Wow, those look fantastic!  I really like the card designs this time around.  When you have a chance, please let me know what the print runs are for each card.
Print runs for the cards I have pulled and comments:

The Autograph cards are not numbered, of course, standard ARTBOX for them.
I just numbered them A1 to A 5 in the posting for tracking purposes.
First number is the card number, second number is RUN number

C1  014/310  The Swatch has two colors
C2  382/530
C3  419/460 (Will post pix later, in case 2.)
C5  134/500  The specks on the black material are black shiny grains. The scan doesn't show the shine.
C7  273-310
C8  308/380 Nicely centered
C9  242/380
C11 075/280 Material used to create - not worn. YEA! BLACK, Snape, what else?
C12 294/380 Notice that the left most point of the star punch is slightly torn (The white upward curved line). A production problem for sure.
Expect to see more of these.
C13 482/530 Superb centering of the pattern from the shirt
C14 045/510

CFC3 031/247
CFC6 123/247
CFC9 028/247  (3 - 6 - 9, Humm, could this be the indication of a case distribution pattern?)

P7  020/200
P8  114/160
P11 150/180 A light pink scale pattern, the word "The" is on a shiny silver label.

looks amazing :D

You got a great variant of P11!!!

And are any of the other costumes just "material used to create"? I am not surprised that Snape's is....but what about Bellatrix? Do we have any of hers that are actually worn from the other sets? If this one is worn, it may be the first one, right? And Pettigrew?

Otherwise, I love the set so far and the cards you got are great! My four boxes arrived today, but I won't be opening until late Friday night once my son is in bed. Can't wait!

Have your case breaks been the standard 2 hits per box for nine boxes and 3 hits for one box?

: Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 scans and comments thread

I have a question  ::)
The p11 prop of dumbledore book, well is the 180 swatches all from the one book or from multiple ones? :)

: Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 scans and comments thread
: kbmum December 16, 2010, 05:45:48 AM
Since WB has been stingy with the items it allows Artbox to use, my guess is that the swatches come from only one book.  The only way we might know is if we find more than one card with close-to-identical swatches, but that still wouldn't be definitive.

So its not the same book used in the film by hermione? :(

: Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 scans and comments thread
: rns91294 December 17, 2010, 12:35:41 AM
WB provides Artbox with used props. I have actually had the privilege of seeing of Daily Prophet before it was cut up to be put in to cards once. So yes, the book prop was probably used by Hermione in the movie. HOWEVER, there is no way to know for sure. When making a movie, more than one prop is usually made. For example, we got pieces from the Marauders Map in the POAU set, but as you know, the map has been used in all movies since. So there is obviously more than one map.

: Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 scans and comments thread
: portlaw December 17, 2010, 12:39:00 AM
I've read somewhere that there is a new map every movie and there is new wands every film for the characters, im not sure if this is the truth but i like to believe it is :)

that would be an amazing hit to get :)

Yes, no surprise there.
The three 3-card boxes have all been a Costume, CinemaFilm and Prop card assortment.
I also notice that if you get a case with either P2 one of the other two has been a P9 or P10, in one case there was P2, P9, and P10. Makes sense, since these 3 are the high run Prop cards. I have a 4th case that I have not posted yet.
Number 4 had a P1, P2, and you guessed it P9.

Was planning on opening my boxes tonight, but my husband and I have come down with whatever it is our son has, so we are now all sick. I won't enjoy opening them this way, so will need to wait until we are better. Sucks since there are some items on eBay I wanted to bid on, but don't want to buy anything until I open my boxes because I always end up buying something and then pulling it. Oh well, such is life..... Maybe I will feel better tomorrow (wishful thinking).

I saw the completed listings on eBay and see the one with part of Dumbledore on it  ;) Unless you bought it somewhere else.

Nope thats it :)
I didin't no you could look at completed listings :)
I also really the wand prop and i cant wait to see all the differnent colour variations of it :)

Yup, there is an option on the left column that allows you to search completed listings. Even if you pull that card in your box, the swatch may not be as nice. You got yourself a nice one :)

Thanks :D
I hope you get some nice pulls yourself :)
whats your favourite  card in this set? :)

Thanks!
Wow, my favorite card. That is a tough one. I love the Daily Prophets (always have liked them), love the one you got (P11, although if I pull one, it will be a blank swatch) and Luna's Dad's drawings as well as the Undesirable poster and the wands. This set has a ton of nice props and a few new costumes I wuld like as well, like Snape and Pettigrew. I love the picture of Luna on her costume and auto card as well. I guess what I am trying to say is that I can;t pick a favorite because I like too many of them!!!! ::)
How about you?

I asked Tom to make up a nice master set for me way in advance of the release date.
He picked some nice cards. Here is my favorite.

P6 Wands from Gregorovitch's shop. 062-140 Look at the wand pictured on the card all the way to the left.
The wand on the card has  purple handle with a silver ring around it. Looks sort of like the piece of the prop used on the card.

Just posted my pulls and am working on getting a picture of the prop I pulled.

Thing that sucks is that in 4 boxes, I managed to get two of the same costume. So, if anyone wants to trade a George Weasley costume for any of the other costumes (other than Draco or Bill Weasley), let me know.

I do really like the Bill Weasley swatch. It is almost rubber like. Anyone know where this came from on his costume?

Overall, my boxes were just okay. I would have rather got more props or autos over the filmcards and would have liked another costume. There are a ton from this set I need to buy now. LOL.

Clemence Poesy's auto has to be one of the worst in the history of Potter cards. She ought to be ashamed to pass this off as a signature. Artbox should have chucked it back at her.

In some ways, I'm quite pleased with her signature, but that's just me I suppose.  :) because, at least there's a more valid reason for me to buy that card, because she changes her signature everytime she signs.

Couldn't agree more with you on this one - truly dreadful!  >:()

Nope, just lazy.
She's signed before & those autos look nothing like what she'd done this time around.  ::) >:(

 yeah, the Oldman autos are dire and as for her not liking the cards she's given to sign - well, I'm sure she was paid enough to put pen to card so the 'liking' part of it isn't important!
What's worse is the amount people are having to pay to get her auto - ridiculous!  :o >:(

The top card is the P1 I pulled and the bottom card is a P9 I won as a second chance offer when the winning bidder reneged on the transaction.

Has anyone seen any photos of the Daily Prophets, such as screen shots from the movie?  I'd like to try to locate from where the P9 swatch was cut. :)

Why is some of the words blurred on the daily prophet prop card? :(

: Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 scans and comments thread
: kbmum January 06, 2011, 10:31:31 PM
This isn't the first time this has happened.  The cards are produced, and sometimes released, in advance of the movie's release date.  WB controls the content of the card sets and will not allow the release of certain plot information until after the movie comes out.  In this case, words were blurred because Warner Bros. was concerned about revealing plot info before the movie's release.  You'll also notice that the first base set released for each HP movie doesn't have a complete story line.  The update set is then released to fill in the blanks (and, of course, to make money for Artbox).

Really? Silly me. I thought it was because the Daily Prophet was a wizard paper and the text was changing so when the muggle camera took pictures of the moving text (to put on cards) it became blurry.

Especailly since the sets are usually so late that the movie has already been released.

Nice cards Cindy!

Did you all see the drawings from Lovegood's home that is ending soon? I can not believe how high it is in price :o I assume it is because people think it is part of the deathly hallows symbol, but I am not so sure. What does everyone else think?

Ha, ha. ;)

Yes, the sets are usually late (usually due to WB being slow to approve the cards).  However, the sets are planned in advance of the movie release and WB keeps tight control over all of the images.

I don't know if a forum member bought it or not, but I think that was a lot of money for that card. I would have to see the movie again to get a better look at his drawing to know for sure if it was from the actual symbol or not.

Looking at the picture on the card, the APEX of the triangle is the only place that it could come from (no curves seen).
The vertical line to the APEX (in the Swatch, APEX pointing down) goes beyond the APEX and is on the other side when compared to the Apex on the drawing on the card itself (enlarge the card to 400). To realise/realize this, turn the Swatch upside down. Also, the angle seems bigger (75 degrees on Swatch vs 60ish on the drawing). But then, I am known to be wrong
Swatch as it is:

I see what you are saying, but it could be it. It is too hard to tell with that card image. It does look like in the real drawing that one side has more space than the other, just like in the swatch, but I can't really tell if the line extends past the triangle or not, like it does in the swatch. Interesting. Thanks for the great pictures though!

Here is another one that could be part of the main drawing. The outer line could be part of the invisibility cloak with the inner line being the resurrection stone. The pencil is the same thickness as the last one.

Surely there would be several takes of this scene so there could be any number of this drawing.  The one that sold for big money looks too feint to be the one seen in the movie.

: Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 scans and comments thread
: portlaw January 08, 2011, 03:09:43 AM
It definitly looks like part of the drawing and i agree with bagshott that there was multiple takes :)

Been meaning to post my Daily Prophet prop I pulled. Here it is (upside down because the swatch is inserted that way). I really am happy with this swatch. Made up for the duplicate costumes of George Weasley I pulled.

Ok well i had bought 2 boxes and from 2 different sellers :)
my first box had rons jumper #360 and gregorovitch redemption.
My second was my 5000/5000 box and well i dont think this is supposed to happen but i got a dud box, the box was in the shrinkwrap from artbox and was not tampered with atall but had no hits, is there anything i can do like complain to artbox or am i just going to have to put up with being unlucky?  :'(

: Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 scans and comments thread

That sucks! You should write Artbox about it, but I don't think they will do anything about it because they do not guarantee a certain number of inserts within any box. Sucks.

I don't know if they're going to send you any inserts, but it's promising that they're asking for the info.  When you write back, you should include a couple of photos of the box with the print run visible.

Will Artbox still be honorning the redemptions from this set, now that the 12/1/11 date has expired?

: Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 scans and comments thread

Historically, Artbox has honored redemptions past the expiration date as long as the card was in stock.  You should contact Artbox prior to mailing the redemption, but currently, no one there is answering the phone or replying to email.
