When I went to a show in London last year, I was repeatedly asked if I had brought any Harry Potter sketch cards. I didn't, and I felt like an imbecile. I LOVE the books, think the films are great fun, and yet had never drawn any of the characters. So i've done a few, and tonight I feel like I REALLY nailed these likeness. If anyone else has Harry Potter sketch cards, lets post them here!

GOD They're brilliant :o, I love their hair/eyes! They're so beautiful and detailed. Out of curiosity, how long did it take to finish one of these?

They are absolutely gorgeous  :-*.  That is probably the best Hermione I have ever seen - lots of the pictures seem to have problems with her jawline but you have got it perfectly.  I can't wait to see who is next  ;D ;D

I'm blown away! I love them! In fact... please get right back to the drawing board to show us more :D Dan's eyes are amazing.

okay... this thread is TONS of fun! What AMAZING cards! That Staggs Dumbledor is simply drop-dead beautiful, and all those Martineks (spelling?) are breathtaking! I am totally going to do more of these.... they are too fun to not be drawing them!!!

Well, I did one a night, over three consequitvie nights. Ron went fast, REALLY fast. I got the pencils right the first time, went straight to color, and was done in under 2 hours. Hermoine was the first one i did, and I had a hard time getting the pencils right; finally decided to go to color, promising myself I'd fix any problems there... Harry was the same. Harry and Hermoine were maybe 3 hours each? And that doesn't include all the time I spend on the internet, finding pictures, or doing frame grabs from my dvds.

wow i wish i had that talent and i love all the sketch cards  i know what i would love to see on some sketch cards  and that is the animals of harry potter  hedwig, scabbers, buckbeak, norbert , crookshank , mrs norris  fawkes

i think that set would be fantastic

Allison, your cards are nothing short of stunning!  :o I feel like I am seeing Harry, Hermione, and Ron in real life! They are so accurate! I have always wondered how to put color to a sketch and make it look so real, like the skin and hair and such.  How on earth do you make it look so incredibly life-like?

I have no idea... I just draw what i see!

Those are beautiful!  I'd love to see some other characters, like Professor McGonagall, Remus Lupin, and Sirius Black. :)  Darla Ecklund did this one for me a while back.

Mike!  :o :o :o Your sketches are amazing! Love the Sirius sketch! The Death Eaters sketch is totally perfect--it captures the fear you feel when you think of a Death Eater--their faces are so spooky that they are perfect! KEEP SKETCHING, please.  :o=

I agree with Cindy--Artbox should look at all of these amazing sketches and create a Harry Potter sketch Card set! I for one would be there to buy!  :)

the DeathEaters look AWESOME!!!! and I recall seeing that Hermoine before,and being bowled over by it. Not only is it a great sketch; but that border treatement is ingenious!

And the cuddly little puppies, Luna and Tonks (love the names) are absolutely adorable!  :D

I REALLY want to dye the white bits on Tonks purple, but fear that the animal rights folks would have something to say about it!

Well Boggy (and Santa  ;)) had a wonderful surprise for me on Christmas morning - the nine card Allison Sohn panel!  I opened Draco first (they were wrapped separately) and thought it looked familiar but once I opened Dumbledore I knew exactly what I had  ;D ;D.  So a huge thank you to Boggy and Allison - they are even more gorgeous in the flesh  ;D ;D ;D

No not at all  ;D  The really good thing is that as soon as you posted the scans I was saying Graham how gorgeous they were!  And he didn't say a thing!!  So the best Oscar goes to ...... :rofl:

Actually I didn't guess straight away as he also got me some Cat Staggs sketches which were intermingled just to throw me off the scent.  For someone who has never collected sketch cards, with these and my birthday ones I now have quite a stash  ;D

A couple of days ago, there were several HP sketch cards on eBay by an artist named Richard Salvucci.  They all looked great, so I bid and fortunately won a Sirius sketch.  Since the artist lives about an hour from me, I received the card today. :)  I think it's gorgeous!  I don't know whether the people who won the Harry, Ron, and Hermione sketches are members here, but if they are, I hope they post scans. :)
