: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz March 02, 2007, 11:55:15 PM OK OK so we're six months too early, but as pictures etc. emerge maybe we can start to get excited about potential props etc.
We've had quite a few 'filler' sets lately (updates, Memorable Moments, even Chamber seemed to be something of a non-event :( and HP3D generally cries "GIMMICK" at me), so instead I'm going to look forward to this one. OK, I unashamedly admit that I'm a geek, It's always so exciting to go to see a movie (for the first time) and think "ooh I have a piece of that" - "ooh I know what that's like close up"... I don't know why but this makes card collecting more lively for me, so I'll be looking forward to the OOTP set :) Obviously if we get any REAL info we can post it in here too :D P.S. I haven't seen another topic on this, but if there is one Cindy please feel free to merge :) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum March 03, 2007, 12:08:51 AM I don't recall there being another OOTP thread, so let's run with this one! :D
I am VERY excited about this set. The book is my second favorite (behind POA). There are so many possibilities for cards! First off, we need...a SIRIUS costume! There weren't any in POA, POAU, or MM. It's long overdue. His main costume appears to have a jacket, shirt, vest, and trousers. Surely, Artbox should be able to acquire at least one of the pieces. In addition to returning characters, we'll see Tonks, Kingsley, a variety of witches and wizards who are members of the Order, Luna, Umbridge, and Bellatrix. There was no Moody costume in GOF or GOFU, so that would be nice, too. All of them would make great autos, too. I think it's a no-brainer that Gary Oldman will sign for either OOTP or OOTPU (yes, I know that won't be until November or so). Who wants a Helena Bonham-Carter auto? Me! :D It's hard to say at this point what props will be in the movie, but we should have Umbridge's nasty quill, her decrees (if they're made of paper), a number of dark wizard items from Grimmauld Place, maybe items from the Room of Requirements, and the Veil. By the way, the last I heard was that this set would be released in June. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Galea March 03, 2007, 02:30:20 AM Who wants a Helena Bonham-Carter auto? MEMEME! She's brilliant 8) (http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/7128/sclassroomrx6.jpg) Why is it that the first thing i thought of when i saw this picture is "WOW look at that, the prop-card possibilities!", i just love the details here, the jars, the potion labels (they look better in the original HQ picture), wouldn't it be great to have something from this set 8). : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz March 03, 2007, 03:15:22 AM I went to sleep last night listening to the OOTP which was kindly being read to me by Stephen Fry himself :o... when I woke up this morning I was on chapter 5  I think I'd best start again, I barely remember anything after the sound of someone apparating and JK's sarcasm about Dudley and "having tea with friends".
When this book was first released I was out of the country and I remember ringing home and trying to glean as much info about the book from Mark. He said "erm... I haven't got far but Dudley's now a thug..." I couldn't believe it - it made me laugh outloud :D. Yes yes, we really need a Sirius costume. I hope Gary will sign again, but no doubt he'll only sign a few, he's always a rare one (e.g. Batman begins, PoA, GoF). Helena Bonham Carter has signed for a few things and even for Artbox before so if we keep our fingers crossed maybe we'll be in luck. I want a Tonks' hair prop  P.S. Cindy - good choice of favourite book ;) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Morningangel-Iola March 03, 2007, 04:50:41 AM I went to sleep last night listening to the OOTP which was kindly being read to me by Stephen Fry himself :o... when I woke up this morning I was on chapter 5  I Surely Stephen noticed when you had dosed off and put the book down ;) I'm sure Tonk's clothes would make a good one. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz March 03, 2007, 05:08:29 AM Surely Stephen noticed when you had dosed off and put the book down ;) I think he was enjoying the book too much to notice  I'm sure Tonk's clothes would make a good one. Yeah definitely :) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : sweinar2005 March 03, 2007, 08:27:00 AM In addition to the Sirius Costume card I also think we are way overdue for a Snape costume as well. :'(
I know several members addressed how protective Allen Rickman is of his image but i doubt that he is so protective as to not have at least one costume given for use by artbox. ??? His autograph is also well over due. Even Maggie Smith did an autograph card. I doubt that he is so protective as to not do an auto card. If he is to busy that is one thing but to outright no do one because of "image" I find that hard to believe. >:( How long would it take for him to sign 50 cards anyway? At least if not for the OOTP he has to do one for HBP - Snape has a huge role in this one and I bet an even bigger one in DH. I am confident that by the end of movie seven I will have an auto and a costume card for Snape. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : beatles99 March 03, 2007, 10:07:27 AM I'm also confident Edith that you will have Snape's auto and costume !!!!
along with 4 more auto cards of Warrick Davis !!!!!!!!!! : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Galea March 03, 2007, 10:15:51 AM I am confident that by the end of movie seven I will have an auto and a costume card for Snape. I hope you're right Edith :-[, imagine the HBP set without Alan Rickman's and Tom Felton's autos :'(. I'm also confident Edith that you will have Snape's auto and costume !!!! They will probably leave him out of HBP + DHallows, I'm sure that wouldn't stop Artbox anyway  which is great for those collecting his auto cards.along with 4 more auto cards of Warrick Davis !!!!!!!!!! : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Sharon March 03, 2007, 06:51:09 PM Yay we want more Warwick Davis stuff ;D
The props I would love to have probably won't exist :'(. I really want something to do with Kreature and the photo of the Black family he carries around. Does anyone know if House Elves are in this film? Another great prop would be the list of Dumbledores Army, the one they all sign and Hermione curses ;D. Actually it would be great to have coin cards in this set. I am not a great fan of them but as this is how DA is summoned they would fit in perfectly. Oh and how about the lines Harry writes in blood >:D This should be a brilliant set :o= : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : grecopa March 04, 2007, 04:37:34 AM I would love a Flitwick costume just as much as a Snape costume!
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : beatles99 March 04, 2007, 09:24:13 AM I would love a Flitwick costume just as much as a Snape costume! Ah yes but would you love a Flitwick Auto just as much as a Snape Auto is the real question ??????????? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : terryweasley March 04, 2007, 09:34:10 AM In addition to the Sirius Costume card I also think we are way overdue for a Snape costume as well. :'( I know several members addressed how protective Allen Rickman is of his image but i doubt that he is so protective as to not have at least one costume given for use by artbox. ??? I am confident that by the end of movie seven I will have an auto and a costume card for Snape. You know I find it odd that Artbox has never issued a Snape autograph card. I know for a fact Alan Rickman will sign autographs. I have two autographed photos of him. One from the Sorcerer's Stone in his classroom, and one from the Chamber of Secrets. That one is a group photo of McGonagal, Snape, Sprout, and Richard Harris as Dumbledore. Everyone but Spout has autographed it. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy March 05, 2007, 01:57:48 AM Yay we want more Warwick Davis stuff ;D The props I would love to have probably won't exist :'(. Oh and how about the lines Harry writes in blood >:D This should be a brilliant set :o= Sharon--I think I read that Kreacher will be in this film big time. Those props would be amazing! :o= I hope even half of these props make it to the set! Oh, must save money....must save money! ::) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : HPfamily May 26, 2007, 03:33:59 AM I received an email stating that the OOTP set has been pushed back
till the end of June. But no confirmed date. Still looks like it will be out before the movie! :) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : terryweasley May 26, 2007, 12:22:22 PM I know they're not the same as the autograph cards, but I thought you'll might like to see what Alan Rickman and Tom Felton's autographs look like.

There's a pic around here of a Tom Felton auto I got when he came to Collectormania, He said then that he'd signed some cards of some sort, but they never emerged. He didn't know if they were artbox though...
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Nienna May 27, 2007, 03:10:50 AM Very cool. There's a pic around here of a Tom Felton auto I got when he came to Collectormania, He said then that he'd signed some cards of some sort, but they never emerged. He didn't know if they were artbox though... Either he's being blonde or doesn't need the money to bother remembering who he's signed for! ::) :PReally cool signed pics there Terry, thanks for sharing. ;D Just goes to show how poor some of the signatures actually are on the cards when you compare them to these. :-\ I know, I know ... I shouldn't expect too much given how many each person was given to sign, but if people like Robert Hardy, Richard Griffiths Stan Ianevski and Warwick Davis can sign as consistently as we've seen them do, then that argument doesn't hold true does it? ;) ^-^ : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy May 27, 2007, 08:47:05 AM That's interesting...I wonder what cards he means? Do you think Artbox could have gotten him to sign early for a set and they are holding them back for a future set release? (As I am asking this, I seriously doubt it, but I thought I would ask just the same ::) :-\).
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : rns91294 May 27, 2007, 10:17:49 AM I thought I remember that Tom was supposed to sign for one of the past sets, and then it never happened or something. Maybe he did sign for them and maybe they are holding out. Just doesn't make sense since each set seems to have its own background for the autos. Hey, maybe he signed for OotP.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : ferdinand_the_yak May 27, 2007, 11:52:52 AM I doubt Artbox thinks that far ahead though...
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz May 27, 2007, 04:42:09 PM Too true... too true :P They'd not have had the design sorted all that time ago.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum May 27, 2007, 07:23:40 PM According to the "upcoming releases" section at NSU, the OOTP Update set has been moved back to October. That's very welcome news! :) The original August/September release was just too close to the 3D and OOTP releases.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : terryweasley May 29, 2007, 11:06:08 AM I found this on the Potomac Distribution home page under the news section:
Daily Update May 22 We were notified today that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will release a week later than originally expected. We now expect it to arrive by July 2nd. Pre-order Order of the Phoenix here! : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum May 29, 2007, 07:59:00 PM Yep, that sounds about right. I wouldn't be surprised if there were even a bit more of a delay once we hit mid-June.
Here are some auctions/BINs for sell sheets and promos. :) http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-1738318-5463217?loc=http%3A//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D170116905726 http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-1738318-5463217?loc=http%3A//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D250121045540 http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-1738318-5463217?loc=http%3A//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D270124404224 : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter June 07, 2007, 07:27:53 PM Is there a change to the release date or is it still 2nd July
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 07, 2007, 08:23:10 PM We don't yet have an official release date. :-\ The last we heard from Artbox was that the set would be released at the end of June. Now that all of the 3D cases are out the door, they're working on the 24 Season 5 set, which supposedly has a release date of June 19.
However, we have some news. There will be Harry, Ron, and Hermione autos in OOTP set! :D : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter June 07, 2007, 08:36:12 PM Thats good then, I wonder what the chances will be me pulling either a harry, ron or hermoine auto from my 2 cases ::)
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 07, 2007, 08:42:10 PM It's hard to say. Those autos have been pretty rare in other sets. Still, it's really nice to have another shot at them! :)
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter June 07, 2007, 08:45:25 PM It is really surpricing that we have more info on OOTP then we have on 3D set, but atleast there on their way to everyone :D
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 07, 2007, 08:56:16 PM It is. Artbox has never been that great about releasing info, but they've never been this bad about it. There was a time when they'd email full-color announcements that listed some of the cards plus had a few scans so you could get an idea of how the cards looked. I really wish they'd go back to that. :-\
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy June 08, 2007, 05:22:03 AM It is. Artbox has never been that great about releasing info, but they've never been this bad about it. There was a time when they'd email full-color announcements that listed some of the cards plus had a few scans so you could get an idea of how the cards looked. I really wish they'd go back to that. :-\ I definitely second that! :-\ : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 08, 2007, 09:46:36 PM We have a new release date for OOTP. It will ship from Artbox on June 28.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 08, 2007, 10:02:27 PM so if the 28th is the ship date then I wonder what the official release date is. I am really hoping to have my cases before Memorabilia on the 6th and 7th July with that ship date we may just see them in time for the show and they will be on sale there if they are received I am sure even if it is before the offical release date as it would be such a waste of an opertunity
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 08, 2007, 10:05:02 PM I wish Artbox would do away with the "official release date." They should just ship the cases and be done with it.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 08, 2007, 10:07:29 PM Yeah is not the Shipping date actually a release date anyway ??
who knows what they are thinking My guess is they are trying to get fairness in sales for those it takes longest to ship too but it does then defeat the perpose of paying for fast shipping if you can't sell them straight away anyway : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : sweinar2005 June 13, 2007, 11:30:05 PM Tom Breyer told me in an email last night that the release date was pushed back to july. he didn't specify wether it was towards the begining or the end of the month.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 13, 2007, 11:39:24 PM hopefully the release date will not be later than 7th July as that is the Memorabillia show weekend and I was really hoping to have them for sale at the show
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : HPfamily June 14, 2007, 12:26:49 AM UUUG!!! :P That's getting real close to the Star Wars release date! :(
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy June 14, 2007, 06:39:21 AM Now I'm confused.
Are they still shipping June 28th and the release date is in July? Or is the shipping date July now, along with the release date? Why can't the "ship" date be the "release" date anyway? I think it would alleviate a lot of confusion. :-\ : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : sweinar2005 June 14, 2007, 10:09:43 AM well in the email with Tom B. I was making arrangements to pay for a WHP Master Set. And told him I wanted to go ahead and pay for my OOTP cases. He told me to wait on the OOTP cases payment and he would let me know when to pay for them. So I am sure the ship date and release date are mid to late July or maybe he is expecting the date to get pushed back again. Which really is disappointing because SDCC is at the end of July. I'm sure alot of us remember the fiasco with the MM Trophy card prices. A little concerning if they decide to make a similar limited # card again and release it as SDCC along with the other special items.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 June 14, 2007, 08:40:15 PM I do not think anyone has posted about this yet but Artbox seems to have revamped the autograph card design for this set. I personally love the new design.
A seller on Ebay has a Pre-sell case for sale with a picture of what the Radcliffe auto will look like (well, without the auto on it) and I really do love it. I do not want to post a link because I am not sure if it is against the rules to link to a strangers auction or not but if you search for "Harry Potter Sealed Case" on Ebay it should be the first item that comes up. What does everyone else think? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 14, 2007, 08:50:38 PM You can post links to other auctions. However, after a certain amount of time, the link will no longer work.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 June 14, 2007, 08:56:24 PM Thanks for the clarification KBMUM.

Distributor orders are due with Artbox on Monday.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : allender June 19, 2007, 06:11:29 PM Artbox said the orders would be "scheduled to ship" to distributors June 28. I don't know the exact "release" date.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 21, 2007, 09:28:01 PM Well guys today is the 21st it is supposed to be a week today that OOTP ships but there has been no news at all. Has it been delayed or is it going to be shipped when they said. There has been no word from Artbox at all. Usually Tom get info but he doen't seem to know anything either when people ask him. Who knows what is happening ::)
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : terryweasley June 21, 2007, 11:27:45 PM I got an email from Tom Breyer requesting the payment for my case by Monday. It sounds like it isn't going to be too much longer before they go out.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 22, 2007, 12:46:45 AM That sounds very promising I am really looking forward to that set I am hoping for a master set of it ;D
I wonder if the Harry auto is a redemption card as the 3D set auto was as I would suppose he will return both autos together. Am quite excited about this set but that might be cause i can't wait to see the film ;D : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Nienna June 22, 2007, 04:21:49 AM I got the impression that Tom had til July on payment for boxes on order and I haven't heard anything else to the contrary yet ...
I have my fingers crossed that I still have bit more time before having to send a payment! ::) :o= : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : terryweasley June 22, 2007, 04:32:15 AM All I can tell you is he requested I make payment by Monday. I live in the United States, so maybe he's requested us to pay early.
I stand corrected it is Tuesday. Here is what he emailed me: HI $500 DUE BY TUESDAY FOR HARRY POTTER PHOENIX CASE AS I WILL BE > AWAY STARTING THE 27TH ,BUT CASE WILL SHIP AS SOON AS I GET THEM AS > TOM JR WILL BE HERE WHILE I AM AWAY THANKS TOM : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz June 22, 2007, 04:36:48 AM Jules - check he has your order, he's unlikely to do this country by country
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Nienna June 22, 2007, 04:39:02 AM Jules - check he has your order, he's unlikely to do this country by country hmmm good point, although I gave him my order at the same time as the boxes of 3D I bought from him so he might not have got around to mine just yet! ::)I'll email him to find out what's going on and keep those fingers tightly crossed I have a bit more time ... :-\ : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Galea June 22, 2007, 04:59:28 AM I can't believe we're getting this set so soon after 3D, bad for the wallet but it looks great ;D!
**I got the email too. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Nienna June 22, 2007, 05:51:22 AM I've just received confirmation on payment date too. ;)
I'm with you Janice - too many sets too close together and very bad for the wallet! ::) :-\ : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : HPfamily June 22, 2007, 06:10:08 AM I've just received confirmation on payment date too. ;) I'm with you Janice - too many sets too close together and very bad for the wallet! ::) :-\ *in Tweety Bird voice* VEEEEEEWY BAAAAAD!!!!! I also have Star Wars 30th to deal with in the next couple of weeks! *GULP* :( : Re: Order ofho the Phoenix card set chatter... : sweinar2005 June 26, 2007, 06:16:00 AM I just got a phone confirmation that OOTP would be arriving Tuesday Afternoon. However, I'm sure that the set won't officially be released until after July 11th which is the official release date for the movie in the US. T. breyer did email me and said He would need payment for any cases before tomorrow, otherwise Buyers would have to wait until he came back from vacation to recieve their shipments. And I agree this release and the 3d set were to close together. They should have pushed back the 3d release.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 26, 2007, 08:51:32 AM I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean that the OOTP cases will be arriving at Artbox's office on Tuesday or that Artbox is shipping to distributors on Tuesday?
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 27, 2007, 12:59:20 AM well if all info is correct it is just 2 days til artbox start shipping the cases to dealers and as usual no new info and no release date. We all are still guessing, I do think it is just not good at all, Artbox expect orders from dealers and collectors to be sorted without ever giving a firm date for release I am starting to get a bit fed up with it
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy June 27, 2007, 05:01:56 AM Does that mean that Tom and other distributors received the cases today and will ship this week? Or are the cases coming in next Tuesday?
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 27, 2007, 11:46:56 PM Is it just me or is this just madness tomorrow is the shipping date that artbox gave out and yet I haven't heard from them, I've not been charged for my shipment and I am pretty fed up with it.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gooniesguy June 28, 2007, 05:07:01 AM Hey,
I'm really getting fed up with this myself, but I thought I would pass along the fact that I just saw a listing on ebay that says "THE STREET RELEASE DATE IS JULY 13, 2007!" >:()here is the listing : http://cgi.ebay.com/HARRY-POTTER-THE-ORDER-OF-THE-PHOENIX-CARDS-HOBBY-BOX_W0QQitemZ250136902956QQihZ015QQcategoryZ219QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (http://cgi.ebay.com/HARRY-POTTER-THE-ORDER-OF-THE-PHOENIX-CARDS-HOBBY-BOX_W0QQitemZ250136902956QQihZ015QQcategoryZ219QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) I had got some as a gift.. but now they will be late if this date is right. I'm not sure why they can't just pick a date and stick with it, but I suppose it doesn't matter in the end because it's not going to stop be from buying I guess. Jeff : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 28, 2007, 05:12:41 AM Potomac is listing a ship date of July 6.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : allender June 28, 2007, 06:26:17 AM The only thing I can think of is that the studio might be playing hardball on having certain images seen before the film premieres, and Artbox couldn't talk them out of it. That seems even stranger since there's plenty of cards on the shelves in Germany and Italy already!
It makes a little bit of sense if the knowledge that certain prop cards exist might give something away, but I thought that's what the Update sets were for. It could explain a little bit about why we haven't heard as many details on the set, too. A change in the producer ranks at the film company can sometimes change the access of the card people. Pretty clearly, the Artbox pattern with this set and when it required payment from distributors followed the pattern of a company that planned to start shipping this week. It would be a shame if the "gang enjoyment" of the cards got overtaken completely by the distraction of Book 7! : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 28, 2007, 06:26:06 PM Just about all of Artbox's releases are delayed. The new 24 Season 5 set is now scheduled for mid-July. It makes me wonder if some of the problems are with the printers in Taiwan or customs here when the cases are shipped to Artbox. There's been a definite decrease in quality since they stopped using printers in the U.S. I'm tired of mis-cut and damaged cards.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter June 28, 2007, 07:45:46 PM I read somewhere that Artbox was shipping out cases to dealers today, have they been shipped or is that delayed ???
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 28, 2007, 08:35:41 PM We don't have official confirmation, but it looks as if the cases won't ship until mid-week next week.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz June 29, 2007, 01:30:52 AM It's possible that it is as simple as Artbox have just bitten off more than they can chew with HP3D and so many sets at once. They are only a very very small company, they might be backed up by a bigger company, but they can't draft in staff from Japan when things get busy.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum June 29, 2007, 01:43:41 AM To me, the first priority should have been getting OOTP out the door ahead of the movie. The 3D set could have waited until either between OOTP and OOTPU or after OOTPU.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy June 29, 2007, 05:16:31 AM Agreed. The new movie is the big thing, so the cards relating to that are the most important. They really did create a beautiful, quality product with 3D, but OOTP is what is the priority right now.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : bush360 June 29, 2007, 06:26:16 AM Agreed also the 3d set is beautiful but many cards are dated now, I mean the reap of Harrys Quiditch costume.
I am also looking forward to my OOTP but feel it will be my last large potter order as I would much prefer the DC Universe set from Rittenhouse or the Starwars 30th set, which I acctually will be collectiong myself. Rich : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 29, 2007, 04:13:33 PM I think that due to the timing of 3D and OOTP the 3D set wll be discovered by people later on and then it will be quite popular It is just really badly timed. The release date for OOTP is the 16th July and so there is some time to do some saving for people but because we were all waiting for an offical release date for OOTP people do not want to spend on 3d and then find out they could not get the cards they wanted from OOTP
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter June 29, 2007, 05:04:55 PM The release date for OOTP is the 16th July Chris, where did you find out about the release date for OOTP?: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 29, 2007, 05:55:00 PM this is the offical release date that I have had from Artbox
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : allender June 30, 2007, 06:38:04 PM Latest (possibly conflicting) word:
As you know, Artbox Entertainment will be shipping “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” trading cards and binders. This product will have a RELEASE DATE OF JULY 13TH . If you have any questions please call. If it's tied to the movie's release, they didn't take into account that the USA premiere was moved from July 13 to July 11. I've had enough "decisions" to make because of my need to be out of town that week!Thank you! Mike Simon Vice President Sales/Marketing & Licensing Artbox Entertainment The timing could have been even worse for the larger card community, but the releases for Buffy 10th Anniversary and Star Wars 30th Anniversary have slipped to July 18 and July 31, respectively. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli June 30, 2007, 07:00:45 PM so I spoke to artbox on Thursday afternoon and by friday afternoon there is another change in release date. At least it is earlier rater than later
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz June 30, 2007, 07:19:12 PM Phew! I'm so lucky not to have ever seen Buffy, and never to have 'got' star wars :P
Hooray for Potter. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : allender June 30, 2007, 07:50:40 PM and never to have 'got' star wars Teenage boy waving a wand, teenage girl with continuing bad hair days, old guy with a beard giving advice, short big-nosed character using magic to protect teenage boy hero. So what's the difference? ;DHooray for Potter. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : HPfamily June 30, 2007, 10:27:18 PM The timing could have been even worse for the larger card community, but the releases for Buffy 10th Anniversary and Star Wars 30th Anniversary have slipped to July 18 and July 31, respectively. Are you saying that SW has been changed to a release date of July 31? Where did you get that info? I haven't heard that anything had changed. I wish companies would pick a date and stick to it!! *sigh* ::) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : allender June 30, 2007, 10:49:03 PM Are you saying that SW has been changed to a release date of July 31? Where did you get that info? I haven't heard that anything had changed. I wish companies would pick a date and stick to it!! *sigh* ::) Oops, maybe it's a "never mind". Potomac had the release date for the *retail* set at July 31. They must have sold out for the hobby distribution. So that helps to underline the point I tried to make until I got confused ... that OOTP is competing directly for attention with SW 30th. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 July 01, 2007, 12:42:29 AM sorry to go off topic but last I heard from my dealer was SW30 was going to be out on the 25th (the first day of Comic Con...well, preview night)
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Galea July 01, 2007, 02:56:46 AM Oh well, here's (http://cgi.ebay.com/HARRY-POTTER-THE-ORDER-OF-THE-PHOENIX-T-C-HOBBY-BOX_W0QQitemZ150137825202QQihZ005QQcategoryZ73570QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) the first "HOBBY" box ("in hand" with "next day shipping!") on ebay. That's probably one of the German boxes. And it will probably sell. Someone will be veeery dissapointed to find no costume/prop/auto inserts ::).
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Tower July 01, 2007, 03:03:25 AM No, no, that's not a German box (no German writing on it, not 5 cards per pack), that's an original English Retail Box with 8 cards per pack (or is it 6 cards?). So we'll have Retail Boxes too, but there seem to be no Retail costumes this time. But bad auction, no "Hobby" inside ... >:()
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Nienna July 01, 2007, 03:07:56 AM No, I dont think it's the German set, it looks like the Artbox retail version to me. ;)
If you squint hard enough you can just make out 'Look for randomly inserted foil chase cards' on the yellow scroll and you're right, somebody will buy it expecting to pull something good and be extremely disappointed. :-\ : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy July 01, 2007, 03:19:35 AM I agree, it looks to be a retail box of OOTP.
I hope no one is fooled by the word "hobby." :-\ : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli July 01, 2007, 03:41:23 AM I assume that it has been changed already I am sure someone has emailed them it now says Retail
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Tower July 01, 2007, 03:45:52 AM That's good, seems to be a fair seller. Now the price has to change too ... ;D
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Galea July 01, 2007, 03:51:49 AM US Retail boxes? That only makes things a bit confussing :-\, back when POAU was out I remember buying a box or 2 that were supposed to be "HOBBY" boxes and turned out to be retail ones. Some sellers don't know the difference and end up listing them as hobby boxes too.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Nienna July 01, 2007, 04:17:54 AM I don't recall reading anything about there being a retail version of this set, although I shouldn't really be surprised given that Thomas has already posted info about a German language version. ::)
Was any info released about the retail version or did I blink and miss it?! :P I'm sure quite a few people are going to get their fingers burned the same way they did with the POAu set :( : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : jfer21 July 01, 2007, 04:30:31 AM I believe it was mentioned in the NSU somewhere around here. At least that there would be a retail version (different foils, though, I think).
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Nienna July 01, 2007, 04:37:35 AM ahhhh right, thanks Jennifer! As I don't read NSU then that might be why I didn't remember anything about this version then! LOL ::) ;)
I wonder if the retail foils will be similar to those in the German language version? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gooniesguy July 01, 2007, 08:25:48 AM I'm still somewhat new to collecting these cards.. so I have a question. With the retail cards being done and ready to ship, I guess we can assume the hobby are also done? Unless it's a delay for autographs or something? Or just delaying it for the release date of the movie?
Thanks, Jeff : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter July 01, 2007, 03:35:59 PM I think they have been done, my dealer in the US emailed me last night about my case and said that he was told by artbox that he should have his cases next friday 6th July, with a release date of the 16th.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter July 03, 2007, 04:54:05 PM Do we know yet, if Artbox has started shipping cases yet :o=
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli July 03, 2007, 10:05:15 PM Artbox have started shipping cases and the date for release in the USA is 13th July and now that cases have started shipping I am sure we will see some info on the set and the 13th is only a week friday.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : terryweasley July 03, 2007, 11:04:59 PM I got an email from Tom that my case shipped yesterday. He also said the official release date is July 13. With the 4th of July holiday, I probably won't get my case before Thursday or Friday. Will post further imfo when I get it.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : allender July 04, 2007, 06:34:23 AM The holidays sometimes don't count as a delay when stuff is in transit.
Last time, my UPS Ground shipment came a day earlier than predicted. So if the big trucks don't stop, I have a shot for Friday. Which would be _really_ nice because I have to fly out of town on Sunday. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Misty July 06, 2007, 01:25:42 AM I also had an email from Tom saying my case shipped Monday. The UPS man has been past my house today and didn't stop, so I can only guess that means I'll get it tomorrow.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli July 06, 2007, 01:30:48 AM I can confirm that cases have started to be received by distributors and with the US release date set for 13th July I doubt you will see anyone post scans until then
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : richscards July 08, 2007, 12:30:43 PM I too can confirm that cases are being received by distributors - and they are back to square cases again. No more of those impossible to ship double boxed rectangular cases...thank you Artbox!
Rich : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz July 08, 2007, 03:11:02 PM There's someone selling OOTP cards on ebay -
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=1738318&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%2F_W0QQsassZoulderhillQQhtZ-1 I know this guy, he's from the same village as my family (where I am this weekend), but I guess he must be in Birmingham with Chris if he got his cards from Memo. Chris were there many people with OOTP there? <EDIT> P.S. I've stolen his pictures for the price guide since they were so lovely  P.P.S. It only seems fair that I get something (images) back for the free plug I just gave him :P : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : The Razzer July 08, 2007, 11:41:04 PM Wow!!
Completely different designs for this set. Cards look good :D But isn't this gonna cause some problems, seeing as the release date is 13th July?? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : allender July 09, 2007, 01:33:19 AM But isn't this gonna cause some problems, seeing as the release date is 13th July?? Probably, but sometimes people don't "get the word" or they don't appreciate what the word means. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : richscards July 09, 2007, 02:03:55 AM I wouldn't expect Artbox to do anything about it. They don't seem have a problem with distributors who sell cases on ebay direct to consumers at wholesale prices, so why would they bother with a seller who releases the product early?
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Sharon July 09, 2007, 02:19:29 AM Personally I think Artbox know they have made a bit of a mistake with this set and just don't want to annoy the dealers/buyers any more than they already have. This was far, far to close to the 3d set and by the number of redemption's was not ready to ship. I think it will now just be damage limitation and letting the sellers do what they want. Yes this set sold out at Artbox but if the secondary market fails who knows how well the update will do :-\
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz July 09, 2007, 02:58:28 AM Yeah I thought that, I spoke to him and he makes the valid point that he bought the cards on the 'open market' in box form at Memo yesterday so he's not even the first seller of these cards.
I wonder whether there were a lot of dealers with OOTP at Memo - anyone? I'll be watching these, they're cheap too : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : terryweasley July 09, 2007, 03:40:24 AM I love the new card design. I hate it I can't bid on any of them since I'm waiting for my first case to arrive. It seems nienna may win alot of them. I am disappointed that so many of the student costume cards seem to be the same material. You'd think Artbox could use a little more imagination. Now I really can't wait for my case to arrive. I'll probably tackle the UPS man when he comes to the door.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Nienna July 09, 2007, 04:08:27 AM Ahhh hahaha I'm destined not to win any of them tonight Terry and good luck with your case when you get it! ;)
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : canny19 July 09, 2007, 08:17:54 AM Here are some pictures... just found this:
http://www.waynescomics.com/cards%20harry%20potter%20phx.htm : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy July 09, 2007, 10:52:55 AM Very cool! I love the Daily Prophet and Quibbler. The Ministry Bag is interesting as well.
Wonder how many of the autographs are redemptions... :-\ Thanks for posting, Canny! :) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli July 09, 2007, 01:18:42 PM I can tell you that there are 10 redemptions and 3 Autograph cards
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy July 09, 2007, 02:06:35 PM I can tell you that there are 10 redemptions and 3 Autograph cards :o I'm at a loss for words...quite literally. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli July 09, 2007, 03:45:51 PM I have to say I think you should ignore the fact that they are redemption cards, I know it is a pain sending them all off but I would rather have the set to coincide with the release of the film than have more delays cause the signers have not got their cards back to Artbox in time. Redemptions are just part of the programme I would much rather they were in there than there just be 3 signers for the set and not have 5 autos per case.
So in my opinion it is how you look at it I would say my glass is half full on this set and when you see it on friday you will love the set (or at least I do) I think itis the best Potter set yet and I think Artbox did a great job the props and costumes are beautiful : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 July 09, 2007, 06:40:08 PM Did someone mention that they went back to the old case shape?
Does this mean there is a chance we won't find case clusters like the last couple sets? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Tea_and_Fruit July 09, 2007, 07:04:42 PM Did someone know something about hotboxes? ;D
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli July 09, 2007, 07:16:10 PM The case shape has changed back although the card of the boxes is quite week I had a case that was a bit squashed but the cards were ok
as for clusters there are some noticable clusters of props but there seems to be variation on autos in those cases and out of all the cases I have opened there have been only a few that were totally the same. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 July 09, 2007, 08:16:12 PM great to hear gimli!
I cannot wait to hear about all the props. I wonder if there are any super low numbered ones? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz July 09, 2007, 11:33:06 PM No less than /100 - see http://www.theyakshack.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,5337.0.html
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bitsy July 09, 2007, 11:46:51 PM You make an excellent point--I think the word 'redemption' kind-of scares me because I have never dealt with it before (and that applies more so if it is a BIG auto, like one of the main three--I get scared it will get lost in transit). :-\
But I totally and completely agree--I would most certainly want the signers in there in some form than not have them at all. :) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 July 10, 2007, 12:07:32 AM Roz,
I noticed this on the page you just linked... P4 O.W.L. xxx/235 and xxx/335 can you explain that without breaking any of the pre release rules? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz July 10, 2007, 12:16:29 AM So far I've heard of cards stamped both ways.... I must assume it is a mistake, but it's difficult to know what's going on especially until some more boxes & cases have been opened
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli July 10, 2007, 01:05:53 AM I have pulled a few of those cards from my cases and the number does variey I have some stamped 235 and others of the same P4 card numbered 335. I am sure it will become clear as cases are opened and the info on the set is seen on Friday
I have 5 numbered 235 and 2 numbered 335 ??? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Sharon July 10, 2007, 01:09:08 AM I think these are probably like the Divination tablecloths, they had two different numbers.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz July 10, 2007, 01:50:46 AM ...and two images on the front - unlike this one.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : sweinar2005 July 10, 2007, 03:19:06 AM I wouldn't expect Artbox to do anything about it. No artbox won't do anything but Tom Breyer said because of the early posting he will no longer ship cases in advance of the release date. At least that was his response to the early postings. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz July 10, 2007, 03:33:09 AM I thought he said that after the 3D set...
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : sweinar2005 July 10, 2007, 03:46:44 AM I thought he said that after the 3D set... I had emailed him last night regarding the Master set Price and commented on early postings of the individual cards. His response was that he would not ship cases prior to the release date in the future as a result. Which I don't blame him. So its bad news for those sellers that purchase cards from him. >:( So don't expect early arrivals for the update set. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : almostmorning July 10, 2007, 03:55:59 AM I'm not a card expert but even i like the set, it looks really good when you flick through it! i'm sure Gimli will have many happy hours flicking through his master set ;)
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : gimli July 10, 2007, 04:13:39 AM Yeah I love this set, I think it is by far the nicest set Artbox have come out with
and what a set 13 autographs, 18 costumes, 12 props and 9 film cards to collect and they are all lovely : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Roz July 10, 2007, 04:37:49 AM I had emailed him last night regarding the Master set Price and commented on early postings of the individual cards. So its bad news for those sellers that purchase cards from him. >:( So don't expect early arrivals for the update set. In my experience there's never a set released without some disappointment for Tom, be it early listings, items that were supposed to be exclusive to him being listed by other people (stolen at the printers etc.) so I'd take it with a pinch of salt. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 10, 2007, 04:52:41 AM Maybe he meant that he would not ship cases early to those people who listed items before the official release date. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 10, 2007, 05:57:15 AM Thanks! I just got back from vacation and haven't caught up on all of the posts yet. :)
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : terryweasley July 10, 2007, 04:05:41 PM I've opened five boxes from my case, and the only pattern I've noticed it that I got an Albus Dumbledore Auto card in the same box with his costume card. I also got an Umbridge Costume card in the same box with her office curtain prop card. Other than that I'm extremely pleased with the cards I've pulled so far. Can't believe the Albus Dumbledore Auto card is going for so much on :ebay:
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Misty July 10, 2007, 07:49:49 PM Yes, I had the same pattern in my case. The Dumbledore auto and costume were in the same box, and the Umbridge curtain prop and costume were in the same box. I FINALLY got a Daniel Radcliffe auto (redemption, but still...) The box with the Radcliffe auto also had the rarer Cho costume (tie) and a film card - so it was my favorite box! I was well pleased with my case. Just waiting to list it in the breakdowns section Friday.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Misty July 10, 2007, 08:02:35 PM Also, I got the DA version of the case topper, but it says CT2. It is listed in the breakdowns section as CT1 but it isn't, I guess that means the Aurors one is CT1.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 10, 2007, 08:07:22 PM That was my error when typing in the list. I'll fix it. Thanks for the head's up!
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Geek Boy July 10, 2007, 09:10:24 PM Just had a look at the 'case breakdown' thread - there's a heck of a lot of redemptions for this set. You expect a handful but not 10! So there were 6 redemptions for the COS set and now 10 for this. Considering the amount of time they've had to prepare for this set I think that's a bit cheeky really. And you can bet that some of those redemptions won't be available for a while.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 July 11, 2007, 12:46:58 AM WOOOO HOOOOO
My dealer just let me know he is shipping today and since I live in the same state my two cases will be here tomorrow. Going to go see OOTP tonight at 11:59 and then spending tomorrow opening boxes. It doesn't get any better than that! :o= Harry Auto :o= : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter July 12, 2007, 12:38:29 AM My dealer shipped my order yesterday, and it has got international dispatch at 7.33am Sanfransico time, I wonder why though it takes 2 days to arrive here in the UK, when it only takes a maximum of 9 hours flight time, does the planes go via austrailia??
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 12, 2007, 12:50:40 AM You need to take into account time spent at the US facility where the parcels are sorted by country, the number of flights carrying mail to the UK on that particular day, and the time it takes for parcels to be sorted and scanned at the UK facility. It isn't as simple as hopping on a plane and picking up your luggage at the baggage claim at the end of the flight.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter July 12, 2007, 12:53:11 AM ah yes I have never thought about it like that :P, I should hopefully get it early next week as there will most like be a customs charge to pay before parcel force will send it out and there is a postal strike in the UK on friday :'(

i never said this i said anyone i sell to that lists early will not get shipped till release date tom : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter July 12, 2007, 04:05:25 AM The postal strike begins on Thursday July 12 and continues over and includes Friday July 13th too! :-\ I thought the parcel strike starts at 7pm on thursday and throughout friday.: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Nienna July 12, 2007, 04:11:48 AM Well, 7pm is still Thursday ...
Tom - thanks for clarifying things for us. It sounds like different people have interpreted what you've told them in slightly different ways which would account for the variation in what they think you've said and what you've actually told them. ;) Such is human nature I guess ... : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : TOMUNIQUE July 12, 2007, 04:22:16 AM YES VERY TRUE..
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Jon July 12, 2007, 10:33:07 AM This set looks wonderful. I like the new look of the verticle cards. If anyone sees a last number card from this set on ebay, please send me a PM. I appreciate it!
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : ECL July 13, 2007, 05:05:16 AM the scans of the daily prophet cards i've seen on ebay look strange, the picture of the prophet on the card is blurred out, which ruins the card for me. Also, the picture looks like it may be from a behind the scenes photo i recall seeing a long time ago. I love the daily prophet cards, and hope the pictures i'm seeing on ebay arent all like that !
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 July 13, 2007, 05:24:42 AM I see what you mean ECL, the Prophet McGonagle is holding definetly looks blurred out...very strange that Artbox would choose a photo like that to put on the card.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 13, 2007, 05:26:31 AM Part of the headline is blurred out on the card. There must have been some contractual reason for Warner Bros. to require this, maybe because the headline was revealing part of the plot that they didn't want released prior to the movie (which is why update sets are produced). I'm a bit baffled about why Artbox would produce two Daily Prophets for the set when they could have had one for OOTP and the other for OOTPU.
For those who have seen the movie, can anyone verify whether the picture on the card appears in the movie? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : HPfamily July 13, 2007, 05:40:39 AM For those who have seen the movie, can anyone verify whether the picture on the card appears in the movie? Also I think this set looks great, and really looking forward to receiving my cases : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 13, 2007, 05:51:21 AM Well, you can refer back to the replies to your post with the same question about the delivery of your 3D boxes.

Yes I remember it, it was only a brief shot of McG reading the paper towards the end of the movie. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 13, 2007, 06:33:58 AM Yes I remember it, it was only a brief shot of McG reading the paper towards the end of the movie. That explains some things. The headline reads that Voldemort has returned, and that must have been plot info WB didn't want released prior to the movie (remember that this set was originally supposed to ship earlier than it did). This should also confirm that the newspaper used is different than the one used for the P10 Daily Prophet prop. Thanks, Trey! :D : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : HPfamily July 13, 2007, 06:38:30 AM For those who have seen the movie, can anyone verify whether the picture on the card appears in the movie? WB is very propriety about its licenses and images. I'm just saying that Artbox wouldn't voluntary blur part of an image on a card -- they had to have been told by WB to do so. Had this prop been held for the update set, the image probably wouldn't not have been blurred.
There are plenty of people who are interested in the movies, not the books. Not everyone wants to read them, although I personally think one can get more from the movies by reading the books first. I've read all of the books multiple times, yet I still get aggravated when important info is left out of the movies. My husband hasn't read the books (FYI - he is not illiterate) and enjoys the movies, but I often have to provide him with details from the books so that certain movie plot aspects make sense. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : The Razzer July 13, 2007, 07:09:15 PM i didn't mean to be rude with my comment. :-[
it is very true what you say about books and movies. stuff does get left out which maybe should be included, i would be quite happy to sit through a 4 hour movie of the HP books, but i'm sure younger fans would not, or indeed the older fan. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 13, 2007, 07:12:59 PM I think extended versions should be released on DVD. I was just reading online yesterday that the Pensieve scene with Snape and Harry was originally going to include Lily, along with James and Sirius, but they had to cut Lily from the scene. I'd love to see that kind of stuff on the DVD. :)

Oh well, who knows.... : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 July 13, 2007, 09:24:50 PM I think it is blurring just because WB said to blur it.
The top of the Paper where the Prophet logo is easily visble, and the part that is blurred contains no photos, it just says in big bold print HE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED HAS RETURNED (or something like that) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 13, 2007, 10:06:10 PM The P9 card is the Ministry Munchies prop. What is this and when is it seen in the movie?
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 July 14, 2007, 12:19:20 AM lol I thought that since I pulled mine.
I have to imagine when Harry goes to the Ministry there are people walking around carrying it. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 14, 2007, 12:43:43 AM I wondered if it's a Weasley product designed to irritate Umbridge.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : HPfamily July 14, 2007, 02:27:20 AM Maybe someone carried it into the Hogs Head after shopping in Hogsmeade. :-\
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : blackcat20 July 14, 2007, 06:53:46 PM Talk about slow...I only just noticed that there are no film cell cards ::)
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : The Razzer July 14, 2007, 07:37:18 PM if you mean the CFC numbered film cell cards, then there are these cards inserted in the OOTP set.
there's loads on ebay to take a look at. or do you mean something else?? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : ricks July 14, 2007, 11:55:53 PM Does anyone remember when the Umbridge’s Progress Report (P6) appeared during the film? I just remember Umbridge asking a bunch of questions and tapping on her clipboard...
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : LikORish-Spider July 15, 2007, 04:50:09 AM The talking letter that Harry got at the Dursleys informing him he was suspended would have made great Prop Cards.
The PROMO sets of four come in the following colors: Gold Silver Green Pale Blue (Looks almost like silver, very subtle color) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : allender July 15, 2007, 06:14:12 AM Does anyone remember when the Umbridge’s Progress Report (P6) appeared during the film? I just remember Umbridge asking a bunch of questions and tapping on her clipboard... It could have been on the clipboard, and "used" in the film but only for a single frame, or the scene might be on the cutting room floor. I know of one card set where an actor signed loads of autograph cards before the studio cut all of his scenes out of the film.Actually, there were a few places in the cards where I thought they provided information from the books that weren't in the movie. Not to mention the character name given for Jim McManus' autograph, which wasn't in the movie or the movie credits or confirmed by the books or Jo ... There were quite a few costume cards with "material used in the making of" instead of "worn by." Perhaps there weren't enough worn items available early, to cut into 8000 swatches? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : blackcat20 July 15, 2007, 06:21:24 AM if you mean the CFC numbered film cell cards, then there are these cards inserted in the OOTP set. there's loads on ebay to take a look at. or do you mean something else?? ok, so im not slow, just blind  i havent noticed a single one on ebay but im not looking too hard at the moment ::) : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : ferdinand_the_yak July 17, 2007, 10:26:19 PM I pulled two CFCs so they are definitely in there ;)
Now I have a question: for those of you who have a /100 Death Eater mask prop, what kind of material is it? I got the impression that it was some sort of fabric when watching the movie. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : terryweasley July 17, 2007, 10:38:30 PM When I saw the cards on :ebay:, I thought the masks were mother of pearl. I have one of the Ci3 Bella Lestrange Deatheater Mask, and the mask appears to be metal. I haven't seen the movie yet, so I have no idea what it looks like on screen.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : ferdinand_the_yak July 17, 2007, 10:46:16 PM Ah, well when Lucius waves his away, it looks like fabric. Metal makes more sense. Thanks Terry!
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Jon July 18, 2007, 12:04:35 AM I have always thought they were metal. I hope they are, anyway.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 18, 2007, 12:26:12 AM It's possible that the different masks are made from different materials -- leather, metal, and fabric. I saw one on eBay that appeared to be leather, but it's hard to tell from a scan.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Bryanjs14 July 18, 2007, 01:29:46 AM I have a P7 that is metal, a very thin metal.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : potter July 18, 2007, 03:50:15 PM I want to say well done to everyone who pulled a Harry Potter redemption card :D I didn't have one in my 1st case that arrived on monday but I did sell 3 boxes so I wonder if one was in their ::).
Luckly I have got 1 case + 5 boxes to come from parcel force tomorrow after paying my custome charge online so fingers crossed I can pull one tomorrow, I will post breakdowns tomorrow. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : ferdinand_the_yak July 18, 2007, 05:11:43 PM Is anyone else surprised at the number of Harrys that have been pulled?
Maybe he's the Flitwick of the set? :P Or have Yak Shackers just been extraordinarily lucky? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 18, 2007, 05:27:05 PM I'm very surprised about the number of Harry redemptions. Personally, I think it's great that more people have a chance of pulling the auto, and I hope that trend continues with the rest of the sets.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : ferdinand_the_yak July 18, 2007, 05:47:19 PM I'd like to see a few more Hermiones in that case ;) They seem to be the rarest of the set so far.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Geek Boy July 18, 2007, 10:29:26 PM It could have been on the clipboard, and "used" in the film but only for a single frame, or the scene might be on the cutting room floor. I know of one card set where an actor signed loads of autograph cards before the studio cut all of his scenes out of the film. There was a card like that in the Star Trek: Insurrection set. The lady who played the librarian didn't appear in the final cut of the film but her auto still made it in to the trading card set. As for Bellatrix's mask, I'm not even sure I remember seeing her wearing it in the film. Maybe I missed it but she sidles up behind Lucius in the prophecy archive and her face isn't covered. I suppose she could have been one of the other DE's as they make their way through the racks. The card I have of her mask doesn't have any pattern, it's just a pale metallic gold colour but it appears to be thin metal. Could even be foil... : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 18, 2007, 11:02:37 PM A lot of her work on the film was cut (and supposedly will not be added to the DVD), so it's very possible that the mask never appeared in the film. Ah, so many things to remember to look for when I see the movie Saturday! :)
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Geek Boy July 19, 2007, 03:00:35 AM A lot of her work on the film was cut (and supposedly will not be added to the DVD), so it's very possible that the mask never appeared in the film. Ah, so many things to remember to look for when I see the movie Saturday! :) I guess they could start a trend of adding bits into the hi-def versions of the films (and not the regular DVD's) in an effort to boost interest in the format. That would kick up a stink for sure... I'm pretty sure there were only four signatures on the DA Parchment when the camera panned to it and yet the image on the card shows a full list of names... : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Jon July 19, 2007, 05:10:12 AM There were all the names when it was stuck to the mirror in the Room of Requirement. We just didnt see everyone sign the parchment.
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 19, 2007, 05:23:23 AM Do either of you remember seeing the Ministry Munchies bag?
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : mcgonagall July 19, 2007, 06:24:42 AM i ahve no idea what it is either but thought i must have missed something in the movie
: Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Jon July 19, 2007, 07:25:30 AM Do either of you remember seeing the Ministry Munchies bag? I never saw (nor did I really look for it), but I would assume that multiple witches and wizards may be carrying them in the huge Ministry entrance scene. : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : Geek Boy July 19, 2007, 03:22:47 PM Do either of you remember seeing the Ministry Munchies bag? No - wasn't looking to be honest, too busy being in awe of the amazing set they built for that sequence! I think that will have to be a freeze frame for the DVD. But I didn't see Minerva reading the Prophet either and that's on the front of one of the prop cards. I know we complain about Artbox but it must be hard getting approval for the props and autos only to find Warner aren't happy with the image or it gets cut from the film. Hopefully we'll get Umbridge's 'torture' quill in the update. And her auto. When is the update set due BTW? : Re: Order of the Phoenix card set chatter... : kbmum July 19, 2007, 05:30:00 PM I think Minerva is seen reading the Daily Prophet for a few seconds near the end of the movie. Oooooh, an Umbridge quill would be great! We don't have a firm date about the update set (even if we did, it probably wouldn't hold true anyway). The last I heard, it was October.
