: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum November 27, 2008, 02:12:39 AM Artbox is expected to release a new set called Harry Potter Memorable Moments II in January. There are no other details available yet.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Bitsy December 19, 2008, 03:34:36 AM I loved the prop inserts for the first MM. :D Thought the costumes could have been a little something more, as well as the autos--too many DE autos. I just hope the boxes will have a better insert ratio this time--especially considering the price of the last batch. If a higher price is demanded for a "special" set, then the inserts should warrant that price. Some people only had one insert per box or really common inserts and while that is always a risk, for a designated "special" set priced significantly higher than the regular sets...I just think that's unfair. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : LikORish-Spider December 19, 2008, 04:01:17 AM It better be a little spectacular at any price, what with the economy so in the dumper.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Bogleg December 19, 2008, 05:07:45 PM I wouldn't mind betting that we won't see this set until March/April, and once again, too close to the July release of HBP >:(
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum December 19, 2008, 08:01:10 PM Considering there's still no word about the set or release date and no info has appeared in trade publications that go to comic book and trading card stores, I think Boggie's right about a spring release.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Bogleg December 21, 2008, 06:38:46 AM The website has been updated to say we definitely won't find out anything about Artbox until sometime next year ::) How sad that this is the quickest update on the site for years to tell us they can't tell us anything
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum December 21, 2008, 09:25:54 PM Here's the message from the website:
~ Thank you for visiting. ~ Our web-site is under maintenance. The revision process has been taking longer than expected, but rest assure, we will have our web-site up and running in early 2009. We apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime. Please feel free to contact us for any inquiries at sales@artboxent.com. Best Wishes for the Holidays to all our Valued Customers! : Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 04, 2009, 12:20:17 AM We have some info about the set, hot off the presses!
This will be a 72-card set with images from the first five movies. It will include props, costumes, autos, and a nine-card chase set. So far, Artbox has announced autos for Robbie Jarvis as Young James Potter, Richard Leaf as Auror Dawlish, and Tolga Safer as Igor Karkaroff's aide. The release is scheduled for April 2009. Here's the sell sheet: (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/Memorable%20Moments/image001.jpg) : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Roz March 04, 2009, 03:37:33 AM Cool, looks like it will merge in with MM1 pretty well :)
I do like the parchmenty feel, but I'm not sure how good it looked on the base cards etc. and I still have reservations about an MM set before the movies have all been made *sign* Awesome though - thanks Cindy : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : terryweasley March 04, 2009, 10:37:34 AM I wish they'd let us know what the costume, autograph, and prop cards are going to be. They repeated a lot of cards for OOPU set and the World of Harry Potter 2 set. I don't see repeating cards over and over again.

Not out yet officially, but Verne Troyer who played Griphook the Goblin signed for the set! : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 06, 2009, 03:40:05 AM I have a hard time believing that Artbox doesn't know most of the autos, costumes, and props that will be in a set scheduled for release in a month.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Bogleg March 06, 2009, 06:16:22 AM The house of BOGLEG has yet to have it's boat floated with this release :-\ Full details will probably be on a card that needs to be redeemed ::)
One would assume (as One does) that the HBP set is already packed and ready to ship. Where's the info for this? : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : terryweasley March 06, 2009, 06:47:19 AM Let's face it. Artbox is in the business of selling cases, boxes, and packets of HP cards. They don't want to let the buying public know exactly what the cards are and what they look like for fear we won't buy their productl. It's a simple as that. They say a fool is born every minute.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Scifi Cards March 07, 2009, 09:30:37 AM True, Artbox is in the business of selling boxes and cases of cards.
I'm a dealer. One of those people who buy from Artbox and who Artbox relies upon to buy enough to sell a product out. With no more information than this, I won't have any customers taking the chance and ordering any MM2. I know I'd rather not have any than too much with no outlet for sales because the product is weak. This is the wrong time to expect people to blindly buy product. Ed : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Tower March 07, 2009, 05:53:38 PM This is the wrong time to expect people to blindly buy product. But maybe also the wrong time too to expect people to buy a product when they know, the product is not exciting. ;) So better taking a little chance and giving not enough information for finding out. ::) Well, who knows, they did almost everytime like this and mostly the product was fine at the end. But i don't understand them too, if i have a nice product, it would really be better giving more information. :-\ : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : terryweasley March 08, 2009, 07:26:24 AM I agree with you. I like the way Inkbox handled the Twilight Movie cards. They listed all the piecework cards that were going to be in the set and showed pictures of each of them. I got to see the cards and decide if I wanted them or not before they were released. I decided to peorder a set, and it was the smartest thing I ever did. I paid $400.00 including shipping with Digital Hero. Recently I saw he has a complete set of 12 cards for sale on :ebay:. His price on :ebay: was $950.00. I wish I could make that kind of profit on the stock market right now.

I know I'd rather not have any than too much with no outlet for sales because the product is weak. This is the wrong time to expect people to blindly buy product. Ed I just canceled my 3-4 case order for MM2 yesterday b/c of what everyone has been talking about (and my own bad experience w/ MM). Lack of product info and the fear that they're going to use the same old stuff (not to mention my apprehension about dud boxes and terrible insert collation). In these times, while I want to support HP/Artbox, I'm not going to shell out that kind of money for such uncertainty. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 10, 2009, 06:28:28 PM But maybe also the wrong time too to expect people to buy a product when they know, the product is not exciting. ;) So better taking a little chance and giving not enough information for finding out. ::) If Artbox wants to give out only a little info, then it should include one or two of the bigger cards in the set. That would be more exciting than releasing info about four autos from new signers who play minor characters. How about some details on costumes and props? Let's hear about insert ratios. This is the info needed in order for people to become interested in buying boxes and cases, especially in this economy. I believe that orders are due at the beginning of next week. If Artbox doesn't come close to selling out, then maybe they'll throw us a few bones by the end of the week. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : terryweasley March 13, 2009, 10:56:25 PM I got this email yesterday from Digital Hero:
Hello Harry Potter Fans! This is a one time email to everyone that has either ordered or inquired about Harry Potter trading cards from us sometime during this last year. I recently received news that Artbox will be releasing Memorable Moments Series 2 next month. Because of the short ordering window I wanted to drop you an email and give you a chance to place an order. If you want to purchase multiple boxes or a full case, I will need to get your order as soon as possible. Artbox is making this a very limited release and we will only be receiving a few cases. Orders will be filled on a first come, first served basis. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 14, 2009, 06:04:32 AM Does anyone know how many boxes are being produced,
::) or if the cases will have a special box like the resin box from the first MM set? : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 14, 2009, 06:39:09 AM We have no more info than we did a week ago, yet the order deadline is in approximately five days. ::)
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : mcgonagall March 14, 2009, 07:17:41 AM wow this set must really suck lol
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : erevine March 14, 2009, 10:49:28 PM Better to let the set be released and then decide after some feedback on this forum if it is worth purchasing or not. I realize that some dealers rely on preorders to have capital to purchase multiple cases for the chance to get specially number cases and multiple case incentive cards given to large purchasers. In this economy folks do not have funds to devote to an unknown product even if one is an avid collector.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : terryweasley March 15, 2009, 12:41:54 AM You took the words right out of my mouth. ;D
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 15, 2009, 12:56:49 AM Hey, maybe the Figg and Moody Autos are even on their way  >:()
I don't know about you guys , but I would have preferred to skip right to the Half Blood Prince set!! : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Roz March 15, 2009, 04:02:10 AM Tremendous case purchasing apathy could result in a tremendously rare set (which would make us all regret that apathy!!!), but who knows?
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 15, 2009, 04:47:55 AM I was thinking the same thing. There might not be as many cards on eBay as we usually see.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : stoney March 15, 2009, 10:28:22 PM Hey, maybe the Figg and Moody Autos are even on their way  >:() I don't know about you guys , but I would have preferred to skip right to the Half Blood Prince set!! I have been thinking for a few months about treating myself to a sealed case and i was debating about whether to get MM2 or wait for HBP. The way things are looking at the moment i think i will be skipping right to the HBP set. Maybe we will get some new info soon that will make me change my mind!. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 18, 2009, 02:06:36 AM So I caved, and put my order in for a case of MM2.
I had not yet begun collecting when the first set was released, so this will be my first MM case. Please wish me luck, I hope there is something worthy of the expense :o= : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 18, 2009, 05:46:44 AM The set is scheduled to ship on April 13. Whoever is interested in ordering should check with dealers/distributors now, as some of them are saying that orders are due. At least we have more info.

Does anyone remember seeing it?? : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : terryweasley March 18, 2009, 08:58:15 AM Do you think it could be a part of some of Dumbledore's devises from his office?
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 18, 2009, 05:29:08 PM That's a good guiess. It could also be from the Weasley house or Lockhart's office. It's been so long since I've seen COS that I really don't remember.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : stoney March 18, 2009, 07:35:28 PM Damn! :-\ I'm in two minds now about getting a case now that i have seen these new cards.
There are some really nice sounding cards in those lists. What to do!...what to do! :-\ : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : LikORish-Spider March 18, 2009, 10:05:15 PM From You-Know-Who:
Costumes 12----------8 per case Autographs 10--------5 per case Props 12---------------3 per case ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Less than two inserts per box. Dud boxes anyone? No word on how many cases. Anyone know? : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : stoney March 18, 2009, 10:25:56 PM The props and auto inserts are consistent with other cases by the looks of it but isn't 8 costumes per case a bit lower than usual?.
10 per case is the norm usually i think. Or is it 8 for this set because there are fewer costume cards in the set?. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : terryweasley March 18, 2009, 10:29:31 PM Tom says the cases should ship April 13.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 18, 2009, 10:31:41 PM Yes, Artbox has always inserted 10 costumes per case. Those odds mean that four boxes in every case will have only one insert. >:() I agree with John that it could also increase the possibility of dud boxes.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : sfmuggle March 19, 2009, 02:57:26 AM Thanks for posting the pics (almost makes me want to place an order). However, given the info posted and my own experiences with MM, I'm still going to pass on buying case(s) and look for cards on eBay. The possibility of one insert or dud boxes has me a little worried. Though fewer cases sold may mean fewer cards listed on eBay. dilemma for me but I guess my mind is made up (unless other info is posted to contrary about MM2).
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 19, 2009, 05:15:28 AM Does Artbox have any replacement policy for dud boxes, if a sealed case is purchased??
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Bogleg March 19, 2009, 06:24:10 AM Does Artbox have any replacement policy for dud boxes, if a sealed case is purchased?? Nope. Nada. No way. Not in a Gazillion years. This is Artbox, not Rittenhouse ::): Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 19, 2009, 07:48:03 AM Inkworks announced today that it is out of business. Artbox should take note.
I think it's a huge mistake to have only 16 inserts per case (not including the case topper and lower-level chase). The trend in the industry is to offer a minimum of two premium inserts per box. If they don't have enough total inserts to do that, then they should reduce the number of cases from 600 to 400 (MM1 had 375 cases). They might be able to eventually claim the set sold out, but whether the distributors (who are forced to buy a certain amount of product) can sell 6,000 boxes seems iffy at best. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 19, 2009, 08:15:39 AM Inkworks out of business????
I wonder what that means for the sequel set toTwilight , New Moon. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : ferdinand_the_yak March 19, 2009, 08:53:26 AM I was very very tempted to get a few boxes of this after the insert info you posted yesterday Cindy. Then after seeing the insert RATIO, I've changed my mind. What a joke! Artbox being greedy as usual. I'm surprised that they haven't gone the way of Inkworks, who I thought were a very good company.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 19, 2009, 09:01:12 AM Inkworks out of business???? I wonder what that means for the sequel set toTwilight , New Moon. It probably means another company will try to get the license and release sets for all of the remaining Twilight movies. I said a while back that I wouldn't buy MM2, but nearly caved and ordered a couple of boxes after seeing the partial checklist yesterday. Now, I just can't spend more than $50 for a box only to pull one common costume. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : ferdinand_the_yak March 19, 2009, 05:12:07 PM I agree Cindy - those odds are pitiful. Artbox marketed MM1 as a "premium" product, but this one just looks like a quick buck grabbing filler set. Some of the cards such as the dual autographs sound good, but I don't think I'll risk spending $80 AU for a $5 costume card thanks.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 19, 2009, 05:29:38 PM As I recall, MM1 had a "premium" price, too. I think I paid $150 for two boxes instead of approximately $110 for two boxes of a regular release. At least the price of MM2 is in line with a regular release, although there is less value for the money.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 19, 2009, 05:35:50 PM Does anyone know if the case count for this set is confirmed yet?
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : ferdinand_the_yak March 19, 2009, 05:44:06 PM As I recall, MM1 had a "premium" price, too. I think I paid $150 for two boxes instead of approximately $110 for two boxes of a regular release. At least the price of MM2 is in line with a regular release. My point exactly - this is a blatant cash grabbing exercise on Artbox's part. I can't see anything special about it at all. Poor insert ratios, almost no information released prior to the release of the set - does Artbox WANT this set to bomb? : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 19, 2009, 05:48:55 PM Let's not forget that people are spending less money on discretionary items due to the economy. I can't buy both this set and Tom's upcoming Dexter set, so it looks like my money will be spent on Dexter.
From what I've heard, MM2 will have 600 cases. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : ferdinand_the_yak March 19, 2009, 06:20:59 PM And people will be budgeting for HBP as well. I don't know about everyone else, but I have never been a fan of the "filler" sets. If I had to prioritise, I always go for the "official" sets. That's going to hit Artbox hard as well, I think.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : stoney March 19, 2009, 11:35:47 PM With a good chance of dud boxes it seems, i may give this set a miss after all.
I have had enough painful experiences in the past with the PoA update case i bought and then all the individual boxes. I know that the insert odds are not as bad as the PoA update set but it has taken me a while to save for a sealed case and i don't want my hard earned money to be wasted once again with more dud boxes in a case. If i buy a case of MM2 then i won't be able to buy a case of HBP as i can only really afford to get one and knowing my luck i will end up getting dud boxes and HBP will have the normal case insert ratio when the set comes along. It's a shame because the double costume and double prop cards sound fantastic. This is where Artbox are not stupid. If the insert ratio for a set is not great they put in some really unique cards to tempt people in to buying despite the chance of dud boxes. That's why idiots like me are still buying PoA update boxes in the slim hope of finding an elusive, rare and unique card despite all the dud boxes out there! ;D : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 20, 2009, 12:05:11 AM We don't know for sure that there will be dud boxes. They have cropped up in every set, but are usually fairly rare (other than POA and POAU). We're only guessing that if four boxes in a case have one insert, then it wouldn't take much for the insert to accidentally not be included in a box.
IMHO, a set with these odds is more risky for the box buyer than the case buyer. At least with a case, there should be 16 inserts at a cost of around $500+ for the case. Excluding the case topper, chase cards and base cards, that comes to $31.25 per insert. A box buyer could spend $210+ for four boxes and end up with only four inserts, at a cost of $52.50 per insert. Of course, if you take into account the cards I excluded, some of which you might be able to sell, the "price per insert" comes down. I'm not trying to say that that is what an insert should be worth. I'm just trying to provide a means of comparison. I personally don't feel comfortable spending $50+ for a box and pulling a common costume numbered to 700. If there were a guarantee of two inserts per box (other companies guarantee the number of inserts and some releases have had as many as four premium inserts per box), I might be more willing to take a chance. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : sfmuggle March 20, 2009, 03:01:23 AM I was surprised to hear last night about Inkworks. Granted that I've not been a fan of all their products but I was kind of caught off guard (had to read twice to make sure it was "Inkworks"). I wonder how Rittenhouse is doing?
I'm personally going to wait and save my $ for HBP. I do like the dual auto for MM2 and may just buy the ones I want. Inkworks out of business???? I wonder what that means for the sequel set toTwilight , New Moon. It probably means another company will try to get the license and release sets for all of the remaining Twilight movies. I said a while back that I wouldn't buy MM2, but nearly caved and ordered a couple of boxes after seeing the partial checklist yesterday. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : stoney March 20, 2009, 09:13:27 PM HEY FIZZINGWIZBEE63!..YOU HAVE THE POA UPDATE BUG TOO!
I didn't think that i would find anyone else who was a worse idiot than me for the PoA update set!!LOL! ;D I thought i was bad!!. You were at least lucky enough to find a Rupert Grint Auto card. From one sealed case and at least 8 or 9 seperate sealed boxes, the best card i have ever pulled (including all props, autos costumes and creature cards) was a Fizzing Whizzbees prop card! ??? I hope the autos are not redemption cards. They appear to look very nice but I've had it with redemptions (Gleeson & Kathryn Hunter of recent memory and my own mishap with the lost Radcliffe). I don't like redemption cards...never have! ;D. I just want a simple old fashioned auto card.Whenever i have bought boxes from a set that contains autograph redemption cards and i have been lucky enough to find an auto card, it has always been a redemption!. I might have to wait until after the HBP set is released to decide which case to buy. As i have said in a previous post, i can only buy one but i'm not sure if i should get MM2 or HBP. If i wait, i can see which is the best set and then look on ebay when the time comes to buy. I just don't want to rush into buying a case of MM2 and then regret it when HBP is released and wish i had waited. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 20, 2009, 10:43:48 PM HEY FIZZINGWIZBEE63!..YOU HAVE THE POA UPDATE BUG TOO! I just don't want to rush into buying a case of MM2 and then regret it when HBP is released and wish i had waited. Thanks for that Stoney ;D We idiots need to stick together!! I was a fan of the books, long before I knew Trading card sets exsisted. By the time I started collecting, Artbox was getting ready to release the set for OOTP. Because Prisoner was my favorite book and POAU were just about the only affordable boxes out there, they were they were my first purchases. I didn't know anything about case breakdowns or the history of the other sets, until I joined the Shack. It's been a great sorce of information, and everyone here has been very generous and kind in their responses. ;D : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : stoney March 21, 2009, 12:46:25 AM Maybe we should start our own club! ;D
My favourite film and book is Prisoner too which is why i have bought more PoA Update than any other HP set. I was lucky enough to buy a couple of POA boxes a while ago but they cost me a lot of money. Trust us to like the one Harry Potter book and film that has one set where the boxes and cases are impossible to buy anymore and an update set which has really bad insert ratios!. We definitely are idiots! ;D ;D : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 21, 2009, 01:19:06 AM This is where Artbox are not stupid. If the insert ratio for a set is not great they put in some really unique cards to tempt people in to buying despite the chance of dud boxes. If you look over the list we have so far, you'll see duplicates from other sets -- Buckbeak, sleeping bag, Yule Ball, and more. Sure, this set is the second Memorable Moments set, but we've also had two 3D sets. Essentially, all four sets are the same. We don't need a filler set in between each movie/update set. I would have rather seen these sets come out after the Deathly Hallows Part 2 movie is released. Once there are no more movies, and therefore no new items for cards, filler sets are a way to continue using the license and make die-hard collectors happy. I wish that Artbox had produced the second part of the literary art set. They're really nice cards, but they only go up to OOTP. JK released the last book in 2007, so it's past time for Artbox to finish the set. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : sfmuggle March 21, 2009, 03:52:22 AM HEY FIZZINGWIZBEE63!..YOU HAVE THE POA UPDATE BUG TOO! I feel the same about redemptions. I was much more patient when I first started collecting but the delays (and other mishaps) have since made me more cynical. I started collecting HP a bit late & have purchased a few POA boxes and 1 POAU case (the former being tougher to locate nowadays). I've done OK in the sense that none were true duds (although 1 or 2 had only one insert from recollection, like a film cell or something) but no major pulls. You may want to buy only the MM2 cards that you like on eBay and wait to see what HBP looks like (that's what I plan to do). : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 21, 2009, 05:39:43 AM Speaking of redemptions, how long have we been waiting for the Figg and Moody cards ???
It's been sooooooooooooooooo long, I can't remember. I did send Artbox an e-mail not too long ago and received the same lame answer that they would be sending out the cards as soon as they come in  I certainly hope the MM2 set is devoid of redemptions, as I have sacrificed some of my HBP money to buy a case. :o= : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : rns91294 March 22, 2009, 10:16:10 AM I have decided to hold off on the MM2 set for now and save my money for the HBP set for now. I am hoping there won't be any redemptions in HBP since the set was delayed for the movie release. I am so looking forward to that.

I probably shouldn't be speaking for everyone, but the general feeling is that we're tired of repeat cards and filler sets. Plus, the insert ratios for this set are the worst that we've seen for HP. For a regular movie set, there are 10 costumes, five autos, three props, and three filmcards per case. That works out to nine boxes with two inserts and one box with three inserts. It's a big step backward to go from that to six boxes with two inserts and four boxes with one insert. Where's the value in that?

I've decided, though, that for me it's better to wait and see what I can get via eBay. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : rns91294 March 24, 2009, 03:31:02 AM I agree. I never missed out on getting some boxes, but I am this time...for now. I can't risk getting just one insert per box when the card ends up selling for $10 on eBay. I would rather take that $50 or so and buy a nicer card I really want on eBay instead.
But, for someone new to this collecting, I can understand 100% why the set would be more interesting than it is for me. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 24, 2009, 05:04:16 AM I have decided to hold off on the MM2 set for now and save my money for the HBP set for now. MM1 was billed as a "premium" set with premium stock and the boxes were significantly more expensive (about $20 more per box, as I recall). There's been no mention of MM2 being a premium set and the box price is in line with a regular release. There's something really fun about the whole process, including watching what everyone pulls on the Shack. :) Here's wishing you much luck for your boxes! May you pull a big variant or auto! ;) :) :D ;D :)
Oh, and I am one who spent a bit too much on POA update boxes. :-\ I loved that film and, for whatever reason, every time I see a POAU box, I feel the temptation to buy it. My best box had three inserts-Dudley Auto, variant two-different cells filmcard, and a Radcliffe costume card. Nothing too rare, but it was a huge surprise to get three inserts nonetheless. My only other big pull was a Marauder's Map prop. Other than that, I pulled way too many generic quidditch robes. ::) lol : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 26, 2009, 05:23:21 AM More info on the cards in the set! Perhaps DA Member? Artbox is reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy reaching with these auto >:() I remember thinking the Grawp- Tony Maudsley auto was lame, why dosen't Artbox at least care enough about it's buyers to provide autos for actors with speaking parts? : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : kbmum March 27, 2009, 07:07:27 PM I'm not sure what it will say on the card. Artbox provided only the name of the actor. I found the name of the character at www.imdb.com.
I didn't mind the Grawp auto. The character has a decent part in OOTP, much like Firenze in SS and Aragog in COS. Kreacher has a smaller part than any of those, but I still think it's a good auto to have. The problem with a long-running series like HP is that the main cast of characters doesn't change much over the course of the series. So, Artbox is stuck with either many repeat autos or finding bit part actors to sign the cards. Either way, collectors will complain. :-\ Of course, if Artbox produced fewer filler sets, there would be less of a problem. It's unfortunate that they haven't been able to sign Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Alan Rickman (Snape), Julie Walters (Molly Weasley), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), and Toby Jones (Dobby). Coltrane won't sign for the James Bond sets, either, so that one will probably never come to pass. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 March 27, 2009, 07:43:39 PM I'm not sure what it will say on the card. Then again, it took until OOTPU for a Draco/Tom Felton auto. It's hard to know the reason. Maybe they don't like signing autographs or maybe they want more money than a card company can pay.

Think I read somewhere (probably here on the shack) that Robbie Coltrane won't sign b/c he doesn't believe in having people pay for his autograph (or something like that). In any case, it's a long shot that Coltrane will do it. I still have hope for Rickman. A Julie Walters (Molly Weasley) and Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley) dual auto would be awesome. There may still be hope for a Toby Jones (Dobby) auto, which would also be very cool. In any case, I have my eye on the MM2 Harry & Sirius dual auto and Draco/Lucius Malfoy double too ;) : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : rns91294 March 29, 2009, 11:12:48 PM I normally don't care much for the costumes, but I would really like a Harry/Oliver Wood costume. I have been itching to open boxes and there is nothing else out at this very moment that I want, so I figured...what the heck.

: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : Fizzingwizbee63 April 10, 2009, 03:43:01 AM Is there an official release date yet?
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : terryweasley April 10, 2009, 05:58:35 AM The Yule Ball Double Prop card isn't too bad. I still want to see it before I decide to buy. That 's bigger run that the three Yule Ball cards from the GOF set. I know I paid through the nose for the Poster and Program cards. I got a bargain for the curtain card, so that made it easier to take.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : sfmuggle April 10, 2009, 06:07:33 AM Is there an official release date yet? MM2 is scheduled to be shipped to distributors on the 16th of April. The release should be on or around the April 23rd. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 : terryweasley April 10, 2009, 11:08:57 AM Here is a list of autograph cards for MM 2 from Tom Breyer
Double Autographs Daniel Radcliffe and Gary Oldman (Ultra Rare) James Issac and Tom Felton (Ultra Rare) Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Clemence Posey (Ultra Rare) Pedja Bjelac and Stanislav Iamevsku (Rare) Plus Verne Truyer (Rare) Robbie Jarvis Richard Leaf (Rare) Tolga Safer Apple Brook Ryan Nelson : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Roz April 10, 2009, 06:28:05 PM You could call him and give the info over the phone. Just to let all overseas Yaks know, Tom doesn't accept foreign credit cards over the phone. Paypal or International Money Order is the only way to pay him. That's odd. Maybe you have to type your own PIN in when it's an international credit card? And short of telling him the PIN there may not be a way to do it? Have no idea why otherwise? I've always just used paypal, pretty easy, expensive for Tom though! : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Keltoi April 10, 2009, 07:51:31 PM my boss is going to order some but he isn't sure how many cases he'll have..
personally kind of wish they'd have new signers in the series as there's only so many times you can see a daniel radcliffe auto and get excited over it.. never thought I'd say that when I like the harry potter movies.. *LOL* : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : rns91294 April 10, 2009, 11:15:27 PM Wow, those props are rare. We actually have some numbered to 30 and 40!!!!! I hate how much more common the regular costumes are versus the doubles, as I know my two boxes will yield the more common costumes. However, I am glad to see the Harry/Oliver Wood costume is one of the higher numbered ones, as that is one I want to get. I just hope my boxes have either double autos, double costumes or props. Wishful thinking.
And how many boxes per case should have only one insert this time? : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 10, 2009, 11:35:26 PM personally kind of wish they'd have new signers in the series as there's only so many times you can see a daniel radcliffe auto and get excited over it.. never thought I'd say that when I like the harry potter movies.. *LOL* The problem with the HP series is that there are very few cast changes with each new movie. It's obvious that Artbox has had problems getting autos for Hagrid, Snape, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, and Dobby. Otherwise, we would have seen those cards in other sets. We haven't even seen costumes for Snape and the Weasley parents. A Snape costume would be the one time I wouldn't complain about getting another all-black swatch! With the supply of main character autos exhausted, Artbox did get new signers, six of them: Griphook, Young James Potter, Auror Dawlish, Karkaroff's Aide, Professor Grubbly-Plank, and Slightly Creepy Boy. IMHO, all but Slightly Creepy Boy are legitimate autos (although a case could be made that Young James Potter isn't a legitimate auto, either, as he had less screen time than Slightly Creepy Boy due to that sequence about Snape's memory being drastically cut from what had been filmed). The other thing is that for those of us who can't afford or haven't been lucky enough to pull a Harry auto, the inclusion of that auto in this set is exciting. It's one more chance people will have to pick up the most important auto in the set. When you combine it in a dual auto with Sirius, well, be still my heart. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/smilies/faintsmilie.gif) Sadly, it's yet another card that I will never own. And how many boxes per case should have only one insert this time? Four boxes in each 10-box case will have only one insert. Again, IMHO, this is one of those times when I think people would be better off buying an entire case than buying a couple of boxes. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : rns91294 April 10, 2009, 11:59:35 PM Four boxes in each 10-box case will have only one insert. Again, IMHO, this is one of those times when I think people would be better off buying an entire case than buying a couple of boxes. I agree. If only I could afford an entire case. I just can't right now. Besides, I would prefer to buy a case of one of the actual movie sets, like HBP. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 11, 2009, 12:10:35 AM Tom just sent out new print run numbers for the set. I'm going to update the numbers in a minute.
Edit: All numbers have been update. Basically, the print runs are higher for all of the costumes and props. For example, the compass prop is x/90 instead of x/30. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : rns91294 April 11, 2009, 12:19:56 AM Oh good, the ones I want went up, so I might be able to afford them now!!!
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 11, 2009, 12:38:59 AM I was just thinking the same thing! The dual Harry/Oliver costume is looking much more affordable now. :)
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : KFCKAREN April 13, 2009, 09:57:02 AM Hi all, Well release is here finally. Tom emailed me asking for my payment. I am so excited :)Hopefully I get some good pulls from my case :o=
Good luck to all in your pulls. Karen : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Fizzingwizbee63 April 13, 2009, 09:09:31 PM I sent Payment this morning as well.
Can't wait!! Best of luck to everyone ;D Oh, and I received my Kathryn Hunter Autos on Saturday (YES!!) I had forgotten that I pulled three, so I listed one on :ebay: if anyone is interested. From now on it's Moody Mondays, the day when my hope is to see the Mad Eye Moody Auto in the mail box :o= "Mr. Gleeson can you hear me"? Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend :) : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 13, 2009, 09:39:03 PM From now on it's Moody Mondays, the day when my hope is to see the Mad Eye Moody Auto in the mail box :o= It's nice that you have such a good sense of humor about it. :D For those of you who have purchased boxes and cases, please note that we've set up threads for box/case breakdowns and scans/comments in the MM2 board. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 14, 2009, 11:29:26 PM Has anyone been given a firm date for drop shipments?
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Fizzingwizbee63 April 15, 2009, 02:08:39 AM I had a message this morning that shipping would begin Wednesday. :)
Official release date not yet confirmed. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 17, 2009, 05:19:39 AM Does anyone know for sure whether cases were shipped on Wednesday? It seems strange to me that Artbox hasn't yet informed people of the release date at this stage of the game.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Bogleg April 17, 2009, 05:33:53 AM The only thing strange is that you expect info from Artbox ::)
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Fizzingwizbee63 April 17, 2009, 05:58:51 AM Does anyone know for sure whether cases were shipped on Wednesday? It seems strange to me that Artbox hasn't yet informed people of the release date at this stage of the game. I just e-mailed Tom, and his reply was yes :) : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 17, 2009, 06:12:31 AM The only thing strange is that you expect info from Artbox ::) Well, true, but Artbox is usually a stickler about release dates and when people can sell the cards they pull. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Fizzingwizbee63 April 17, 2009, 07:16:23 AM New info: Cases shipped today. Release date April 23.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : rns91294 April 17, 2009, 08:43:27 AM Good luck! Hope everyone pulls some nice stuff, and what they want!
Yes, the release date is officially April 23. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 20, 2009, 02:11:41 AM Five of the autos are redemptions:
Daniel Radcliffe and Gary Oldman James Issac and Tom Felton Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Clemence Posey Pedja Bjelac and Stanislav Iamevsku Apple Brook It also appears that there is no Aunt Petunia costume in the set. Instead, there's an Aunt Marge costume. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : rns91294 April 20, 2009, 05:05:59 AM I asked about that card and was told it is indeed Fiona Shaw mentioned on the back of the card, so either the picture on the card is an error, or the name on the back is an error. Leave it to Artbox :-\
Of course, it also sucks that the picture is I believe the same used in the PoAU set for Aunt Marge. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : ferdinand_the_yak April 20, 2009, 08:23:19 AM Here's the first card that I've seen on Ebay - a Dawlish autograph http://cgi.ebay.com/HARRY-POTTER-AUROR-DAWLISH-MEMORABLE-MOMENTS-AUTO_W0QQitemZ270377231504QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item270377231504&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A10|39%3A1|240%3A1318
I THINK it says "God Bless Ye" before the auto - pretty cool :) : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 20, 2009, 09:12:17 AM Wow, Jo, you were quick to find that! I've seen a scan of another Dawlish auto and the actor wrote the same thing on that card.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Fizzingwizbee63 April 20, 2009, 07:16:51 PM Nice auto, but what happened to the "no selling before release date" rule??
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 20, 2009, 07:24:59 PM Some sellers might not know about the release date, but others put the cards up for auction right away to get a jump on the competition.
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Fizzingwizbee63 April 20, 2009, 07:52:37 PM The only thing strange is that you expect info from Artbox ::) Well, true, but Artbox is usually a stickler about release dates and when people can sell the cards they pull. I think the distributors of the cards are pretty clear about this policy as well. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : HPfamily April 20, 2009, 08:25:36 PM Whooooooooooo Cindy!!!!!!!!
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUV your new avatar!! :D Actually, Luv the voice behind that character!! ;) ;D : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 20, 2009, 08:34:16 PM I did it with you in mind! :D My kids taped the show and have been watching it over and over and over...
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : HPfamily April 20, 2009, 08:40:45 PM heh.....
:-[ I bought the DVD in March... ;) : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : rns91294 April 20, 2009, 09:57:18 PM I would not buy a card on :ebay: until I knew what was in my own boxes. Unfortuanately, once I get them, I won't be opening them until the weekend for my birthday.....
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : sfmuggle April 21, 2009, 02:40:24 AM Five of the autos are redemptions: Daniel Radcliffe and Gary Oldman James Issac and Tom Felton Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Clemence Posey Pedja Bjelac and Stanislav Iamevsku Apple Brook It also appears that there is no Aunt Petunia costume in the set. Instead, there's an Aunt Marge costume. Ewww! more redemption auto cards. guess I'm not surprised. hey but that's better than sticker autos haha :) : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Fizzingwizbee63 April 21, 2009, 06:27:37 PM Has anyone received their case/cases yet??
Still waiting for mine, I hope to see them today :o= : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : bush360 April 22, 2009, 11:17:07 PM Howdy all, glad to be back got to say I am really looking forward to this set shame about the redemptions but i think this set will be an apt warm up for Half Blood Prince later this year. Also hopefully there will be more goodys available at comic con with cards from this set. My 2 cases have been sent today so fingers crossed i will have them for the weekend good old fedex.
Rich ;D : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : sfmuggle April 23, 2009, 01:07:16 AM Howdy all, glad to be back got to say I am really looking forward to this set shame about the redemptions but i think this set will be an apt warm up for Half Blood Prince later this year. Rich ;D I'm kinda hoping for the same thing at SDCC or on eBay. I'm only interested in a few cards from this set but I always manage to find "additional" cards to buy haha. hope you get some great pulls from your MM2 boxes. : Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 23, 2009, 02:49:03 AM And so it begins...

: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : Bagshott April 23, 2009, 11:34:45 AM Just seen Tom's Master set on :ebay: Fantastic set!! Hope my cases arrive quickly before I give in and I spend a fortune!! :o=
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : kbmum April 23, 2009, 05:42:24 PM If anyone has pulled a C9 Hermione/Cho double costume, could you please post the scan in the comments and scans thread? From what I've seen on eBay, it appears that the Hermione swatch in this card is the same as the swatch in the sleeping bag double prop. If that's true, Artbox has made another mistake with this set (including the C5 Aunt Petunia costume that has a picture of Aunt Marge on the front).
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : ECL April 24, 2009, 03:32:04 AM I actually like the design of the MM2 cards......I wish I could get a grab bag from comic con; those are always really great!! Really cool double prop selection!
: Re: Harry Potter Memorable Moments II : rns91294 April 24, 2009, 03:55:37 AM I just wish I could go to comic con :P
