I saw one on eBay not to long ago, and I've been desperate to see it ever since.  It looked like subscription info from the back cover.  Of course, the auction had already ended.

Anyhoo. . . I'd love to see your Quibbler cards -- I hope to pick up a good one soon!

I just received this card today and was going to post it in the scans and comments thread.  But, since you started a Quibbler thread, I may as well post here! :)

When we first found out the OOTP set would have a Quibbler, I went on a mission to find a swatch of the headline or article "Sirius Black: Villain or Victim?"  The "Victim" card was on eBay a few weeks ago, but it went to another member of the Shack.  Just when I was starting to give up hope, the card I wanted finally appeared!  Thanks go out to Sara for spotting this at Dee's Show last month (and for deciding to buy boxes of OOTP instead of this card ;) ), and to Eve Harrington, who gave me a list of dealers at the show so that Sara could tell me which one had the card.  It's a beauty! :D

NICE CARD!  The reason the colors do not match is because your Quibbler piece is from the back cover (the back cover has a swirl of Quibblers).  That's why it's also so small.

I had just missed yours!  It's a sweet piece from the back cover.  Is that background color really white or more of a purple / blue?

Cindy, I love your card ;D.  I would only regret not buying it myself if one of my OOTP boxes didn't end up having a Dan auto in it  ;)

I love everyone's cards.  I really want to get a nice one for myself, but they seem to have dissapeared from eBay. I guess I just need to be patient.

As we get closer to the holidays (when people need money for presents) and the release of OOTPU, I think we'll see more OOTP cards on eBay. :)

Wow some seriously great cards. 

I just bought my most expensive card - which just happens to be one of the quibblers.  It isn't quite as neat as the sirius or victim ones but I like the colours and now I have seen the prop picture of the magazine I can place it - which to me is the most brilliant thing of all.  It is the top of the word FAR just under the Bannerhead.  I am so chuffed   :D

Okay I guess there's a reason they call me baby yak..  I can't seem to insert my picture   ???  Help!

I've been searching everywhere for that card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yes, I'm almost positive it's Sirius. :)  There must have been a picture with the article inside the Quibbler.

Sara--That is a great Quibbler! I think you upgrade ONLY if you find one you just can't live without.  ;) If you find one, you can offset some of the price by selling the one you have. But until then, I think it's a pretty darn nice swatch!  ;) :D :)

Sara I agree with Bitsy - nice swatch. 

When I pull them from boxes I get bits of the prophet or wanted posters that are blank.  I want to be there when Gimli is pulling them from his boxes, they sound better than mine   :P

Btw Gimli that quibbler with the face on it is a beauty.  It does look like Sirius.  Have you heard of one with gringott's bag on it, or seen any with the big red quibbler letters?    :)

hey folks - may be a very daft question but how can I upload a .jpg file?  I tried attaching a pic to my post but keep getting an error message "The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.".  Not too sure what I'm doing wrong.  any help would be appreciated :)

btw, my quibbler card is 220/235 but, sadly, no pic to share.

Some of the good Quibblers have sold for more than $100.  There aren't many available anymore, so that's part of the reason for the high price.

When I log in to eBay I hit international but there seem to be a lot of sales that never show.  And when I try and get into the US eBay it fights me like anything.  The system keeps reverting me to eBayAus   >:()

Hey Pepper - yeah, this was a really nice card and I was bidding until it went above $100.  The "QU" is just so unique but, alas, we all have limits on what we're willing to pay  :'(

That's really weird about getting into US eBay  ???  wondering if other shackers have the same problem.  I'll keep posting new Quibbler cards as I see them  ;)

It's amazing how quickly it seems the Quibbler prop just disappeared from ebay.

Initially following a set release there is usually a good number of choices, but as time passes, that selection slims. For whatever reason, the Quibbler did not seem to stay around--guess it's a pretty popular prop.  ;) I can certainly understand--it's one of my favorites!  :D

It's not only a great prop, it's also numbered to 235.  There aren't many to go around.

Hey guys, does anyone here, saved some pictures of the Quibbler cards that went up for auction, since the ootp set was released?
I had a lot saved here. But I lost all of them due to computer problems more than a year ago.

I was able to find some of them again. But as now I'm currently working on a replica of this prop.
I'd really appreciate if anyone here, could share the pictures of the cards you saved.

Cindy, it looks like the one you used to own is up for sale on eBay right now!

Looking through this thread again, there are some really nice swatches. My two favorites are the one with Sirius's face on it, and the one Cindy got with Sirius's name on it. I never did upgrade mine, but for the prices they go for now, I am truly pleased with my card.
