Where do you hail from? I am guessing Australia from your post. I would love to make it there, but unfortunately cannot as I am in Sydney and very busy... otherwise, I would be there with no hesitation! Enjoy the forum, hope you have fun posting! :) FTY : Re:Lord of the Ring Convention Melbourne : rissathehost August 24, 2004, 12:54:01 PM I hail from Oz, i am actually from Sydney but am helping out Multiverse with the convention in melbounre. I think FSF is Sdyeny are having a LOTR event the day before . ;D
: Re:Lord of the Ring Convention Melbourne : ferdinand_the_yak August 24, 2004, 12:57:50 PM Oooh, is that the one in Lidcombe? We discussed in it in this thread
http://www.theyakshack.34sp.com/yabbse/index.php?board=10;action=display;threadid=506 I should be able to make it to that one, hope it does not clash with uni though 8) Are you a LOTR/HP or both collector/fan? : Re:Lord of the Ring Convention Melbourne : rissathehost August 24, 2004, 01:03:26 PM Huge fan of both, i went to San Diego Comic con as a geek fan girl.
: Re:Lord of the Ring Convention Melbourne : ferdinand_the_yak August 24, 2004, 01:08:09 PM Excellent - just what we like to hear! :) You'll find this forum's time is divided about half-half with these 2 topics though now that LOTR is finished, HP is now going to be more in focus especially with the new trading card set from Artbox coming out in November! Do you collect any LOTR or HP memorabilia by any chance? I started with LOTR Topps autograph cards (as well as other stuff I can get my hands on 8)) and now am slowly starting on the HP PoA Artbox set

Hey Rissa, and welcome to the forum :) But I am still going to have to be rude to you for a moment ;) you weren't one of those people who (at the New Line stall) when seeing clips of the ROTK Extended Edition screamed as Billy and Dom came on-screen were you? If I had a time turner I'd sell everything - all my cards and go just so I could scream at Aragorn and Gandalf... (yes I know I haven't a hope especially with Gandalf but then again I'm 24 he might be a tad old) - but I still think they are as scream worthy if not more scream worthy than those 2 Hobbit things ::) LOL - sorry Mark ;) : Re:Lord of the Ring Convention Melbourne : rissathehost August 24, 2004, 02:11:47 PM I am not much for the screaming, the only time i said soemthign was when i was getting squished and a smelly sweaty guy was leaning all over me . Ewwwwwwwww!
: Re:Lord of the Ring Convention Melbourne : Roz August 24, 2004, 02:15:32 PM My worst nightmare: sweaty guys at cons!
>:( Fortunately I am about 6 foot myself and Mark's 6 foot 4, so at least my nose is above their armpits ;) : Re:Lord of the Ring Convention Melbourne : ferdinand_the_yak August 24, 2004, 02:15:45 PM If I had a time turner I'd sell everything - all my cards and go just so I could scream at Aragorn and Gandalf... (yes I know I haven't a hope especially with Gandalf but then again I'm 24 he might be a tad old) - but I still think they are as scream worthy if not more scream worthy than those 2 Hobbit things ::) Thats not very nice, screaming at Viggo and Ian ;D I do agree though, while I love Billy and Dom... meh, screaming fangirls ;D Just imagine how much worse it would be if Orlando was there - burst eardrums, anyone? :P : Re:Lord of the Ring Convention Melbourne : ferdinand_the_yak August 24, 2004, 02:17:13 PM Fortunately I am about 6 foot myself and Mark's 6 foot 4, so at least my nose is above their armpits ;) That is, unless Mark was the sweaty guy in question ;D ;D ;D : Re:Lord of the Ring Convention Melbourne : Roz August 24, 2004, 02:40:48 PM Clearly!
