Hee hee - nOOb question Ben! So....

Welcome to the forum samwise 16, I hope you have a nice time here, we run occasional competitions (and shall have one up presently) and generally put lots of threads on what's happening in our favourite card sets anywhere on this forum.

The 25 case incentive is the Whomping willow (continuing with the leafy feel of the pricey cards).

 ::)

It's all put down quite clearly in this post here:

 :o  :o

Should i delete this thread now, or face humliation  :-\ LMAO

I swear it was going to be the beakbeak feather but another leaf, how boring  :-X Come to think of it though, what else could it have been. I can imaging the 25 case card for GoF being a leaf from the graveyard  ::)

Nah we only speculated it was buckbeaks feather as we didn't think they could get that many cards out of one feather ;)

:) you have too much power to erase your mistakes ;) personally I'd leave it - there are a couple of fairly humiliating threads about me still on the board, it's useful for real newbies to the set IMHO :D

I think a Whomping Willow card is a lot more interesting than a pear tree leaf card.   After all, the pear trees did nothing and were hardly noticeable in the film.  But the WW has an "active" part.  It also has many more leaves, so it's too bad for most of us that Artbox wasn't able/didn't want to make more of the cards.

I'm on the boundry of being banned, usually because when i want to quote peoples post i accidently press the 'Modify' button and write inside their post lol  ::)

True... but surely the WW was completely CG?

I dunno  ::)

I few of my trees in my graden like to go a bit mental and start fighting

: Re:Multi-Case incentive card (25 cases)

There was an actual man-made tree with leaves.  I saw several TV specials here on the making of the film, and one scene focused on Harry and Hermione trying to get to the underground passage while being attacked by the tree.  The movement of the limbs was CG, but the director was making the actors move around as if they were about to be hit.
