: The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore : LikORish-Spider February 13, 2011, 03:04:53 AM I found this pix on an ebay listing.
It's a great "map" for locating the Swatches on the P11 card. It's a little "fuzzy" due to the refection from the silver lable. If anyone has any better please post it. Many of the swatches I have seen do not seem to have come from the front, including a variant I purchased. : Re: The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore : portlaw February 14, 2011, 11:06:55 PM You would not believed what just happened from artbox,
I got a dud box as many of you know and came home today to see a package from artbox with: a cfc, lucious malfoy costume and a p11 the life and lies of albus dumbledore ;D Last week they told me the sales management would be in touch but they never were but sent out these cards, great customer service in my experience :) Anyways the reason why i posted here is that the p11 variant i got seems to be from the back as i cannot see it on the front here : Re: The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore : portlaw February 15, 2011, 02:39:30 AM Here is the p11 prop i was given :)

That was VERY nice of them. Since they do not guarantee any inserts per box, they didn't have to send you anything. Even if they did, one card would have been enough. They went above and beyond. Good for you and them!
: Re: The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore : portlaw February 15, 2011, 03:06:33 AM I know what you mean, when i saw the package i was thinking that it might have been like a chase set or something but still very very professional of them :) i suppose its because there wont be many dud boxes? :-\

If they had emailed me first to tell me they were sending 3 i would have told them one was enough as i dont feel it was their fault that the box was dud and another i was thinking was how did they have extra cards? do they keep some themselves or did they like a open a box or something? ??? : Re: The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore : kbmum February 16, 2011, 08:49:45 AM All card manufacturers set aside a certain number of each premium card. Sometimes cards are damaged when they're inserted in packs or there's a defect in a card from the manufacturing process. They have extras as replacements. Artbox also uses its extras at SDCC for auctions and goodie bags at the show.

If I remember correctly, Jeff Allender ran the numbers and it was roughly 1/3 of the cards produced never go into the boxes. That's a LOT of extras. But, look how many autos Inkworks had built up, so it's not just Artbox. Those extras will find the public eventually whether out the back door or in SDCC Goodie Bags. Ed : Re: The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore : portlaw February 16, 2011, 10:29:31 PM So really if there is only a third of each card inserted, for example p11 is numbered out of 180 but there is only 60 available to be pulled from boxes?

I think it's a third is reserved for contingencies. Not quite, 180 X 2 / 3 = 120. Or am I wrong? : Re: The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore : rns91294 February 17, 2011, 01:29:13 AM I have actually received from damaged cars directly from boxes before and sent them in for replacements. It is nice they hold some back for that, but they do hold back more than needed, in my opinion.
