Set on: November 15, 2006, 10:07:44 PM
Anna, it's an adult MANDRAKE. See his goatee.  Grin

ROFL!  ROFL!  OKay, so the adult Mandrakes are triangular shaped and have goatees. Grin  Got it! Wink
19  Harry Potter / Chamber of Secrets Set / Re: Chamber of Secrets Set on: November 15, 2006, 08:59:04 PM
Does anyone else think the mandrake picture is strange?

I thought the Mandrake picture looked odd also.  It's shaped triangular, but in the movie the Mandrakes' bodies resembled a human torso. Undecided
20  Harry Potter / Goblet of Fire Trading Cards from Artbox / Re: My New Card GOF on: November 15, 2006, 08:53:16 PM
Thanks everyone. Smiley  I won it in a BIN auction.  The strange thing about the BIN auction was that the seller had two P10a cards and this variant was cheaper than the one with writing.  I was very pleased to find the auction. Cheesy
