: Costume Card exclusive to retail : greenpaw November 04, 2004, 11:47:17 AM Hi
I realise this topic will soon become obsolete as we are flooded with new info over the next coupl of days but there's an auction on ebay stating that a costume card is exclusive to retail boxes. Also states retail boxes are limited to 2000!Auction id is #6129083483 Inger : Re:Costume Card exclusive to retail : Roz November 04, 2004, 02:33:57 PM Interesting!!!
Although we did hear at one point that the 2 clothing cards available from the tins would be in the retail boxes too! So I guess this is just one of the 2 Full auction link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6129083483 : Re:Costume Card exclusive to retail : Tea_and_Fruit November 04, 2004, 03:59:06 PM If we can find the 2 Costumes in 2000 Hobby Boxes + ????? Tins are the cards common like the Weasley Quidditch Robe.
if this is right we can buy these cards at Ebay for 10-20 each like the Weasley one : Re:Costume Card exclusive to retail : kbmum November 04, 2004, 10:19:34 PM They might be more expensive. Right now, a retail box goes for $40-$45 (at least it does on one dealer site and the auction), so sellers will want to recoup that cost.
: Re:Costume Card exclusive to retail : Roz November 04, 2004, 11:01:38 PM Yeah - basically - like buying a base set the cost of that set is funded by the rest of the cards in the box - after all on that nice glossy card you don't think the true cost of a base set would really be E3-4 do you?
So the dealers will have to recoup on foils, base sets and the costume card to break a little profit for themselves - despite the high number of cards available. |
