: Variant GOFU quad card : kbmum February 28, 2009, 02:55:18 AM Here's a quad card that has the costume pieces, but no signatures! I wonder how Artbox missed that one?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=380105816856 What I've noticed is that this seller has had a lot of HP cards, including many Sorcerer's Stone prop cards. Those cards were hard to pull, so it's surprising that one seller would have so many of them. Also, the store's location is about 22 miles from Artbox's office. : Re: Variant GOFU quad card : tialessa February 28, 2009, 04:29:37 AM WOW! I wouldn't buy it without the sigs though (not that I could afford that card in the first place)...
: Re: Variant GOFU quad card : blackcat20 February 28, 2009, 12:17:05 PM The auction seems to have been removed...
: Re: Variant GOFU quad card : Roz February 28, 2009, 05:37:37 PM Yes, that's all very intriguing.
Perhaps even more so now that the listing has been pulled from eBay (not just ended early but PULLED!). It was on about $60 when I looked. I pondered over it thinking that it would be a cool thing to have, but it's the sort of thing that is hardly unique. This could have been the first of an outpouring of hundreds of unsigned ones so I didn't want to risk spending hard earned cash on something that I might pick up for nothing later on... if that makes sense. For those who missed it - (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b32/TYScards/GoF/blankquadfront.jpg) I do like the quad cards though, I think it was a nice idea (it's a shame that champions signatures are a bit scrawley though! And a LOT of Quad cards you see around have smudged signatures too!) To be awkward though personally, I'd just call it blank or unsigned rather than 'variant' myself ... ;) One to watch Cindy. Anyone else dealt with the seller? They seem to ring a bell, are they a chain of 'bring your stuff to me and I'll sell it' professional eBay sellers? : Re: Variant/unsigned GOFU quad card : kbmum February 28, 2009, 09:17:15 PM I'm glad you saved the picture, Roz! Calling it unsigned instead of variant is better. :) The store iSold It is a chain. I've seen them in different towns. People bring their merchandise to the store, the store decides if the item will sell before taking the consignment, then does all of the work to list and ship it. I believe there's no charge to the item owner if the item doesn't sell, but the store's fee for a sold item is around 50 percent. I'll do the legwork myself, thank you very much! Of course, there are a lot of people who don't know how or don't want to sell on eBay, so this is an option for them.
Here's a link to the seller's store. Right now, it has two Sorcerer's Stone prop cards. http://stores.ebay.com/isoldit-ca0179 : Re: Variant GOFU quad card : ukpatriotsfan May 03, 2009, 10:01:17 AM wow!
