: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : Fizzingwizbee63 September 29, 2010, 03:17:48 AM There are only 51 more days until the movie release of Deathly Hallows Part 1.
Has anyone heard anything about the release of the 1st trading card set? : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 September 29, 2010, 06:09:03 PM Nothing. But I am sure there will be one. At least, I hope.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : kbmum September 29, 2010, 06:36:01 PM I haven't heard anything, either. NSU doesn't have the release on its calendar, which means that Artbox hasn't notified them. The company does have the license through the end of the HP movies, so it would be shocking if there weren't any more sets.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw September 29, 2010, 09:12:11 PM There has to be another set at least one like they cant just leave out the last film it has to be against the law :-\
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : erevine September 30, 2010, 06:03:11 AM Don't worry, these are Artbox money makers. There will probably be deathly hallows part 1 set and part 1 update set, deathly hallows part 2 set and part 2 update set, heroes and villians set 2, memorable moments set 3 and a few more that will be added.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : kbmum October 07, 2010, 01:09:43 AM There will be a set. I called Artbox a little while ago and spoke to someone (not Kay) who said he's working on the set right now. They expect it to be released around the end of November.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw October 10, 2010, 04:00:39 PM Is there any info on what the costume/prop/autos will be?
I really cant wait for this set ;D : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 October 17, 2010, 12:46:52 PM Good luck with that. Artbox has been doing better with letting us know what cards are in a set before a release, but it is usually VERY close to the release itself. And in the past, there were plenty of times we only know a handful of cards and had to wait for the set to find out the rest.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 October 18, 2010, 03:16:23 AM I actually agree. But, at the same time, I get more exciting knowing if there is a card in there I really want. Gives it more of the suspense factor for me of whether or not it is actually in there.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : Fizzingwizbee63 October 18, 2010, 07:18:36 AM I just came across these DH Promo Cards on :ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390236417752&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 October 18, 2010, 10:23:19 AM They are from San Diego Comic Con, yet, this is the first time I think I have seen them....
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : Scifi Cards October 20, 2010, 10:40:37 AM There will be a set. I called Artbox a little while ago and spoke to someone (not Kay) who said he's working on the set right now. They expect it to be released around the end of November. This is getting just plain silly... Saw a trailer on TV today and realized it is exactly a month until the movie arrives in US theaters. Artbox has not given dealers even a smidgen of information about the set. We can all assume what the price will be from previous sets, but give us some idea of when and what we can expect. The fact that these are the lifeblood of Artbox's product line and that they almost always sell out has seemed to make Artbox complacent. From a dealer's standpoint, I haven't budgeted for a set that I've not been told about. And might skip this one entirely. Ed : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 October 20, 2010, 07:46:56 PM I agree Ed. I think Artbox can make us collectors waitto get a lot of the info, but dealers who they distribute to absolutely should have received more information by now.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 October 21, 2010, 01:56:01 AM I asked him at the last card show. All he knew was that there was going to be a set, released hopefully around the same time as the movie. But nothing else.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : kbmum October 23, 2010, 09:55:18 AM I just received some info in my inbox tonight. :) I'll update the auto list tomorrow with the names of the characters. I have no idea who Rhys Ifans is. There is no word yet about insert ratios or whether the set will have filmcards.
There are some nice surprises in the costume list. :) Ship date: November 15 Autograph Cards: (more than 10) Rupert Grint Clemence Poesy Helen McCrory Rhys Ifans Bonnie Wright Rade Serbedzja Nick Moran David O’Hara Simon McBurney Andy Linden Costume Cards: (more than 10) Daniel Radcliffe Emma Watson Rupert Grint Evanna Lynch Alan Rickman/Snape Tom Felton Mark Williams/Mr. Weasley Prop Cards: (more than 10) Daniel Radcliffe Evanna Lynch Daily Prophets Props from Lovegood House Props from Gringotts Bank Props from Gregorovitch Shop Wands : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw October 24, 2010, 05:10:13 PM kreacher and dobby are both in the film i think
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 October 24, 2010, 05:50:45 PM Everyone is going to want that Snape costume. How much you want to bet that it is "material used to create"?
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw October 24, 2010, 07:06:17 PM i was thinking the exact same thing.
i will definitly want the snape costume but really only if its worn costume i hate getting the material used to create cards :( : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 October 24, 2010, 07:48:02 PM I agree. I hate them too, but this may be the only way to get a Snape costume card, so I will take it either way....
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw October 24, 2010, 08:19:19 PM True no matter what one it is as long as its snape every harry potter collector will want this :)
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : kbmum October 24, 2010, 10:53:26 PM Rhys Ifans as Xenophilius Lovegood Rade Serbedzja as Gregorovitch (Wand Maker) Nick Moran as Snatcher Scabior David OHara as Albert Runcorn Simon McBurney as Kreacher -------------------I see Dobby in the pix. I wonder if this is a misprint. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0926084/mediaindex Andy Linden as Mundungus Fletcher Thanks! I don't think the Kreacher auto is a misprint. Both characters appear in DH1. : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw October 27, 2010, 06:15:14 PM just saw this on ebay :)
http://cgi.ebay.com/Harry-Potter-Deathly-Hallows-pt-1-FACTORY-SEALED-BOX-/350407894954?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5195f027aa : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 November 03, 2010, 10:03:42 PM Yeah, that auction is a pre-sale. She does note the item release date is November 24th, That is fine, as I think eBay allows you to pre-sell items that are due to release within 30 days. That is, if Artbox gets it out on time. LOL
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : LikORish-Spider November 06, 2010, 08:23:05 AM Tom sent an update. I added the autograph signers roles, so if it's incorrect, blame me.

The costume cards are mock-ups that don't show the actual swatch that will be inserted. It's interesting that one of the mock-ups shows a Mad-Eye costume, which is not on the checklist.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/Deathly%20Hallows/dh1pics1.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/Deathly%20Hallows/dh1pics2.jpg) The C2 costume is a Bill Weasley costume. The actor, Domhnall Gleeson, doesn't have an auto, which might not be surprising since he's Brendan Gleeson's son. Personally, I'm disappointed that the Arthur Weasley costume is a 5-case incentive. : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 November 06, 2010, 11:56:42 PM Maybe they got the name wrong, Maybe the Domhnall Gleeson should really be Brendan Gleeson's costume. Or, maybe that was the only picture they could use. LOL. :P
My concern is that the swatches shaped as stars make it appear as if the swatches will be really small. : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : kbmum November 07, 2010, 07:37:40 AM A star die-cut would show less material, but the size of the cut swatch might be the same as with previous sets.
Artbox said that the props are "pending approval." What if some of them aren't approved? The insert ratios could be affected. : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 November 07, 2010, 08:13:14 AM A star die-cut would show less material, but the size of the cut swatch might be the same as with previous sets. Exactly. Ryan and I were looking at the cards and agree that the size of the swatch material would be the same as we previously are used to. The star itself is just allowing us to see less of it than normal. If you open the star up so that it becomes a circle, you would get the same size we are used to. I am also nervous about the props. Personally, they are my favorite pieces to collect. : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw November 08, 2010, 08:23:01 PM I really hope the prop cards are in this too as they are my favourites aswel :)
i also like thec look of the auto cards but the star shape for the costumes is not my favoutie, i really liked the half blood prince costume card designs :) : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 November 10, 2010, 08:46:44 PM Rather than stars, a swatch in the shape of Harry's lightning bolt scar would have been neat. Wonder why they never thought of that?
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : erevine November 10, 2010, 10:59:37 PM The only problem I see with the star shape is if the card is a Variant. It could affect the display on the card.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw November 11, 2010, 01:49:37 AM I dont think there will be as many variants as in other sets so i dont think artbox even considered that as a problem
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : kbmum November 11, 2010, 09:00:52 PM I dont think there will be as many variants as in other sets so i dont think artbox even considered that as a problem There's no way to know that until we see the set. The costumes could have some variants and the props most likely will. Rita Skeeter's book, undesirable poster, and the Daily Prophet are all good candidates. The props from different houses/buildings could have variants as well, but it's hard to guess when the info about those cards is so vague. : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : adamxxx November 22, 2010, 08:31:42 AM The costumes have a great list and the props look to have pretty big windows cut out for good sized prop pieces. Always excited to open a bunch of cases.

: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : adamxxx December 02, 2010, 10:06:34 PM New release date is Dec. 10th I have been informed.
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw December 03, 2010, 04:04:24 AM Is that the date the sellers will be getting them shipped to them or the date that the sellers will ship them out to the customers? ???
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : Fizzingwizbee63 December 03, 2010, 06:02:01 AM I was wondering about Ci4 (25 case incentive) card, coins from Gringotts.
I don't remember any scenes of Gringotts in the Deathly Hallows Part 1. (please correct me if I missed something) ??? Also, I would be surprised if those of us waiting for boxes see them much before Christmas. I think there were two other sets in recent memory that were scheduled for November, which ended up coming very close to the 24th of December. : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : LikORish-Spider December 03, 2010, 07:10:48 AM New release date is Dec. 10th I have been informed. Got this from Tom today: Ships tomorrow I have been told-they flew it in so should be there today or yesterday as she didn’t tell me tom. : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw December 03, 2010, 07:35:23 PM Ok this is the first time ive been here for a release so they are definitly being released on the 10th or os that just another estimated guess by artbox? :-\
: Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : rns91294 December 03, 2010, 09:26:29 PM Whether they are shipping tomorrow or on the 10th, if the release date is the 10th....even if you get them sooner....you can not post anything on eBay until the release date of the 10th. Lets all remember that there is always someone who lists them early and Artbox ends up going to the distributors with the information which could get them in trouble causing delays in future releases.
I can't wait to get this set. I was wondering about Ci4 (25 case incentive) card, coins from Gringotts. I don't remember any scenes of Gringotts in the Deathly Hallows Part 1. (please correct me if I missed something) ??? Now that you mention this, I think you might be right. I don't recall this scene either. Maybe it is from Part 2? : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : portlaw December 04, 2010, 12:27:03 AM I cant wait fir this set either ;D

Maybe it will just say used in the film Deathly Hallows, not specific to PT1 or 2. : Re: Deathy Hallows Trading Card Set : LikORish-Spider December 08, 2010, 01:47:54 AM News on DH1 shipping.
