There was retail packaging for movies 3-4-5 and their updates and 3-D 2nd edition. There may have been others, but even then they never showed up in the stores around here (it's not a big region for non-sports cards) and I didn't note auctions for different retail and hobby configurations. It was my impression that sales pretty much all moved to the internet and the hobby market, with our lust for more autos, costumes, and props!
