: Beedle the Bard : Bogleg December 05, 2008, 08:02:35 PM I'm really surprised at the lack of discussion on this board on the new book. Has Joanne burnt her bridges with the Lexicon and Dumbledore debarcles? Sharon, of course, will NOT be getting this for Christmas ;D It will not have already been wrapped ;D ;D She's not looking forward to it anyway  The most open secret prezzie she will ever NOT get ::)
: Re: Beedle the Bard : kbmum December 05, 2008, 10:41:21 PM Which edition will Sharon not be getting for Christmas, standard or collector's? I'll get the standard edition sometime after Christmas.
: Re: Beedle the Bard : Bogleg December 06, 2008, 01:24:44 AM Naughty, naughty. I wouldn't like to say which, if any, she is not going to get. It is obvious to me that your subtle questions and mind game innuendos means you are putting your Mr.Bean espionage training course to good use
: Re: Beedle the Bard : kbmum December 06, 2008, 08:07:58 PM I'm a wife and mom. Subtle questions and mind game innuendos are my specialty! ;D
: Re: Beedle the Bard : MuggleMum December 07, 2008, 05:23:41 PM I decided to treat myself to an early Christmas pressie this year as I have been really really good ;)
My collectrors edition arrived a couple of days ago and I am over the moon with it..it is beautiful! I won't be reading it of course , I have the standard edition for that. I'm so glad Jo decided to publish this for us fans ;D : Re: Beedle the Bard : rns91294 January 15, 2009, 05:49:13 AM So I got this book (regfular hardback version) but have not read it yet. The binding is so crisp and tight that I don't want to ruin it. Anyone enjoying it though?
: Re: Beedle the Bard : Roz January 15, 2009, 01:11:36 PM OOh, me, me. I really enjoyed it. I would suggest having a copy of 'Fantastic Beasts and where to find them' to hand as you read it though.
There's a couple of pretty dark stories in there I must say : Re: Beedle the Bard : rns91294 January 15, 2009, 11:58:14 PM Oh good! I do have a copy of that other book to keep in hand too. Thanks!
: Re: Beedle the Bard : allender January 17, 2009, 09:19:59 AM I found that the enjoyment went further if I only read one of the stories at a sitting. Not just because the text is brief, but also because I didn't go back and forth between Beedle's "voice" and Dumbledore's voice.
