Looks like he has just started posting prop cards, will there be autographs soon to follow????  I have my fingers crossed!!!  I would love to see what the autographs look like.   Is Richard pulling an all nighter opening packs?  I sure hope he has help :)

I do wish that he would post the numbers on the back of the costumes and prop cards so we can get a feel for what we are up against here.  Although you can tell by the price of the "buy it now" which ones must be rarer than the others.

I want to see one of the big autographs on there, as see what kind of buy it now he puts on it.  He sure didn't list many prop cards, I wonder if the autographs are more than 2 per case???  There are so many questions!!!!!  So far I think the Dawn French auto is my favorite, out of the ones he has posted.

Yes, I would not be dissappointed to pull her autograph.  I do like the Warwick Davis autograph as well, I just wish it was of him when he was  wizard, not a conductor (I believe he was Flitwick??)  Roz, do you know if he pulled any of the main autographs?

There's a good selection of costume cards, although there's yet another Harry black robe.  That makes two with the first set and two with the update.  Plus, another Hermione robe and pink sweater, and Harry t-shirt.  Even so, the cards look great!

He seems to have at least one of everything Zach!!!

I am not sure he's selling it ALL just yet though!

Wow!!  He must have cracked alot of cases already.  I am excited to get some kind of break down odds and card numbering and everything.  Tell him to drink some coffee and slap himself around a little and post some good info here for all the crazy collectors. :)

Is whats wierd is they show they started over an hour ago, and they are just showing up now, that is strange.  But that whomping willow card is amazing!!!!

I must agree, it is a nice card.  I had a dealer sell me one for $250, so I will have it here in about a week.  I am very excited about that.  :)

He was told by artbox that it was to be numbered out of 172, but I think they must have told him that was what it was for the 10 case incentive card.  He felt that at 172 cards $250 was a fair price, which if it is numbered out of 172 then that will be a fair price.  Either way, I bought it for $250, as I figured it would find a nice home in my collection.

It's hard to judge when these are the first cards on eBay.  After more people get their boxes and start selling the cards, we'll see what happens to the prices.

True, too early to tell, especially when we don't know the no's per card yet.

Yes, but at only 2 autographs per case (at least last we heard) and the top autos most likely being very shortprinted, I would expect to see the prices stay fairly high.  Especially for Harry, as I don't think there are very many of his, and he will be sooooooo sought after.  Just my thoughts

I agree.  I would like to know how many Harry autos there are, since the current BIN is roughly the same as the Whomping Willow and pear tree leaf cards.

But if they were both about the same in rarity, I would take the autograph anyday!!!

aaagh! I want them all!  Not a chance though, only getting 5 boxes and my pockets are not that deep.

Though, the cards all look fantastic, and I'll be very jealous of everyone until my boxes make it to Oz...

Yea I know, it is so hard in Oz cause we will have to watch everyone else basking in the joy of opening their boxes/cases and we will be waiting....and waiting.....and waiting....  :'(  but when I pull my triple auto, the wait will be all worth it!!!  ;)

Think of when other sets came out like star wars heritage the first auto's where much more expensive then they can be had for now.  The Hamill auto's were going for about $2500 I think they are about $1000 or more less now.  Of course some cards will go up when it is better know how many there are out there since Artbox isn't saying production runs for auto's.  I still think the double costume isn't going to be as rare as everyone seems to think.  We will find out.

23 Costume cards is going to be a real killer - I am still trying to get all the catwoman costume cards and there are only 14 of them! Looks like this set might top the first.

I think more people will be getting cases today, however the UK sellers will be a bit distracted as it's the London Film and Comic Con this weekend (in case you had been wondering where Ben disappeared to). But never fear people like Tomunique are expecting their cases anytime :)

Just want to make a comment about this set... I got to give a lot of love to artbox for the update set. They could have pulled a fast one... like Topps ... and printed up a bunch of garbage with limited inserts and autos... like one every 4-5 cases... but they did not. They exceeded my expectations on this set... tons of props, autos, and memorabilia cards for everyone. You almost could say this one surpasses the original. Get some more boxes before they go nuts by christmas. GO JOB ARTBOX.

Very true - the cards are printed in much larger numbers this time which we have been expecting for a while. But this set is far nicer than the original in truth from the point of props and clothings... yes there are tonnes more "Harry cloaks" and things. but there's a LOT of variety - Aunt Marge, Draco, Madam Trelawney etc!

I can see how Artbox got 2803 swatches from a Quidditch robe, but how did they get 2900 from Lupin's jacket?  It sounds like they had more than one.

So, 250 is the lowest number for a costume card and 335 for the pack-pulled props.  It doesn't look like there will be any very rare cards except for the case incentives.

And the autos!!!!

I think actually they will still be a bit pricey because you have to open so many cases to get them. But I don't think that they will be so out of our reach as the last set  ;D

If I count correctly have we far more than 20000 Costume Cards.

If the ratio still is 1 Costume per Box has we more hobbies boxes than we thought by far.

Good point, T&F.  There are 23073 costume cards, not including the Cedric Diggory Quidditch robe.  For the sake of argument then, let's say there's an even 24,000 cards.  Artbox does hold some back in case people receive damaged or defective cards, so drop that down to 22000 (just a guess).  

If there is one costume per box, then there are 22000 boxes or 2200 cases.  All we need are the numbers for the case loaders to confirm this.

The retail Harry robe and retail "mystery" costume are not included in these figures.

This is true about the cost of the Harry t-shirt (I have the last one though and am happy).  I just hope out of my meesley 3 boxes, I can pull something that is not numbered over 2000.

Well, if you add up the number of props inserted in packs (7680) and divide by 3 (for 3 per case), you get 2560.  Take out some that Artbox will hold, and we're back to 2000-2200 cases.

I a hoping with all of these that it is still one costume per box at least, and a possibilty to get more than just the one card in the box. It seems like there are so manym there should be more than one card in each box, and hopefully no duds.  

Do you think the prices on these will be high or low since there are so many.  I assume those over 2000 will be fairly low, but what about this Daily Prophet, or the Grim fur?

Quite a nice wake-up call here, folks.  If mornings were always this exciting, I'd sleep a whole lot less.

Concerning the amount of chasers, my dealer told me that Artbox printed 3x the amount of boxes this time.  If you do the math, that means:

     5,000
     x 3
     = 15,000 + 4,000 retail boxes
     = 19.000

Add to that the three tins.  Lets say they are each limited to 1,000, meanining an additional 3,000 special cards.  

     19,000
     + 3,000
     = 22,000  - The number Roz surmised earlier on.

This is assuming one per box and not counting the autograph cards.
Guess we'll all know soon enough.

By the way, take a look at the pic of the Harry Robe card I pulled from the retail box.  It's the same as one of the ones MPC posted. (Numbered to 2575).  Does this mean that the cards in the retail boxes/tins will also be included in the hobby boxes, or did MPC open retail boxes/tins, too?

Actually, I was never the high bidder at all.

I think the prices will go down very soon.  They are higher now because no one has their boxes yet!!!!!

As a bit of a reference the Weasley Quiditch robe was down around the $20 - $25 a month after the first set was released. I think this is a set to wait a little before buying up. With the big three autos I think the box prices will remain strong but probably the bigger winner will be the first set because more people will start trying to complete their first sets.

Although this set has so many more than the last set, and loads over 1000 per card.  So they should drop fairly quickly, I would think.

This is one nice set!!

By the way I spoke to Cards Inc today who confirmed the print run of 1300 cases.

Well that makes no sense with the amount of cards.  That is 13,000 boxes, right?  And how many costumes and props are there total?  Something doesn't add up here.

And the half of 1300 have been sent to Cards.inc.

2600 cases are very likely.

Look at Gimlis cards from his 25 cases. He got 76 cinema cards. TaF hal calculated right, we must have more than 2500 cases.

The same with the costume and prop cards. If you calculate how much he got, how much he should get and how much are produced you end up at more than 2500 cases. You end between 2500 and 2600 when calculating these cards and 2700 with only the Cinema Cards.

I think, the truth is in the middle.
