Thanks for the plug. It is tabuckeye.  It's hard to part but I try to remind myself that I can buy again if all goes well with the move.

Hopefully I'm not out of line by starting a new thread for self promotion.  But since I'll be moving to Florida, it's time to part with my favorite hobby, my autographed cards.  Currently listed on ebay and ending Sunday, October 23 is The Triple, The Quad, Harry from Goblet and 2 Hermiones, one from Azkaban regular set and the one from Azkaban update set.  Although likely a money loser, it was alot of fun collecting and trying to fill out the set for the update set, but it's time to change priorities.  I didn't think that I would ever sell the triple. thanks for looking and hopefully something will appeal to a Yak Shack member.

Sorry so late in getting back, but I've been away for Christmas. (yes, no internet for almost a week). Anyway I received a refund on the card on Dec 23rd, so I thought I would let everyone know that the seller did come thru with that. I'm grateful for the advice from members, who obviously have more experience with this than I do. Thanks, Tony

Just said that refund is acceptable for this item.  and did ask to return the card.  I'll make sure someone has to sign off on receiving the card.

not only hoping that it's minimal but also hoping that it's a new development, and the cards that I did buy 2-4 years ago are legit. but it does certainly make you wonder.

Just heard back from this seller already (just a few hours), who said he would refund my money for this card. Good news!

thanks not only for the advice but for your efforts in making this an enjoyable hobby (plus hopefully saving me $375).  I've purchased 7 or 8 cards, and had another instance were I paid for the card and didn't receive it.  (a seller in Australia who got quite a few people)  Thankfully in that case I was able to get my money back.  So having someone look out for us is greatly appreciated. I think once I look at the card closer (with the seemingly large amount of evidence), I'll probably only wait  2 or 3 days to allow him/her time to respond.  Off this subject for a second, what are your opinions on getting cards graded?  I'm a collector, not a seller, and have never had cards graded.  I only have about 6 HP auto cards (although I did collect Baseball cards growing up), so I know the signifigance in price for graded cards.  Still don't know about sending my cards off though.

Hi. I'm talking about the Daniel Radcliffe card that got this thing thread started.  The reason I was even considering sending it off to be graded was that when I got the card I thought it felt a little off.  I just hadn't seen anything up to this point about fake cards and obviously didn't really consider looking at the auto that close (won't happen again). Plus the seller had a 99+ positive rating with a high number of auctions. I will certainly learn from this, and will let you know if I hear back from Artbox.

I'm glad I was looking at this site and found this information. I contacted the seller a little bit ago, and also emailed a copy to Artbox to see what they think.  The good thing is that although refunds weren't offered by the seller, it does qualify for Ebay buyer protection.  I won't get home until tomorrow, but can't wait to check out the card again, especially since it didn't feel right (thickness-wise). Will let you know how it goes. Thanks 

Hey, I'm thinking I'm the one who purchased the card in question.  Stuck at work now, but will look closer when I get home later.  An earlier post mentioned that Artbox confirmed it was a fake.  Is that the direction I should go in, or should I send it off to a grading service.  Any help would be appreciated. You know I just got similar advice this weekend about trying to go through my credit card company, and called them today.  I had purchased two autograph cards, one of which is still going thru the paypal procedure, but on the other autograph card when I called my credit card, they talked like I could be reimbursed.  My understanding is that they will email the seller, and give her a chance to contest, if she doesn't I'll get the credit, and if she does, I suppose that there will be another type of ruling on the dispute thru them.   It appears that when you go thru Paypal, that although they always suggest that you pay thru your bank account, that you're much safer with the credit card. (not necessarily more fiscally responsible though, if you're anything like me).  But thanks again for the advice, and something for others to look into.  Tony

Hey Rich, this is Tony, the other person who ordered two of the autographed cards from Selina.  She offered me the quad as a second chance purchase on ebay for $430, and I received info from Paypal today that they were requesting more information from her, so that case is still going on.  I don't know if you received anything from Paypal about this, but on April 3 I received an email from Paypal saying that Selina said she shipped the item out, and even had a tracking number from the Australian Post.  The tracking number never did work, and was, I assume, a way to stall.  As far as the other card I ordered (it was the triple for $970), I purchased that directly from her, thinking she had a business, and that Paypal still covered all purchases not just ebay purchases.  After all, it was the same person, with the same 99.5 rating.  Anyway, the info from paypal two weeks ago was that the case was investigated, and it was found that I had won the case, but that they were unable to recover any funds from her and that they would keep trying, but the case was closed.  I've been trying to wait to see what the results to the last case would be before continuing, but I'm out $1400 and plan to take further action when I hear back from Paypal on the last case.  So if anyone from Australia is reading this and know of a good lawyer, or any suggestions ( I don't know the laws in Australia, and the costs of pursuing), I would greatly appreciate your help.  Also I wonder if Paypal would try and help me if I went on my own, to try and recover the lost funds.  Thanks for listening, and would accept any and all suggestions.
