: OOTP Update Cards : terryweasley September 26, 2007, 10:00:45 AM I don't know if this is the right forum to place this, but we haven't started an OOP Update forum. I wanted to pass this imformation on asap. I got another email from Tom Breyer today. He said the OOP update set will be released on December 14th. He does not have a price for a case yet. I sent him an email asking him if he has any imformation as to what the cards will be in this set. I will post any imformation he sends me when it becomes available. Yay!!! We finally have a definite date.
: Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum September 26, 2007, 05:08:53 PM Well, it's as definite as any Artbox release date can be. ::) Thanks for the info! We'll keep this thread here until we're ready to start up a section for OOTPU. :)
I've gone over an old list of inserts that was compiled from info released by Artbox and NSU Magazine. There are some inserts that were not included in OOTP that could possibly be included in OOTPU. Remus Lupin/David Thewlis auto Lucius Malfoy costume (material used to create) Harry's expulsion letter from the Ministry of Magic prop 12 different Death Eater masks -- some of these were used for OOTP and for SDCC exclusives : Re: OOP Update Cards : ferdinand_the_yak September 26, 2007, 05:45:58 PM I'll put money on it that this date will change, but its nice to get some notice from Artbox ;)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : HPfamily September 26, 2007, 08:46:45 PM YAY! A date!!
UUUG....more DE stuff!!!! :P :P : Re: OOP Update Cards : terryweasley September 29, 2007, 09:38:52 AM Here is the latest email I have received from Tom Breyer at tomunique:
Please note harry potter phoenix update is coming december 14th—been told a few surprises which I can not say 100% yet Cases will be $499 delivered usa $565 over seas Boxes $51 plus shipping Thanks will advise as soon as I have more info I will post updates on the Update set when they become available. : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum October 05, 2007, 05:20:08 AM What cards would everyone like to see in this set? Here's my wish list. :)
Autos Sirius Remus Tonks Arthur Molly Trelawney Snape Mrs. Figg Kreacher Voldemort Costumes Sirius Remus Tonks Arthur Molly Trelawney Snape Mrs. Figg (Notice a theme here? ;) ) Harry's outfit from the Ministry of Magic hearing Fred's shirt (that matches George's shirt from the OOTP set) Props Items from Grimmauld Place Arthur's Christmas hat Fred and George's brooms : Re: OOP Update Cards : grecopa October 05, 2007, 06:55:14 AM Costumes:
Sirius Tonks Arthur Molly Snape Mrs. Figg Huffelpuff robe or tie Flitwick Mr. and Mrs. Dursley (would settle for a dual) Kreature Mad Eye Props: Troll leg umbrella holder Black family tapestry Weasley skiving snack items Ministry Proclamations Arthur's Christmas hat (could double as a costume for me) I'm sure I'll think of more soon : Re: OOP Update Cards : HPfamily October 05, 2007, 07:54:54 AM OH YEAH!!! Kelly and Cindy hit it on the props!!! :o All of those!!!
I really really really want a Tonks auto!! : Re: OOP Update Cards : Bitsy October 05, 2007, 10:33:33 AM Oooh I love thinking up cards! :D
Ok, here we go (I think a lot will overlap with Cindy's and Kelly's lists--all of your choices are must haves). Autos: Tonks Sirius Bellatrix Voldemort Draco Malfoy Snape Molly Weasley Arthur Weasley Fred and George Trelawney Centaur Umbridge Hagrid (I know, wishful thinking :-[) Costumes: Tonks Sirius (any and all ;)) Lupin Harry, Hermione, Ron Trelawney Molly Arthur Props: Umbridge Proclamations Umbridge pink cat stationary Umbridge Notes to Professors Umbridge Quill (the one she makes Harry use) Ministry Harry Trial documents/question forms Ministry letter of expulsion to Harry Luna Lovegood Return List (of her belongings that people took) Christmas gifts, Arthur's hat, anything from the Holidays Black Family Tapestry Twins skivvying snack box and contents Some of the Daily Prophet clippings from inside the Room of Requirement Picture of Cedric from inside the Room of Requirement Defence Against the Dark Arts Text Book OWL Exam Chalk Board Harry's Detention Parchment List ("I must not tell lies") Ok, those are the ones I can think of now. :) : Re: OOP Update Cards : grecopa October 05, 2007, 05:49:13 PM Oh, also-
Costumes: A Bellatrix robe, not just a general Death Eathers robe Props: In addition to Umbridges qill, the paper Harry writes "I must not tell lies" in blood! Edit: I see now that Bitsy already said that one! ;D : Re: OOP Update Cards : terryweasley October 06, 2007, 03:07:38 AM I think you guys have covered about everything. I would like to see a Mad-eye Moody autograph and costume card, a dementors costume card (we've never had one of them), Umbridge and Fudge's robes from court, the suitcase Fred and George use for Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes, and the candy box they give to Filtch.
: Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum October 06, 2007, 03:24:33 AM Excellent additions! :D I wish Artbox would release some info, even if it's just a teaser about a few cards.
: Re: OOP Update Cards : terryweasley October 16, 2007, 10:35:35 PM I ran across this picture on ebay. The dealer is accepting pre-orders for OOP update boxes. I think it's what the OOP update boxes will look like.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v92/tspil/OOPUpdatebox.jpg) : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum October 16, 2007, 11:33:14 PM Warp 9 has that image, as well as this one:
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/OOTP/harryOOTPupdatepic.jpg) Maybe Artbox is finally getting ready to release some info about the set. :o= : Re: OOP Update Cards : stoney October 17, 2007, 12:55:49 AM I'm starting to drool already :P
Let's hope that Artbox don't leave us hanging too long for any info or my keyboard will be soaked! :D : Re: OOP Update Cards : potter October 17, 2007, 01:05:10 AM Potomac distrubtion are now accepting preoders this is what they say:
We have begun taking pre-orders for Artbox's next Harry Potter release - Order of the Phoenix Update. As always, the set will include foil chase cards, costume cards, autograph cards, and more. Order of the Phoenix Update is scheduled to arrive just before Christmas. December 21st release ::) $53 per box or $519 for a case : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum October 17, 2007, 04:57:54 AM Here are better images of the sell sheet and hobby box. :)
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/OOTP/HP5_Update20Hobby20Ad.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/OOTP/HP5_Updt_mock_box.jpg) : Re: OOP Update Cards : Bitsy October 17, 2007, 06:05:26 AM WOW! And featuring Voldemort! Wonder if that means something...a Voldemort auto perhaps? 8) :)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : Bryanjs14 October 17, 2007, 08:38:04 AM If they get Ralph Fienes to sign I will be on board...
you would think with him all over the packaging he WOULD be a signer but who knows with Artbox. : Re: OOP Update Cards : ferdinand_the_yak October 17, 2007, 02:43:27 PM I think I'll just buy the Fiennes autograph outright if he signs. With the big 3 having already signed for the first OoTP set, I don't think there would be much I would want from the update (huge, astounding surprises excepted of course *cough Malfoy/Snape/Bellatrix cough*
: Re: OOP Update Cards : mcgonagall October 17, 2007, 05:50:06 PM I WANT HAGRID AUTO gets on kneellssss pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
: Re: OOP Update Cards : stoney October 17, 2007, 07:36:08 PM I WANT HAGRID AUTO gets on kneellssss pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Couldn't agree more!. A Hagrid auto card is loooooooong overdue. WOW! And featuring Voldemort! Wonder if that means something...a Voldemort auto perhaps? How about a Voldemort's Wand prop card too! ;D : Re: OOP Update Cards : Bitsy October 18, 2007, 05:59:31 AM Hagrid would be absolutely wonderful!
I still have a feeling they are going to save Snape and Malfoy for Half-Blood Prince, if they can get them, though I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have them sign sooner. I'm hoping for Voldemort, Hagrid, Bellatix, Umbridge...and of course, Snape and Malfoy, unless they are waiting. Oh, and Molly and Arthur. There are so many. :D : Re: OOP Update Cards : allender October 18, 2007, 06:55:51 AM Props I'd like to see: Badges, either "Weasley Is Our King", or one of Ron's or Hermione's prefect badges. Maybe Luna's hat. ;D
(Perhaps the DVD will have deleted scenes, or one of the above might have been semi-hidden in the film as an easter egg for readers. Though I'm sure Warner Bros wouldn't let Artbox use them.) : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum October 18, 2007, 07:20:46 AM They might let Artbox use them. No one seems to know where the Ministry Munchies bags were seen. I specifically looked for them throughout the movie, but didn't spot them.
: Re: OOP Update Cards : sfmuggle October 24, 2007, 12:47:24 AM I'd love to also see a Hagrid and Severus Snape auto. A Voldemort & Bellatrix Lestrange auto would be very cool too. Probably too much to wish for but I'll wish for them anyway ;D
: Re: OOP Update Cards : grecopa October 24, 2007, 01:41:25 AM I'll put my bet in for a Helena Bonham Carter autograph in the OOTPU set. She's signed for Planet of the Apes and did she also sign for Charlie and the Choc. Factory? As for Voldemort, Hagrid and Snape, it would be major news with them, but I hope so for the autograph seekers on the Shack.
: Re: OOP Update Cards : Bitsy October 24, 2007, 08:55:59 AM I agree, Kelly. I'm really thinking Bellatrix is a go for the update set. It would be a perfect time for that signature as well. :)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : PepperD October 27, 2007, 04:00:25 PM terryweasley Hi,
I see people online are already taking pre-orders for the OOP Update Hobby Box. Have you heard yet when Tom Breyer will be? : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum October 27, 2007, 04:50:47 PM He's taking pre-orders now. :)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : PepperD October 27, 2007, 04:55:00 PM Thanks :D
: Re: OOP Update Cards : PepperD October 27, 2007, 05:06:54 PM I assumed this online place would be tomunique on eBay but I can't see anything about pre-orders.
Am I looking in the wrong place? : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum October 27, 2007, 06:23:41 PM You can email him at tbreyer@optonline.net. :)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : PepperD October 27, 2007, 06:28:46 PM :D Thank you! Merci! Danke! I thought I was going blind or that was just the dumbest question ever.
: Re: OOP Update Cards : gimli October 28, 2007, 01:29:31 AM as usual I have received no info yet from artbox I have emailed they but as of today I have had nothing and so I haven't been able to place an order at all. It does make me cross!!!
: Re: OOP Update Cards : richscards October 30, 2007, 10:52:10 AM They sure are being quiet about the contents of this set. I sure hope that doesn't meant there is nothing exciting to speak of...
: Re: OOP Update Cards : gimli October 31, 2007, 04:09:44 AM well I have received the info for placing an order so if anyone in the UK is interested in ordering drop me a line and I will sort out a price for Yak members
: Re: OOP Update Cards : Raj October 31, 2007, 06:20:01 AM well I have received the info for placing an order so if anyone in the UK is interested in ordering drop me a line and I will sort out a price for Yak members Chris, Does that info include content info? I'm interested in the set but really need to know what's in it before I'll order. : Re: OOP Update Cards : LikORish-Spider October 31, 2007, 11:40:02 AM I got an email from Artbox saying the Sales Sheet for OOTPU will be sent this week. Hope so.....
: Re: OOP Update Cards : gimli October 31, 2007, 01:53:21 PM No info yet on content of the product
: Re: OOP Update Cards : Hikarist November 02, 2007, 09:30:34 AM A supposed month to go, and still no details? Is this normal?
: Re: OOP Update Cards : rns91294 November 02, 2007, 09:39:15 AM Completely normal. There have been some HP sets where we barely had any information at all until the day members started to get their orders and post their breakdowns.
: Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum November 02, 2007, 07:26:21 PM I wouldn't say that it's normal, just that it's standard Artbox procedure. No distributor, dealer, or HP collector is happy about it. :P Other manufacturers have lists available in advance, keep their websites up-to-date, and even put on their sites pictures of the costumes before they're cut for cards.
At the very least, there should be a P1 promo available by now. ::) : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum November 03, 2007, 08:44:19 PM I got an email from Artbox saying the Sales Sheet for OOTPU will be sent this week. Hope so..... I guess that didn't happen. :-\ ::) : Re: OOP Update Cards : LikORish-Spider November 04, 2007, 03:06:35 AM I got an email from Artbox saying the Sales Sheet for OOTPU will be sent this week. Hope so..... I guess that didn't happen. :-\ ::) Probably mailed at 11:30 AM Saturday... ::) : Re: OOP Update Cards : gimli November 06, 2007, 05:24:59 PM I have just received my Promo's P1, P2 and the sell sheet
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v424/chrischidgey/Untitled-1.jpg) : Re: OOP Update Cards : Tower November 06, 2007, 06:00:41 PM Thanks, looks great. :)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum November 06, 2007, 07:22:33 PM It's about time they sent out the promos. ::) Now we need a list of inserts and some sample pictures. I just don't understand why they think the best way to do business is to not release info about the set. If they want it to sell out, then they should let us know about the goodies we could pull! >:()
: Re: OOP Update Cards : Scifi Cards November 09, 2007, 09:17:06 AM Problem is, they have no reason to give us the information.
The cards always sell out anyway, so they have no motivation to change the way things are done. I admit I've ordered some already, even though I have a policy against ordering blind. Can't go without either... Ed : Re: OOP Update Cards : PepperD November 09, 2007, 02:06:56 PM Thanks Gimli, something to make us start to salivate :)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : sfmuggle November 09, 2007, 02:43:12 PM Thanks Gimli.
: Re: OOP Update Cards : terryweasley November 16, 2007, 10:13:50 AM With a month to go til the issue date for OOPU, I finally broke down and ordered three cases from tomunique. I also asked him if he had any information he could pass on to us. He didn't have much, but what he told me is very interesting. According to Tom Dan Radcliffe is going to sign a second autograph card with another person. He promised to email more information when available. Ooh what fun we can have speculating who the second person going to be. I'm hoping for Voldemort. >:D
: Re: OOP Update Cards : sfmuggle November 16, 2007, 03:45:04 PM thanks for the info Terry. Wow!!! I just going :o= that it's true (which would be so awesome). The only mutli-auto cards that I'm aware of is the POAU triple, the GOFU quad, and the 3D Krum/Diggory. I guess the George & Fred auto too.
In any case, hopefully ArtBox will release some more info soon (as unlikely as that may be). : Re: OOP Update Cards : ferdinand_the_yak November 16, 2007, 05:15:16 PM There is also a Crabbe/Goyle and Vernon/Dudley dual from the 3D set as well :)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : sfmuggle November 17, 2007, 01:24:04 AM Knew I'd miss something :)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : Scifi Cards November 17, 2007, 02:04:04 AM I got this in an email yesterday...
(http://www.scificards.com/images/ootpuauto.jpg) No new information, just a picture. Ed : Re: OOP Update Cards : tialessa November 17, 2007, 02:11:50 AM *bounce* *bounce* *bounce*
If Alan Rickman signs, I'll be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy.... : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum November 17, 2007, 02:37:01 AM Yay, the auto isn't a redemption! :D
: Re: OOP Update Cards : Bitsy November 17, 2007, 03:13:21 AM Yesssssss! Bellatrix! Thrilled! Wonder who Dan might be signing with...Voldemort could be a possibility, considering their dynamic relationship in this film, as well as the fact that Voldemort possesses Harry's mind...it might make sense for a dual auto here.
: Re: OOP Update Cards : Scifi Cards November 17, 2007, 10:02:07 AM How about more information that arrived this afternoon...
Autographs Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange Natalia Tena as Nymphadora Tonks DeathEater Puzzle Autograph Cards ……and more to be announced Costume Cards Daniel Radcliffe - Harry Potter Shirt Emma Watson’s - Hermione Granger’s Sweater Ron Weasley’s - Shirt Voldemort and Dumbledore Double Costume ……and more to be announced Prop Cards Curtains and Doily from Umbridge’s Office Dark Arts Book Pages Cauldron, Test Tube, and stands …..and more to be announced Case Incentives (Trading Cards) 2 case – Grimmauld Place Fabric Prop 5 case – Dark Arts Book Covers Prop 10 case – Prisoner Costume 25 case – Dumbledore and Umbridge Double Costume Card That's more than we had yesterday, and enough to makes some plans on... Ed : Re: OOP Update Cards : loopy looney November 17, 2007, 12:00:11 PM I was just reading the comments and saw that there was going to be a new Daniel Redcliffe auto whth someone else, and i was thinking maybe it would be him and Cho. Since they had a fling in the movie...but then again we already have a Cho auto!
: Re: OOP Update Cards : ferdinand_the_yak November 17, 2007, 06:38:16 PM We've had 5 HArry autos, so a Cho-Harry dual is very possible! ;)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : hockeyron November 17, 2007, 10:26:30 PM Actually I just got some info about 30 minutes ago from Artbox and it says this :::
~~ DANIEL RADCLIFFE and KATIE LEUNG signs a DOUBLE AUTOGRAPH!! ~~ the rest is what already was posted --- a Carter auto will be a great addition and the Dumbledore/Voldemort Dual costume looks interesting as well !! ron : Re: OOP Update Cards : terryweasley November 18, 2007, 03:28:09 AM Tom Breyer emailed me a copy of the press release from Artbox. It's dated November 16. I wonder how long it's been available.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v92/tspil/OOPU%20Cards/OOPUPressRelease.jpg) I'm sorry about some of the cards being hard to see. They were that way in the orignal copy of the release. The card under Bellatrix's autograph card shows of picture of Azkaban Prison. It may be the prison uniform card. Tom said to look for something special with the binder. He also promised more information next week. Keep your fingers crossed. : Re: OOP Update Cards : Hikarist November 18, 2007, 09:58:36 PM Hmm... I have a question -
With the update packs, don't they usually include the autographs that were in the original release as well, but as actual cards, not redemptions? I've ordered one case from Tom... my wallet is shrinking away from me (or rather, my savings account), but how many cases would everyone else suggest getting? : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum November 18, 2007, 10:40:38 PM Artbox has never taken leftover autos from the first release for a movie and inserted them into update packs. They do use the leftover inserts (autos, costumes, props, filmcards, and case loaders) for SDCC mystery boxes/bags.
Since we might get more info next week, you might want to wait until then to decide whether to increase your order. : Re: OOP Update Cards : Sharon November 19, 2007, 01:31:41 AM I love the idea of a HBC auto but I am disappointed with the props that have been announced. More doilies and curtains :(. I know this is a pattern with now with the HP sets but I do wish they wouldn't keep repeating props - as you may have guessed props are my favourite cards ;D
: Re: OOP Update Cards : LikORish-Spider November 19, 2007, 02:15:52 AM And the coustumes are getting old, too. I mean shirts, trousers, robes, cloaks....
What ever happened to Dobby's sock, the hats that Herminone made for the house elves, Mr and Mrs Weasley's clothing, etc. Was everything CGI? There's got to be something else, don't you think? : Re: OOP Update Cards : sfmuggle November 19, 2007, 07:22:22 AM You folks are right come to think of it. I guess ArtBox isn't very creative in that it's the same props but, at the same time, I've not collected from all the sets yet. Something like Dobby's sock would be so cool (or something unique like that).
I also heard from another distributor about the double auto (Radcliffe/Leung), which is a bonus. Haven't heard anything about a Voldemort/Dumbledore card that was mentioned earlier. Thanks for the updates. : Re: OOP Update Cards : sfmuggle November 19, 2007, 09:38:56 AM oooops! just noticed the Dumbledore/Voldemort dual costume from sell sheet :)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : PepperD November 21, 2007, 02:04:25 PM Hmmm more doilies and curtains kinda stinks.
Good autograph cards. One day I hope for a Harry and Ginny :o= And if that turns out to be my only harry card I can live with it. BTW sorry if this is an old question but are there any chances of Tom Felton doing an autograph? : Re: OOP Update Cards : Geek Boy November 21, 2007, 10:05:32 PM BTW sorry if this is an old question but are there any chances of Tom Felton doing an autograph? They will probably wait until Half Blood Prince as his character features quite heavily in the book. Hopefully... : Re: OOP Update Cards : ECL November 21, 2007, 11:26:18 PM cool! looking forward to this set
: Re: OOP Update Cards : sfmuggle November 21, 2007, 11:59:30 PM I hope Gary Oldman signs for OoTPU. A Harry & Ginny dual would be very very nice. I'll keep praying too ;)
: Re: OOP Update Cards : Bitsy November 22, 2007, 02:31:53 AM Hmmm more doilies and curtains kinda stinks. Good autograph cards. One day I hope for a Harry and Ginny :o= And if that turns out to be my only harry card I can live with it. BTW sorry if this is an old question but are there any chances of Tom Felton doing an autograph? I think we just might see a Harry/Ginny auto card in the future. I would love a Harry/Ginny/Ron/Hermione auto card to represent the couples. :) I would agree with what was said above, Draco is quite prominent in Half-Blood Prince, so it would make sense for him to sign for that set. I'm sooooooo hoping for a Snape auto card for HBP! :o= : Re: OOP Update Cards : kbmum November 22, 2007, 06:25:27 AM Artbox just issued another release. Some of the info is the same as the first one. I've made the text bold where there's new info. :) The release had images of some of the cards, but I'm having a problem capturing just the pictures to include them here. If someone else could help with that, please let me know.

It kind of makes me wonder. :-\
: Re: OOP Update Cards : terryweasley November 22, 2007, 12:12:44 PM Here is a copy of the press release, and the cards shown on it. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that they have the costume and prop material included at this time. A Thanksgiving gift from Tom. Thank you Tom.

The seller must have revised the description. The last I heard from Tom, the release date is December 14. We don't know when Artbox will ship the cases, but maybe someone can post that info.
Thanks, terryweasley! :) For the past few sets, Artbox has released scans of card mock-ups, with no swatch. : Re: OOP Update Cards : sfmuggle November 24, 2007, 01:51:38 AM Thanks so much terryweasley :D I'm so excited as we get closer to the anticipated launch date. I better place my order with Tom Breyer too before my fellow shackers buy it all up ;D
The double costume cards are very nice. I don't believe I've ever seen this format (in terms of costume cards) before. Perhaps a few from POA and MM would be the closest. Anyway, the Deatheater double prop and the Dumbledore/Umbridge are super nice. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum November 25, 2007, 05:52:42 AM Some of the movie's costumes and props are part of a special Hogwarts Express train exhibit. The exhibit included Lucius Malfoy, Snape, Umbridge, and Luna costumes, plus Voldemort's wand, parts of Umbridge's office (table, chair, and kitty plates), and Educational Decree No. 98. Maybe some of the duplicate items used in the film will show up in OOTPU. :)
These pictures were taken in Switzerland: http://gallery.the-leaky-cauldron.org/album/3680 : Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle November 25, 2007, 06:09:16 AM thanks for sharing Cindy. super nice props and costumes.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bitsy November 26, 2007, 08:26:50 AM Looking forward to this set. Hopefully we'll have them to open come Christmas morning. :) ;) :D
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle November 27, 2007, 12:38:26 AM me too, Bitsy :D would make a truly nice x-mas present. from all indications it looks like the 12/14 release date might actually be good.

You mean we actually get to know what is in a set BEFORE
it arrives in our homes???????? :o :o *faints* ;) AWESOME!!!! TOM FELTON!!! WHOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 04, 2007, 08:35:02 AM I think this is the smilie you want, Jackie.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/smilies/faintsmilie.gif) I'm interested in the crystal case cards. The press release had the image, but I'm not able to capture it. I think terryweasley posted images of previous press releases. The auto line-up is strong, with not that many repeat signers. Since people are expecting this comment from me, I might as well say that I'm disappointed by the lack of Sirius costumes and autos. :-\ The flying memo prop sounds great and I'm interested in the cauldron and test tube double props. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : HPfamily December 04, 2007, 09:28:15 AM Yep...thats the gif I need!!!!
Here is the new press release... (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b25/motocrossmom/OOTPUPress2.jpg) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 04, 2007, 09:32:53 AM The Felton card is signed, so that's good news, but I hope the double autos are returned signed in time to be inserted in packs. Redemptions are a pain for everyone.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bitsy December 04, 2007, 09:40:04 AM Merry Christmas early! WOW! Love having all the info! ;D :D :)
The autos look great! I do agree, Cindy, I miss Sirius cards! :( I really like the costumes and the props are cool--The flying memos look fun, the potions props, and the Dark Arts pages. Umbridge's memo paper could be cool--if it's what I'm thinking, the swatches will be pink and some will feature a kitten's face. :) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : HPfamily December 04, 2007, 09:42:25 AM Redemptions are a pain for everyone. HA!! :-[ I haven't even sent in mine for OOTP!!!!!! :-[ ::) I'm not too thrilled about the costumes! :P I suppose I'll have to wait and see... I wonder what incentives will be? : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 04, 2007, 09:50:32 AM There were two different Sirius costumes, each with multiple pieces. I can't believe Warner Bros. wouldn't part with one piece, or even give Artbox some of the material used to create the costumes.
The info about case incentives was released a couple of weeks ago: Ci1 Grimmauld Place fabric prop (2-case) Ci2 Dark Arts book covers prop (5-case) Ci3 Prisoner costume (10-case) Ci4 Dumbledore and Umbridge double costume (25-case) So, the Dark Arts book pages will be pack-inserted and the book cover is an incentive. I like that they made the two cards. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bitsy December 04, 2007, 09:51:10 AM The 2-Case incentive is a Grimmauld Place prop card
5-case incentive is the Dark Arts Book Cover 10-case incentive is prisoner costume 25-case is Dumbledore/Umbridge costume :) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 04, 2007, 09:54:05 AM The card list/case breakdown thread has been updated with the new info so it can be seen all in one place. :)

I remember the incentives now! :P I'm telling ya Cindy!!! B-R-A-I-N-D-E-A-D!!!! ;) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : tialessa December 04, 2007, 11:31:24 PM Tom Felton? YIPPEE!!!!!
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 05, 2007, 04:32:20 AM FilmCards have been confirmed for the set. :D
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 05, 2007, 04:43:35 AM Oh good. That means we should see two inserts per box and one box that has three. There are some props I like, but I think the autos are the best out of this set as well. As for the costumes, other than Lucius, I would have liked to see more of the adult characters. What happened to Sirius, Mr and Mrs Weasley, or Tonks, or Bellatrix? It would be nice to have some costumes from characters that do not have costumes in other sets yet.
And is there any reason there are two more Daily Prophets in this set? Wasn't two in the original OOTP set enough? Don't get me wrong, I love the DP props, but this just seems a little like overkill to me. Oh well, I am still excited about the set. I have an itch to open some boxes :) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Nienna December 05, 2007, 04:52:04 AM Thanks VERY much for all the info posted on this set so far .... I'm with you Sara .. itching like mad to open some boxes and hoping that I pull something half-decent out of some of them! :o= :o= :o=
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : ECL December 05, 2007, 05:10:56 AM Oooohh I like that props list.....looks like a fun set
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 05, 2007, 11:47:35 AM Oh man... Does anyone know if Tom is still taking orders? I already ordered a case through him, but I would love to have another... *been dying for a Tom Felton auto for awhile*
I also wish they'd done more Sirius... it seems a little odd, with the character death in this movie, that they haven't... maybe they'll do another for the last movie? : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 05, 2007, 06:32:58 PM I don't know if Tom has any boxes or cases left, but he quickly responds to email. :)
I wonder if maybe Artbox does have a Sirius costume piece, but it's being held for Memorable Moments 2 or HP3D 2. ::) It was ridiculous that neither POA nor POAU had a Sirius costume (considering he was the title character), but the card showed up in the 3D set. Now we have two OOTP sets, and again no costume. Something isn't right. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : mcgonagall December 05, 2007, 07:44:18 PM i think you will find that once they have finished all the sets they will bring out a best of collection with something from each movie
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Geek Boy December 05, 2007, 08:33:59 PM The Felton card is signed, so that's good news, but I hope the double autos are returned signed in time to be inserted in packs. Redemptions are a pain for everyone. Are you referring to the picture? Could just be a sample (or photoshopped) to entice you with it's loveliness... : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 05, 2007, 09:27:00 PM i think you will find that once they have finished all the sets they will bring out a best of collection with something from each movie I'm sure there will be many compilations sets once the movies are done. They'll definitely make MM2 and HP3D 2 for the last three movies, and there will be more sets. My problem is that I think costumes and autos for major characters, like Sirius and Snape, should be included in the movie set and not held aside for a retrospective set. >:( Are you referring to the picture? Could just be a sample (or photoshopped) to entice you with it's loveliness... I don't think that's a sample. If they had, in hand, the cards with the signatures at the time they produced the press release, that's the image they would have used. Hopefully, there will be no redemptions for this set. I can understand why they happen for a set that's timed with the release of a movie (when there's little leeway for delays), but when it's an update set (and one that has all ready been delayed), there should be enough time to get the autos before the set is packed and shipped. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : terryweasley December 05, 2007, 11:08:14 PM I checked with Tom. He is sold out of cases as is Artbox. He said Artbox cut his order too. The date is still December 14 with arrival date later. I wonder if that is what the December 21 date is I've been seeing on ebay.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 05, 2007, 11:13:51 PM Thanks! That sounds right. Cases shipped on the 14th via UPS Ground should arrive on the 20th for East Coast addresses.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 05, 2007, 11:37:49 PM I can't believe Artbox cut Tom's order! I would think he is their biggest buyer, and if I recall, this is not the first time they did something like this. Tom must not be very happy at the moment.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 05, 2007, 11:48:39 PM I heard the allocation talk as a rumor a couple of days ago but (sadly) it's apparently a reality now. I also ordered from Breyer and wonder how bad the the actual cut is (I heard from a dealer that it may not be too drastic but you never know).
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 06, 2007, 12:09:25 AM I don't understand why there ever has to be an allocation. The manufacturer knows how many cases will be produced. When the total number of orders reaches that number, then the product is sold out. Why would they initially accept more orders than the amount of product?
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 06, 2007, 12:40:35 AM I'm far from an expert but my understanding (at least for some card products) it depends upon how many inserts/autos they actually get back from the actors/actresses vs. what they initially anticipate in terms of an aggregate. I think they always aim high but, as I said, this is only my understanding on how it works for at least certain products.
It's frustrating all the same. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 06, 2007, 02:41:52 AM Artbox obviously does not wait for the autos to come back before figuring how many inserts they will have. If they don't have the auto back, they just print redmeptions instead. And hey, if they did wait, those of us with Bremmer autos from the 3D set wouldn't still be waiting for the actor to sign and send the autos back to Artbox.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bitsy December 06, 2007, 02:53:19 AM FilmCards have been confirmed for the set. :D Yeah! I am glad we have film cards and the possibility of a three-insert box. ;D I'm shocked that they cut Tom's order--that is so wrong. >:( They don't have the Bremmer auto back yet! Seriously?!!! : Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 07, 2007, 02:31:04 AM I heard the same thing from Tom Breyer yesterday and from my local retailer (who also has a master account w/ Artbox). Not too sure how bad Breyer was hit but my local retailer has informed me that my order is being significantly affected (perhaps by 50%). Apparently Artbox is producing less of the Update than the regular OoTP set.
Looks like lots of people will be on :ebay: hunting for cards. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 07, 2007, 02:52:17 AM I checked with Tom. He is sold out of cases as is Artbox. He said Artbox cut his order too. The date is still December 14 with arrival date later. I wonder if that is what the December 21 date is I've been seeing on ebay. Oh wow... they really must have sold out quick if they had to cut orders. O_O;;; I finally got an e-mail back from him, though, saying the same. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 07, 2007, 03:18:51 AM Artbox is producing 600 cases of OOTPU (they made 700 for OOTP).
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : terryweasley December 07, 2007, 11:29:25 AM Tom didn't say I wasn't getting my three cases. I'm glad I sent him an email about my payment. I don't want to over pay him. I can't believe the cards will be here next week. I'm getting excited. One hundred less boxes that sounds good. I've been worried I shouldn't have bought the three boxes. Hopefully I'll get some good prices on :ebay: for my cards.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 08, 2007, 12:58:28 AM you're lucky terryweasley & hopefully you get your full order. Breyer cut me back quite a bit but I've found several local sources who are only a little more expensive than Tom. My only problem is the ability to obtain enough product to satisfy "me" ;D
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 08, 2007, 08:32:44 AM Potomac is now sold out, too.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : ztaylork December 08, 2007, 08:51:36 AM Potomac is now sold out, too. That was my bad...I cleaned them out ;) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 08, 2007, 08:56:36 AM Bad is right! You've been quiet lately. Whatcha been up to?
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Nienna December 09, 2007, 06:11:14 AM Bad is right! You've been quiet lately. Whatcha been up to? He's been BUYING loads of cards is the answer!!Can't wait to see what goddies you pull and put up for sale too Zach - should be good! ;) ;D : Re: OOTP Update Cards : terryweasley December 09, 2007, 10:25:04 AM I'm getting my three cases. Paid him Friday. I must have been a good girl this year, and Santa is sending me an early Christmas gift.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : LikORish-Spider December 10, 2007, 12:13:21 AM I talked to Tom yesterday. He mentioned that he had a cancellation for an order of five boxes. Yes, boxes, not cases, and that is all he had. He sold out of OOTPU. He has probably sold those five boxes by now.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : allender December 10, 2007, 06:10:10 AM Thanks! That sounds right. Cases shipped on the 14th via UPS Ground should arrive on the 20th for East Coast addresses. It depends on where you are in the East Coast. UPS predicts the 20th for Tom's address or Potomac's, the 21st for mine because I'm not near a truck hub. December 21 is a whole 10 days after the DVD will be released and is getting too too close for Holiday ordering, shipping, and receipt!Though I wonder if it really will be "later", or if it will be like the main OOTP, where they shipped earlier and we were sworn to secrecy on what was inside until the official release date. (Of course, maybe Artbox decided not to do that again.) I guess we'll find out after they start arriving out West! Allocation as severe as we're hearing is puzzling. 600 cases versus 700 isn't a huge reduction for an update set. Maybe they decided that their biggest customers had been getting too high a % of the print run? That doesn't seem to be a very big reward for loyalty and guaranteed cash flow, which are two of the most important things for a card company. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : ztaylork December 10, 2007, 06:31:35 AM Bad is right! You've been quiet lately. Whatcha been up to? Been really busy...but I am getting back into the swing of things :) I am excited for this release though!!! If anyone is looking for cases dreamjoey has some on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/HARRY-POTTER-ORDER-OF-THE-PHOENIX-UPDATE-10-BOX-CASE_W0QQitemZ190182263272QQihZ009QQcategoryZ73570QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I made an offer of $490/case for 2 cases, and he accepted, and $30 shipping for the 2, so it came out to be $505/case, so if anyone is interested, possibly he will accept a similar offer :) I think that with Tom Felton and Helena Bonham Carter, its going to be a pretty popular set...but we shall see :) And yes, I am sure I will pull some nice variants to offer up for sale :) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 10, 2007, 10:38:31 AM Does Tom normally send out, "Hey, payment's due" e-mails?
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : blackcat20 December 10, 2007, 12:13:52 PM yes
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 10, 2007, 06:01:30 PM I believe that case payments were due by yesterday (Sunday), so you might want to contact Tom ASAP.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 10, 2007, 11:41:50 PM O_o I didn't quite get one, but I sent payment through paypal last night, so hopefully that will be okay. :S I'm so excited....!
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : terryweasley December 11, 2007, 11:15:11 AM That's strange. Tom sent me an email the first of last week infroming me when the deadline for payment was. Is he shipping the boxes out on the 14th?
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 11, 2007, 12:14:57 PM I dunno... I think that's when Artbox is shipping them. I was wondering though - does he ship them once he has them, or does he ask artbox to ship them for him? ??? Kinda confuzzled...
Also... I asked him about something last week and he didn't say anything, which is why I was curious... thanks. :) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : blackcat20 December 11, 2007, 12:19:04 PM Tom ships once he has received his order.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 11, 2007, 06:23:07 PM Unless Artbox makes a last-minute change, it will ship out cases on the 14th.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Misty December 11, 2007, 09:47:36 PM I think when I buy a case from Tom they are drop shipped direct from Artbox. I think that's the way it is with cases. I don't think they go to him and he sends them out to me. That's why the shipping is so reasonable. of course, I live in the US. It may be different for UK
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 12, 2007, 01:42:28 AM I think when I buy a case from Tom they are drop shipped direct from Artbox. I think that's the way it is with cases. I don't think they go to him and he sends them out to me. That's why the shipping is so reasonable. of course, I live in the US. It may be different for UK Didn't know they did it that way but it makes sense because he (or any other master account dealer) would be paying a whole lot for shipping. Thanks for the explanation. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 12, 2007, 06:21:21 AM Sorry, I'm kinda new to this so forgive my stupidity... but what does 'drop shipped' mean? Just that it's delivered right to the door? What if someone isn't home to accept it?
Thanks. :-\ : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 12, 2007, 07:02:15 AM It means that the manufacturer ships directly to the case buyer, instead of shipping it to the distributor who then ships to the buyer. The person getting cases saves money by not having to pay twice for shipping.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : iverson35 December 12, 2007, 09:41:49 AM JUST BOUGHT AND WATCHED ORDER OF THE PHOENIX ON DVD, CANT WAIT UNTIL THE CASES COME IN, "I LOVE MAGIC" :)
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : terryweasley December 12, 2007, 10:26:42 AM Tom will deliver to the buyer. Artbox sends the cases to him first.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 13, 2007, 01:24:35 AM I can't wait to receive the product. Beginning to feel as giddy as a school child again ;D
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 13, 2007, 04:10:46 AM I wondered why it would take so long, if they shipped on the 14th, and the estimate delivery was the 20th or 21st.
I'm also feeling really giddy... counting down the days! ;D ;D ;D : Re: OOTP Update Cards : HPfamily December 13, 2007, 05:40:34 AM I just received an email from my dealer....
The shipment on this has been delayed to December 20...and the release date is now December 31! :'( : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bogleg December 13, 2007, 05:50:53 AM It's not as though this was a spur of the moment release. It doesn't look as though we will see any product until mid January >:( Once again, any Ebay buys will have to be put on hold and we in the UK will end up with the flotsam and Jetsam >:( >:(
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 13, 2007, 06:32:46 AM I just received an email from my dealer.... The shipment on this has been delayed to December 20...and the release date is now December 31! :'( well so much for Christmas :-\ : Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 13, 2007, 06:42:26 AM Are you kidding me? I thought the item was supposed to be shipping this week? How could they delay it so last minute like that?
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : HPfamily December 13, 2007, 07:22:11 AM My email stated...
Due to the delay with the shipment arriving... ::) >:( My guess is that this means the shipment from where these cards are produced now. :P : Re: OOTP Update Cards : blackcat20 December 13, 2007, 07:25:50 AM I havent even got an email...
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 13, 2007, 08:09:19 AM You know, being so close to the holidays, I doun't doubt a delay like that. I believe they come from overseas somewhere and we all know that mail can be slower this time of year. This sucks :(
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 13, 2007, 08:36:25 AM I wonder if it will actually be delayed that long? It sucks that it's been delayed (again). *Grumble* :'( :-\
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 13, 2007, 08:49:43 AM The cards are manufactured in Taiwan, so there could be a shipping or manufacturing delay.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 14, 2007, 02:09:57 AM The cards are manufactured in Taiwan, so there could be a shipping or manufacturing delay. I've never looked to see where they're made but, given that the cards are coming from Taiwan, I guess it makes sense that there could be delays. Kind of frustrating with all the anticipation and my own impatience :P : Re: OOTP Update Cards : allender December 15, 2007, 08:42:57 PM Tom will deliver to the buyer. Artbox sends the cases to him first. It can be different from one release to the next. Because of the huge amount of business Tom does with Artbox, he tries to get them to ship cases direct to the buyer so that we can all avoid the costs of multiple shipments. Artbox is not obligated to do so, and they can change their minds any time. But for the last few cases I've bought, Tom was successful in having them shipped directly to me from San Clemente CA (not Taiwan ...), but I also had my orders in fairly early.Previously Artbox has tried to ship on a schedule that cards are in the hands of _distributors_ in time for them to send them to the buyers to arrive near the official release date. If buyers (or distributor-dealers) receive a direct shipment before the release date and choose to start posting cards for sale early, it can annoy Artbox and increase costs for the whole hobby. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : terryweasley December 15, 2007, 11:47:11 PM I placed my order about a month before the December 14 date. My email from Tom mentioned I was closer to the deliver location than her was. I live in Savannah, Georgia so I would be closer to San Clemente, California. My boxes must be coming from Artbox. I hope they decide to ship early. I was planning to give some of them as Christmas gifts. Thanks for the information.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : allender December 16, 2007, 06:03:50 AM My email from Tom mentioned I was closer to the deliver location than he was. I live in Savannah, Georgia so I would be closer to San Clemente, California. Then by all justice I should get mine sooner than you do, since I'm 140 miles westward on the Savannah River. ;) My boxes must be coming from Artbox. I hope they decide to ship early. I was planning to give some of them as Christmas gifts. Thanks for the information. I hope you're having a late Christmas celebration. Artbox' letter to Tom from Wednesday said they would ship on December 20, and official release date is December 31. According to UPS, you should expect your case from San Clemente by the end of the day Friday December 28. Four business days in transit, plus two for the weekend and apparently two for holidays, makes eight.Augusta isn't one of the UPS hubs, so they quote me an extra in-transit day. With holidays, UPS Ground which leaves California on December 20 is projected to reach me on ... January 2. Yikes, a drop-shipment that takes 13 days (with several long snoozes in depots) and doesn't even make the release date. If the package goes as predicted, it will arrive at a warehouse 20 miles away from my house on the 28th, then spend 29th-30th-31st-1st there digesting holiday egg nog. : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Sharon December 17, 2007, 01:34:00 AM If the package goes as predicted, it will arrive at a warehouse 20 miles away from my house on the 28th, then spend 29th-30th-31st-1st there digesting holiday egg nog. I think this is a job for The Shack rescue team . Do you remember when we were trying to persuade Anna to raid the warehouse for one of the sets as she lived just down the road . This must be so frustrating for you - at least I know they are still thousands of miles away! But I can't say I am too disappointed. After the delays on every other set I never actually believed they would reach us this year ::) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : allender December 17, 2007, 06:52:47 AM For me it became a moot point when it turned out they wouldn't be arriving in time for base-set Christmas giftees.
It's weird dealing with UPS. It's not the first time when a case has arrived at their same-county-as-me warehouse on a Friday, after the last trucks have left the depot with deliveries, and the package was destined to sit over the weekend. This is the first time that two holidays have been added in. If they try to deliver to my residence and can't leave a package, I can go online and tell them I'll pick it up at the depot. But you can't tell them that in advance; they have to make one delivery attempt first. I'll be out of town anyway this time, so all I'll "lose" is a couple of days-off opening packs just because they take Monday the 31st as a holiday. I'll have to settle for watching minor football bowl games and overdoing the egg nog. (Actually, I'll spend a few moments watching everybody else post their breakdowns and checking for case clusters. >:D ) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 17, 2007, 08:06:16 AM I'm disappointed with the delay... but I'll have by boxes by the end of the day on the 28th. ;D
Does anyone know when artbox will post the information regarding odds of getting certain cards? Do they ever? : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 17, 2007, 08:38:58 AM Artbox doesn't post that info anywhere (its website hasn't been updated in over a year), but it's printed on the packs. The odds for OOTPU should be:
Costume card 1:24 packs (1 per box or 10 per case) Auto 1:48 packs (5 per case) Prop card 1:80 packs (3 per case) FilmCards 1:80 (3 per case) Foil chase cards 1:4.8 packs (5 per box) 1 box topper per box 1 case topper per case Unless there are dud boxes (no inserts in a box), nine boxes per case will have two premium inserts and one box will have three. Jeff, UPS won't deliver on December 31? That's when I was expecting my boxes. :'( : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bitsy December 17, 2007, 10:26:57 AM Cindy,
I'm pretty sure the only days UPS will not deliver are Christmas Day and New Year's Day. They should be delivering on the 31st...that's when I'm hoping for mine as well. ;) :o= : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 17, 2007, 08:56:19 PM Unfortunately, Jeff is right. :'( UPS will deliver only Air and International packages on December 31.
http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/service/support/operation.html?srch_pos=1&srch_phr=2008+holiday+schedule : Re: OOTP Update Cards : allender December 18, 2007, 06:06:58 AM Thanks for the confirmation. ;)
I started sticking in all of the zip codes that I could think of from people here and over on another forum, plus some of the key distributors. Everybody else in the eastern U.S. is quoted 4 days in transit with expected delivery on the 28th. I'm quoted 5 days in transit and the 2nd. That 1 extra day would turn into 5 ... I think my OOTP cards arrived in 4 transit days, though. Sometimes the routing goes through different hubs, and it might find its way to the local depot before the trucks head out for delivery. They're pretty good about working late during the holiday season. But I stuck in their *own* zip code for delivery, and it still projected January 2 even if they were just driving across the street. Now if I could just remember the secret voicemail code to get past the pre-recorded options, and connect to a real person, I could throw myself on their mercy. :-\ : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 20, 2007, 10:32:00 AM Whoo... I can begin counting down now. :D Tom just sent out a shipping confirmation e-mail. Happy Christmas, y'all!
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 20, 2007, 08:12:28 PM That's right -- Artbox shipped the cases yesterday. :) Maybe this will alleviate the delivery problems around the end of the year.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 21, 2007, 02:34:44 AM That's great news. Won't make it in time for stocking stuffer but I'll be thrilled with a belated Christmas present ;D
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : blackcat20 December 21, 2007, 04:43:34 AM Its the perfect way to make the christmas cheer last a little longer...though they probably wont arrive Down Under until the new year...
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 21, 2007, 08:06:26 PM If anyone receives their cases today or Monday, please PM me. Thanks!
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bitsy December 22, 2007, 06:54:15 AM Darn, I really thought UPS delivered on the 31st. :( Ah well, we'll get them soon enough. Can't wait to start seeing the breakdowns! :)
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 22, 2007, 07:48:24 AM If anyone receives their cases today or Monday, please PM me. Thanks! THAT would be fantastic... I'm all the way out in KS though, so I would doubt I'd be one of those people, if in fact some cases are delivered. Aw man, now I'm all hopeful. ><;;; : Re: OOTP Update Cards : PepperD December 22, 2007, 03:25:00 PM Ooooh I just saw the scan of Tom Felton's auto.. :o= Please cosmic muffin I have almost always been pretty good!
It will prolly be the middle of January afore I get my boxes :-\ But my Mom has been really generous this xmas and as well as getting me some excellent SS cards which I won't get until January she has bought me an OOP box so in a couple of days we get to open that!! ;D Actually she is really tinny (lucky) so I might let her open most of the packets. I hope everyone has a beaut xmas and your boxes give you great joy as well as some brilliant cards. :) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : allender December 22, 2007, 05:01:21 PM THAT would be fantastic... I'm all the way out in KS though, so I would doubt I'd be one of those people, if in fact some cases are delivered. Aw man, now I'm all hopeful. ><;;; It might depend on which part of Kansas. KS is just over the line that predicts "4 days in transit" for UPS Ground from Artbox, which means delivery guaranteed by Thursday. But CO and OK are in the 3-day region, predicted for Monday. If the trucks make good time and they work hard to deliver earlybecause of the looming holiday ...I think we figured out the UPS Ground schedule. The 24th is a semi-holiday, where UPS delivers but doesn't pick up Ground packages. The evenings/nights of 24th and 25th are holidays for the truckers. So the 26th is a full work day for deliveries, but UPS doesn't expect that there will be any Ground packages to deliver locally on that date because nothing would have arrived in the depots. So one day of extra "distance" means three days of extra waiting. (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/allender/0000abox.gif) 1-day: 20th .. 2-day: 21st .. 3-day: 24th .. 4-day: 27th .. 5-day: 28th .. 6-day: 2nd : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bogleg December 22, 2007, 07:23:57 PM 96th day - UK ::)
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : allender December 22, 2007, 09:37:36 PM Generally they don't offer the "Ground" option for transporting cards over the pond. Those brown trucks don't look very spiffy with pontoons. The good news is, the airplanes don't take as many days off during the celebratory season, so some folks might get stuff before a few pockets of 'ol USA. 8)

Now I wish we lived with my cousins... they're in Colorado. ><;; I'm 'fraid I'm near neither border. Oh well.... just a few extra days. ^^ : Re: OOTP Update Cards : loopy looney December 24, 2007, 09:22:30 AM I wish i had ordered my boxes from Artbox directly but i ordered it from :ebay: I live in Southern CA so if i had ordered i directly, according to the map above i would have gotten it already!!! Not Fair :'(
Oh well, i am getting really excited now, i hope i pull at least something good :D : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 24, 2007, 06:30:23 PM Only distributors can order directly from Artbox. Artbox also doesn't ship box orders, but they will ship some case orders to collectors who have ordered through certain distributors.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 25, 2007, 08:27:39 PM Merry Christmas to those who celebrate the holiday, and for everyone on the forum, here are the first OOTPU auctions:

Only $95.00 for a Film Card....whadda deal...
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 25, 2007, 08:48:02 PM But they're limited to only 260 each! ;) The seller must be hoping to hit it big because these are the first listings. I hope it's worth it when he or she can't buy future Artbox releases...
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 26, 2007, 06:02:17 AM A letter should go out with cases saying when the official street date is and warn people that they should not list or show pictures until that date. With that said, I LOVE the picture on the George costume with him and Ron.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 26, 2007, 06:50:28 AM He added those since Christmas morning.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : ECL December 26, 2007, 07:22:23 AM very very nice!!
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 26, 2007, 08:42:56 AM But they're limited to only 260 each! ;) The seller must be hoping to hit it big because these are the first listings. I hope it's worth it when he or she can't buy future Artbox releases... Does Artbox watch the auctions? O_o Also... it's kinda cheap to start selling cards so quickly (though I'm rather envious that they have received their cards... I'm still waiting anxiously for mine!). Oh well... : Re: OOTP Update Cards : loopy looney December 26, 2007, 11:47:42 AM I was shocked to see cards up on :ebay: already. but i guess that is the way to do it since the seller might get more money for them since they are the only cards up right now! I am so excited to get my cards, hopefully they will come soon! ;D
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 26, 2007, 07:16:44 PM The seller has listed more cards, and the good news is that the Draco, Tonks, Fudge, Bellatrix, Kreacher, and Dudley auto aren't redemptions! I just have to get a Tonks auto. :D
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : The Razzer December 26, 2007, 10:48:05 PM is there a full card list out yet anywhere with the numbers of the props and costumes???
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 26, 2007, 11:02:49 PM I believe one of the press releases had a list of cards, but their numbers were not mentioned. We just need to wait to see the numbers once everyone opens their boxes.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 27, 2007, 12:34:43 AM The seller has listed more cards, and the good news is that the Draco, Tonks, Fudge, Bellatrix, Kreacher, and Dudley auto aren't redemptions! I just have to get a Tonks auto. :D I'm so happy they aren't doing redemptions this time ;) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 27, 2007, 12:37:58 AM Well...there are three redemptions so far -- Lupin, Bane, and Amelia Bones.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : sfmuggle December 27, 2007, 12:40:14 AM good to know.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 27, 2007, 01:44:08 AM There are only three autos I haven't seen on eBay or heard about yet -- Mad-Eye, Mrs. Figg, and Harry/Cho. If anyone can confirm whether these cards have signatures or are redemptions, please let me know. :)
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bitsy December 27, 2007, 03:25:16 AM I noticed that the seller added that these cards are "pre-order" and will ship the release date of the 31st.
It's nice to see a preview of the cards, though! :D So looking forward to these cards. :) : Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 27, 2007, 03:59:34 AM Ah, so I wonder if that makes it okay then. Although, I thought you weren;t even supposed to show the actual cards until that date.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 27, 2007, 04:06:14 AM The cards were not supposed to be listed until the 31st and from what I understand, Artbox didn't want scans circulating until then. I think this is a very stupid policy. What better way to develop interest in the set (and sales for the dealers who keep Artbox in business) than to let collectors see the cards? ::)
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 27, 2007, 04:36:38 AM I agree. At the last show I was at that Artbox attended, they had the 3D cards on display (not all of them, just the autos). They would not let me take pictures because the set was not officially released yet. I believe someone else managed to get a picture that we were able to see, but they do not like them being shown until a certain date. I agree that I get more excited when I get to see them ahead of time.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : erevine December 27, 2007, 11:22:22 PM These cards have been sold out for quite some time now, so i doubt that Artbox feels it needs the publicity. With the limited number of boxes available and the ever increasing interest in Harry Potter Memorabilia the only folks that may benefit from this is the distributors and retailers who might to able to raise there prices. I myself prefer to speculate and look forward to leaks concerning what are in the next set of cards, and this probably keeps the prices down that consumers have to pay for boxes.
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 28, 2007, 03:42:31 AM Hey - I had a question.
Is there a trading thread here? I got some cards I'd rather trade (didn't get the one I really wanted... figures. :P ). Also - good luck to everyone who hasn't gotten cards, and to those who have but have resisted the urge to rip all the packs open. ;D : Re: OOTP Update Cards : rns91294 December 28, 2007, 03:54:01 AM Yes, there is. It is called Diagon Alley (if you are talking about Potter cards). However, since the official release date is not until December 31st, you might want to wait to list your trade. This way, you can be sure that most people waiting for boxes will have them opened by then. Good luck!
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 28, 2007, 04:04:25 AM Thank you much. :) I was going to wait on listing, just because it isn't 'officially' out yet. Now time to shop :ebay:...
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : loopy looney December 31, 2007, 12:16:20 AM Just one more day to wait until they can offically come out and i am sure :ebay: will then be packed full of cards!!! Now i am getting excited!!
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 31, 2007, 02:22:50 AM A reminder -- The release date is just a few hours away. If you're interested in bidding on eBay, please use the link in the upper right corner to access auctions. It takes money to run the Shack, and we get a small portion of the proceeds for any items won when they were bid on using the link. :)
Also, the card list/breakdowns and scans/comments threads will be unlocked 31 December at 12:01 a.m. GMT. :D : Re: OOTP Update Cards : grecopa December 31, 2007, 04:40:31 AM Tick-tock...tick-tock... ;D
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : kbmum December 31, 2007, 08:11:24 AM There are six case toppers. The images are Harry, Hermione, and Voldemort, and each one is available in two tints, purple and yellow. We do have a complete (or nearly complete) card list, so you can see the card numbers, names, and print runs. If anyone knows what card numbers (CT1, CT2, CT3) were assigned to the case loaders, please let me know. :)
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Hikarist December 31, 2007, 08:19:38 AM Thanks. I just figured that out a second ago.... ^^;;
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bogleg January 01, 2008, 08:26:29 PM Put wheels on my granny and call her a wagon. Judging by Gimli's auctions, the cards have hit the UK ;D ;D
: Re: OOTP Update Cards : gimli January 02, 2008, 12:12:42 AM I am afraid it may be a little misleading
I have only received the Incentive cards no cases or binders Yet but there was a mix up with my shipping address which has held the whole thing up I really wish they had waited til after the new year to release it there are always problems around christmas : Re: OOTP Update Cards : Bogleg January 02, 2008, 04:13:26 AM Ooooops! The wheels just fell off my granny. Nice incentives though ;D
