anyone feeling frisky??!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6116979972&fromMakeTrack=true : Re:Peartree number 21 on ebay... : Roz September 03, 2004, 09:00:44 PM Argh! Who really thinks this is "sort" after!
SOUGHT!!!! :) Cool - I think it's too soon after the other auction myself... these things are getting common ;) : Re:Peartree number 21 on ebay... : ferdinand_the_yak September 03, 2004, 09:17:20 PM The low FB may be an issue deciding the final price here. The only active FB item he has isn't very reassuring...
Aha - another grammar nut like myself! I was working last week in a function and there was a sign on the door warning people to be 'Quite please, function in progress' - aaargh! I flinched everytime I saw it! : Re:Peartree number 21 on ebay... : Roz September 03, 2004, 09:40:05 PM lol "quite"
it's even worse that it only makes sense if they are Mathematicians ;D : Re:Peartree number 21 on ebay... : cjdmadcow September 03, 2004, 09:50:21 PM CJD here, reporting in from the Costa del Hertfordshire.
This one tweaks my 6th sense for some reason. Not a straight out "wouldn't-touch-with-a-barge-pole" kind of way, but something worries me and I can't really say why. The payment terms worry me in so much as how can anyone from overseas pay if the only method of payment accepted is a personal cheque ? Also, not much protection against any wrong-doing if you pay by cheque. I suppose we all get nervous when there's this sort of money involved. CJD : Re:Peartree number 21 on ebay... : Roz September 03, 2004, 10:24:46 PM Gosh, is it sunny there in Spayne? ;D 8)
I do know what you mean but I think the number of the card does tie in with those bought from Cards Inc.... ... what we could really do with is the number of a number 21 peartree coming along ;) WOULD THE OWNER OF A PEARTREE CARD REGISTRATION 21/30 PLEASE VISIT THE CUSTOMER SERVICES DESK ;D Seriously we don't really have any reason to doubt them, except the high value of the auction, the inexperience/unproven track record of the seller or the worrying auction payment terms though. You never know - he might be genuine ;) it's not *quite* so dicy as that unnumbered card :P : Re:Peartree number 21 on ebay... : gimli September 03, 2004, 10:55:32 PM maybe it is the unumbered card with a 21 put on with a silver sharpie ;D or do i see conspiracy everywhere ;)
: Re:Peartree number 21 on ebay... : Roz September 06, 2004, 01:40:39 PM I have just heard that this guy is a ye olde fashioned off ebay dealer most of the time (I didn't really know it was possible!!!), and I have heard the source of his card, so it should be A OK to go ahead and bid.
You know that if you don't I will :P :D |
