: New round of fake eBay e-mail : kbmum November 14, 2008, 08:29:51 AM With the economy in the dumpster and the holidays around the corner, there are new fake eBay e-mails going around. The one I received today looks real, but states that I purchased an item and haven't paid for it yet. Some of them could appear to be invoices for items that actually were purchased, but they aren't sent by eBay or the seller.
Please be very careful with the e-mails you receive that claim to be from eBay or PayPal. They're phishing scams to gain access to those accounts. The best way to check the validity of the e-mail is to look on your My eBay page and read the messages there.
