I've been praying and hoping that somebody would put a Sorcerer's Stone sealed case up on ebay for ages!.
At that price i think i am going to have to keep my hands tight together for a while longer :(.
Apart from pre-sell ones for new sets, doesn't anyone sell sealed cases for reasonable prices anymore?.
I think i was quite lucky when i purchased a sealed COS case a while ago from a seller in the UK for around £250 but now nobody seems to have any to put up on ebay, and the ones that are there are too expensive.
I have searched ebay here in the UK and Worldwide and the only sealed cases i can find at the moment apart from the one in this thread and the pre-sell ones for the 3d second edition are a couple here in the UK from two different sellers and they are very expensive too.
They are a Goblet of Fire Update case BIN for £499.95 (around $986)and a Prisoner of Azkaban Update case BIN for £289.99 (around $572) .
The buy it now price for the GOFU case was £399.95 (around $798) a couple of months ago when the seller had 3 of them to sell but now he has only one left the price has skyrocketed up and the POAU case is very expensive considering the insert ratio for the cases for this set.
I did notice that a seller in the U.S had a COS sealed case up for auction a few days ago which sold for $424.99 (about £215) but because i had already bought a COS case i let this one go.
Just my luck!. The only decent auction going for a sealed case and it's for one case i've already had!.
I can't understand why more sellers don't auction more cases they can't sell or don't want to break into. Surely it would be better to get a half decent amount of money for a case by letting people bid than to get nothing for it by letting it sit for years with a very high BIN price which nobody is going to pay.
Oh well...on with the praying :o=. If anyone spots a good sealed case for auction please give nudge. I don't want to miss it because my eyes are shut. ;D

I have a case of POA I bought 3 years ago that I am keeping in case I feel sucidal.  :rofl: It's not POAU. I wonder how many cases still exist. I broke the seal on the POA case to make sure it WAS legit then sealed it back. As you know the cello on the original has a patern of 3 rows of tiny zig-zag holes it it. Resealed boxes are without holes. Imagine how  >:() >:() >:() >:() I would have been if I waited to open it and find it to be full of resealed boxes.Somtimes you are justified in opening the case, in case it's full of "bricks".

I am dead jealous and extremely pleased for you at the same time for having a POA case ;D.
If ever the time comes and you do feel like ending it all though, perhaps if you could post the case onto me instead i would be very grateful :rofl:
Are you or have you ever been tempted to open all ten boxes just for yourself?.
Cases must be incredibly rare by now i would imagine. There was a seller here in the UK about a year ago who had a case for sale using BIN for £1000 i think but stated that any buyers who didn't want all ten boxes but wanted to buy individual boxes then he would open the case and sell the boxes for £100 each which is what happened in the end i think.

I don't know how lucky he is.  It sounds like his supposedly sealed case and boxes aren't sealed at all. :-\

Yes, I suppose you could say that "technically" the case is not sealed. But I am dead sure that the boxes are
100% POA factory sealed because the cello has the correct pinhole patern. I bought a box that was sealed once. It was a dud. The cello was without pinholes. The seller copped out that the description didn't say "factory sealed", just sealed. Was I happy......guess. Never bought form her again. The English language is difficult for some people to fathom, I guess.

Ah, I misunderstood what you wrote. As long as the individual boxes have not been tampered with, you're all set. :)

There are sellers who search boxes, then reseal them with the correct number of packs in the box.  A while back, there was a seller who was notorious for this.  He claimed that he bought the boxes from a third party and assumed that since the boxes were sealed, all was well.  Maybe that could happen -- once.  But, he did this repeatedly, got caught, set up a new eBay ID, and started doing this all over again to unsuspecting buyers.  I don't think he's on eBay now.

I just assumed that sealed boxes meant just that.

Should all sealed boxes if they are indeed factory sealed and untampered with have the Artbox logo printed all over the Cellophane?.
Does this mean that the box is ok?.

If I recall correctly, the first couple sets did not have "Artbox" printed on the Cellophane. Maybe someone else could verify this?

I'm not certain, but I think Artbox didn't add the printed shrinkwrap until the SS set came out.  I'm pretty sure my POAU boxes weren't shrinkwrapped, but had a clear, round seal closing the front edge of the box.

If you're interested in buying boxes and the seller doesn't specifically state that they're factory sealed, it's best to directly ask the seller (and keep a copy of the email they send you).  Of course, it's truly best to deal with trusted sellers whom you know aren't playing games with the boxes.

I cant remember which set, but didnt the stickers on the front of the box change when they were peeled off? Possibly POAu?

I'm almost positive that PoAU had the round silver seal on their boxes, making it pretty obvious if they had been tampered with.

I've always bought my boxes/cases from trusted sellers... I started with Potomac with PoAU then switched to Tomunique who I can't recommend highly enough
