I was watching the movie last night and came across somthing that's bothered me since the first time I saw it.  Here's the scene:

Harry and Ron have used the polyjuice potion and are in the Slytherin common room.  Draco is talking, then he sits down on a large table and picks up a small box, shakes it, and asks "Is this yours?" then puts it in his pocket.  A few moments later he takes it out and starts to untie the bow on the package.  Harry and Ron start to change back and run out of the room.

Ok, what was in the box?  Why was that even shown in the movie?  Was it in the book because I can't remember.  Did they mention it later in the movie and I'm such an idiot that I never saw it?

ANSWERS!!  I demand ANSWERS!!

I don't remember it in the book i could be wrong it has been a while since i read it

but i would say it was in the movie because it says a lot in a short time about slytherin and the slytherin house's pupils

 :rofl: :rofl:  Well I will have a go at putting you out of your misery  :rofl:.  No that bit wasn't in the book and wasn't mentioned later on.  I think it was just to demonstrate what a rotter Draco is ie stealing someone else's Christmas present.

But that is what I love about films like Harry Potter - you can watch them over and over and still spot something new every time.  I am still playing the scene in POTC2 over and over again in slow motion where they visit Tia Dalma for the first time.  Jack steals something and looks at other bits and I know they are all tied up with Davy Jones.

Now I see, they just want the movie audience to realize Draco is BAD! 
I guess it threw me for a loop because I read the books before the movie and I already knew that Draco was bad.  Thanks!
