: Please show me your Daily Prophet cards

Hi Everyone,

It's my first post here and I'm hoping you can help me.

I have been working on a reproduction of some Daily Prophet newspaper props, especially the paper from the first film.
It's gone really well so far although it's been hard work.

I'm hoping that anybody here who has, or had, DP prop cards will show scans of their cards here.
As you can see I have worked out all of the text on the front and most of the text on the back.
I am stuck on the crossword clues on the back and the fine "squiggles" on the lower third of the front and over most of the back.

I'm hoping that your prop cards might help me finish this artwork. When it's complete I plan to make the papers available. They might look good displayed with your piece of the actual thing.

Oh and, in case you were interested, here's how far I am with completing the back.

WOW! That is fantastic! You have quite a talent!

I wish I could help, but my DP prop only has an "i" on it.

Kevin,

That is absolutely brilliant.  Congratulations.  I am sure you will get lots of feedback but you have to give it from a few days to a week I think.  I am only a lil yak too and from my posts that is what it feels like.

This replica is from the Philosophers Stone?  If wish to share I would be fascinated to hear how you even started to compile it.

I will check around and see what I can photo for ya   :)

I don't know where the swatch was cut from the paper, but here's mine. :)

LikORish  --  OMG!!!  have you cornered the market on these cards?  What a wonderful selection.

I'm gonna go in a corner now and drool quietly...  actually where is the smiley face that's droolin?

I turned on my computer this morning and thought I'd just check in this forum and see if anyone had posted in my thread.

Fortunately I was sitting down!

Wow, LikORish-Spider, thank you! I haven't looked at all of those in detail but you've already confirmed a suspicion about two of the clues to the crossword on the back page. Loads of useful "squiggle" reference as well. Thank you.

I want to complete at least the front page knowing that everything, down to the tiny curls, is correct. The top 60% fits that description. I know all the text is correct. These cards will certainly help.

You can see from the picture above that I have made a start on the back of the paper. The red question marks are where I haven't been able to work out the correct words. I'll post back soon and try to let you know where on the front and back each card has come from.
