I need some advice, once an item arrives in the UK it will have to go through the customs at that airport, right?
It's now the 9th day for my item and i'm getting worried about it, if I rang HM Revenue & Customs would they be to tell me if they have my parcel. Or would it have to be a local office?

If anyone has any numbers as well that would be great!

When I had to pay excess tax on something I imported I had to pay it to Parcelforce so they might know. The trouble is that you woudl need some kind of tracting number as they wouldn't look through every package.

Can anyone help me, I am still waiting for a parcel from my US dealer, I had a look on the parcel force website to track it and it is in the UK  ;D

But why has it been awaiting customs charging since the 12/7, is it beacuse customs hasn't got round to sorting my parcel out?

Don't forget there has been a Royal Mail strike yesterday and I'm fairly sure it will have impacted on ALL the mail coming into the UK no matter who is delivering it.
I think the very earliest you're likely to see your order will be Monday of next week and it may take longer than that - why don't you ring Parcel Force to find out instead of keep on asking on here - we none of us work for the postal services so are unlikely to be able to help you!

The strike will not have much impact on the delivery of parcels, but customs are not always speedy in processing items. (I once had a package that took two weeks to clear customs >:())

I once had a parcel that cleared customs and took over a week to get from Mount Pleasent to my local sorting office. Just sit tight and wait...or go to the bank and take out a loan to cover what they're going to charge you  :rofl:
