Thanks. Who counts the time  Wink It took quite a time to find resources/graphics/artists online. The Year with the yeti book was made from scans a member posted here. For the Daily Prophet I remember some people said its tabloid. But the size paper is different from movie to movie. But I think tabloid is the most accurate.

I made some pics of my HP book-board: http://www.hooverae.com/upload/files/190709/2390209.jpeg
And I have some props as a permanent display in my room: http://www.hooverae.com/upload/files/190709/2403673.jpeg
You see a quidditch programm sold by tymex, a chocolate frog packaging, every flavoured beans package, a ministry flyer, a train ticket [its too shiny on the picture] and Harrys wand.

Both alternative would be nice to have them in my book-board with my other HP books lol.
But before I have to search for more cliparts. Maybe the artists use stuff from the dover collection again. But I am not sure.
Where did you found the picture? It looks like its from a french exhibition.
I would die for pix of the inside pages Grin , but I am guessing we have to wait for the DVD until we get proper screen shots.

Thank you lemon²uk, I know what you mean with the stucking point. But I am a fan of old tomes of mysterious lore and wisedom and the charmed BOS is a great book among others so it drove me crazy until I had one. LOL

I have not seen the film yet but am dying too! I am also very interested in making the potions book however i think there are two versions (old and new) that have slightly different cover artwork?

Can anyone confirm this?

yes your are right, there are two books, a new edition for the rest of the potion making class and one old used example that Harry use. Here is a picture of a similar cover: http://www.portkey.it/galleries/albums/pms/figurine//Album%206/IMG_0049_%5BRisoluzione_del_desktop%5D.jpg

Hi folks, long time since my last post. I saw the movie and it has very nice props in it. The most amazing for me is the "advanced potion making" book. Does anyone has good screen captures of the scenes with the book in it? I am looking for the cover and the inside pages. And of course the Daily Prophet my all time favourite  Grin

For the b-day of a friend I made this: http://www.hooverae.com/upload/files/190709/5795450.jpeg
Sorry for the bad quality, mobile cam. Its an antique frame with the hogwarts acceptance letter + envelope and ticket in it. The gift looked amazing and I would have kept it for myself but as I said it was a present lol

the next pics are without word, I guess you now what they are LOL:

@lemonlemonuk: thanks for the link with the bos pages, very helpfull Smiley if you like i can post more pics of my BOS. The pages aren't aged yet, but think of it as a rejunivation spell LOL

The last double-spread page is my absolute fav.

Before some of you argue, the graphics are not made by myself. After hours of searching I was happy to get in contact with very talented artists who made them.  Grin

Hey everyone, did anybody bought the Slytherin locket?
Can you share some hi-res pics of the front and the back. On pics it looks pretty nice but I heard its just cheap plastic. Can those of you who bought it share some thoughts on this.

I have never seen this before??? Probably in deleted scenes on the special features disk.

Hm I thought it was visible in the movie. Huh

I had this project in my mind for a long time and it was like an rollercoaster, up and down. I started then stopped and started again and so on. But I am confident to finish my work now.
13  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: Prop Replicas on: October 22, 2008, 01:36:10 AM
Some of them came from the charmed magazin (available online), others I found online and some I bought.
So I collect the pages and assembled them.
The book is post-bound, can hold 500 pages and I am planning to fill it all.  Grin
Now there are around 90 pages in the book but thats just the beginning.

What do you think?

The symbols are also used on the Quidditch World Cup Program and on the surface of the Alethiometer (from Northern Lights). I wonder if they are found items or both movies had the same prop master.
16  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: Prop Replicas on: October 03, 2008, 10:22:48 PM
I am looking for these signs:
http://www.hooverae.com/upload/files/031008/9784565.gif
Are they a font or something or maybe custom made from the prop master, any idea?
17  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: Prop Replicas on: October 01, 2008, 03:21:25 AM
Very bad things happened, the book binder refused my order. First he doesn't respond to my mails, than he said from week to week the book will be ready and then nothing  Angry
Fortunately I got my money back. So I have to find a new book binder. But the project is still actual and in my mind. As soon as I have something to show you will all see. I promise Cheesy Please be patient.

Sorry to hear that. But you can learn from those disasters. Do always back-ups on CD or USB-Stick.

Cool Pirates of the Caribbean 4, hopefully the movie don't jump the shark.
20  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: Prop Replicas on: September 25, 2008, 09:42:44 PM
I already expand the search on all collections, not just dover. I would say that the pics are combined from two or more pictures.
The link with the larger extreme incantations is great, thanks.
