: The great Irish Cadbury Dairy Milk Mystery (whole milk? Not milk powder?) : Roz December 08, 2007, 02:01:24 AM Well... for a long time I've heard rumours that Irish Cadbury Dairy Milk is 'better' than English dairy milk... being a girl who doesn't like to let a mystery lie, I've taken it upon myself to get to the bottom of this mystery.
I've just got back from Ireland today. I've heard all sorts of stories - e.g. 1) the Irish Dairy Milk is made with full cream milk whereas English is semi skimmed and; 2) the Irish Dairy Milk is not made from milk powder but from milk itself... Does anyone know any more about this? I've got 250g of the stuff all sealed up and ready for a direct taste test, so London yaks are more than welcome to join ;) I've googled this question, but come up with nothing - does anyone else know more? *************** This is the end of today's public chocolate service broadcast***************** : Re: The great Irish Cadbury Dairy Milk Mystery (whole milk? : Re: The great Irish Cadbury Dairy Milk Mystery (whole milk? Not milk powder?) : Roz December 08, 2007, 04:31:28 AM Nope, don't have any English stuff in - I'm generally a 'no choc or Green and Blacks girl now - and I'm a lot slimmer ;) - but I'll get some for a side by side test ;) I do wonder if the ingredients list will be detailed enough though.
: Re: The great Irish Cadbury Dairy Milk Mystery (whole milk? Not milk powder?) : kbmum December 08, 2007, 04:39:07 AM To do a proper taste test, you need to have a bit of both in front of you so you can compare. :D
: Re: The great Irish Cadbury Dairy Milk Mystery (whole milk? Not milk powder?) : Roz December 08, 2007, 06:11:39 AM Oh, only if you insist ;)

: Re: The great Irish Cadbury Dairy Milk Mystery (whole milk? I assume it has to do with the milk used (both use Aussie sugar), and obviously the cows in NZ get a lot more lush green grass to eat then the Aussie cows do.
: Re: The great Irish Cadbury Dairy Milk Mystery (whole milk? Not milk powder?) : De Orc December 11, 2007, 11:02:52 PM This could prove to be of great scientific importance to the world >:D
