How many boxes will be made? Last time we have 5000 but a better auto ratio so the print run will this time mutch larger or not?  :-[ that means more sets

Yes and it certainly seems to mean more costumes too!

But I still have no confirmed print run - 800-1000 cases seems to be what the rumours imply

But i didn´t know yet that the Book of Monsters-Card will be a 10 case incentive. I think, it will be too expensive for me. :(

The auto ratio seems to stink, if you got 5 auto's per case (avg) last time and they are doubling the production run (I believe we had 10 auto's last time and 14 this time)  then the auto's must be more limited this time around!?!?!?

The math doesn't seem to work out that well unless they are doing 1500 cases this time!?

I would think with more signers that it would allow them to keep the ratios similar to last set, or maybe at least 3 per case.

If you bought 7 cases and pulled no dups on the auto's you would be able to get all 14 auto's.  Of course a couple will probably be short prints and very hard to get!   So I think it will be a very very tough set to complete except for the costumes which I would guess will be around 1000 cards each costume!  

Just my thought roz, what do you think?  I just don't think it is fair to the collectors who don't have the resources to buy 5 + cases.  Most of these cards have the potential to be very expensive.

I remember it was written in some post here that there was a possibility for dual cards. My sister, for example, collects Stargate cards from Rittenhouse, and they have cards with two signers, which is referred to as a dual action card (or something like that). Could it be a possibility that some of these cards are done like such? Like a Crabbe and Goyle dual card, etc ... Otherwise, like you said beckham1, it would be very difficult to complete the auto set. Strickly speculation, though.

On another note, I am hoping Japan is getting some of the hobby boxes. Artbox has yet to confirm the distribution. I'm hoping that my host-mother will send me some for christmas (hopefully wishes only, though)!

Even as an Artbox fangirl  ;D I do have to agree with you Becks, an average outlay of £200 to get an auto (though admittedly you get other cards on the way) seems rather a lot.

However, the whole auto story may turn out to be more complicated than expected... for example we have heard rumours that a Warick Davies auto will be distributed in a tin with a set of cards at an event in Birmingham in the Midlands of the UK in Novemeber. Will this be instead of the autos inserted in packs?

So don't panic yet!

Yes I think you will be happy about forthcoming auto annoucements, if the rumors ARE true they are considerably better than most of the ones we have known about for a while ...

Do house elves only perform chores around the house, or could they babysit two rambunctious four-year-olds and keep them from killing each other?  I certainly don't seem to have much success at it.  :-\

I have been watching the forum for a while now and waiting for the news of the auto's and this is PERFECT!!!

Well I dont think that I will be getting a Ron auto as I am just a lone collector. Hoping to get a couple of boxes of the update set but I doubt I will pull a 'Ron.' Good luck to everyone else though, I cant wait to hear what you all pull.  ;D

Well, whilst I have never done it I do know some people who have managed to pull top cards out of just one or two boxes *cough* Zach *cough* ROTK Peter Jackson!

I do admit, that was a magical moment filled with much screaming and laughing and even a little crying.  :)   With any luck I will hit a hotbox on my first opened box of the update and get all the autographs, although I think my odds are a little better for that to happen   ;)

Yes, the evil people at the financial office of my university sent their henchemen after me and I was forced to sale the PJ card.  Although I really didnt' fancy it much anyways as my other PJ autograph card is just as good, plus I have both the prints from sideshow (Alan  Lee and John Howe) and his sig is on those as well, and they are much cooler than a card.  My mom has sold most of her POA artbox boxes. I believe she is down to just a few boxes (I wanna say 6, but am not sure)  I just listed one of my last 3 boxes (and a whole host of prop and costume, and autograph cards) to help get ready for the many boxes of the update that I have coming.
