Usually you'll get 2 complete base sets. A box has five of the nine puzzle cards and one metal box-topper. Expect an autograph in 5 of 10 boxes, or a 50% chance you'll have one in your box. Expect a costume card in 3 of 10 boxes. Expect a prop card in 6 of 10 boxes. You're supposed to get either one or two auto/costume/prop cards in every box. "Dud" boxes aren't common, but they happen. If you get two in your box, they will be different types. : Re: world of harry potter 3d most commons inserts : terryweasley June 28, 2008, 08:51:07 AM I doubt you will get two complete sets of base cards. I got my complete set of prop cards today from Tom and four of the cards are super thick. I would imagine if you are lucky enough to get one of these cards it will be the only card in the package. By thick I mean they are thicker than the Remus Lupin's Wand Card which is the 10 case incentive card. The card in question are:
P1 Draco Malfoy's Latern (240) P3 Quidditch Beater Bat (180) P6 Bone Used to Resurrect Voldemort (120) P11 Drumstrung Staff (360) : Re: world of harry potter 3d most commons inserts : allender June 28, 2008, 09:45:24 AM I agree that this has usually been the result, like when the boxes were 24*8 for 90-card sets. But this time there is extra "padding" in the box. From my case, each box averaged 158 base cards. The Durmstrang Staff had two other cards in the same pack, and Buckbeak's Chain and Hedwig's Cage were actually a bit thicker. My Durmstrang box also had a C1 in it, same thickness, and it still provided 2 complete sets and 9 extras. Even with two fat cards filling out two entire packs, there shouldn't be any box that can't provide 2 sets and at least 5 extras, if they tried.
: Re: world of harry potter 3d most commons inserts : LikORish-Spider July 09, 2008, 06:50:47 PM The thickest cards that I found were P1, P2, P3, P4 and the P8 cards and they had one base card with them in the packs.
The P4 Quidditch Quaffle and Bludgers card comes in two different thicknesses. The Quaffle (red) is thinner than the Bludger (brown) card. The 25-case incentive, Ci4 Lupin's Wand, is about (more or less) twice as thick as the P1,2,3,8 cards and, of course, isn't in packs. The 2-case incentive, Ci1 Pixie Cage is about three times as thick (more or less) as the P1,2,3,8 cards, likewise not in packs. his card is the same thickness as Fluffy's Fur and the Devil's Snare. |
