Finally this guy has put a reasnoble price on his cards!
I was beginning to worry as he was buying lots of cards for lots of money then selling really cheaply.
This has to be the finest master set up yet. I think alot of the value of these prop cards will be based on the quality of swatch rather than the card itself and this is one fine collection.
Now if he only had the pear tree leaf...

I doubt the paper would have said permission on it twice, especially not in capitals...

Maybe they used more than one copy in the prop cards - I am certain they would have duplicates of most of the main props in the HP movies like in LOTR where they had many copies of the 'One Ring'

He would easily get $4000 if he did - frog, imps, lick-o-rish, bon-bons, candy, variant honeydukes, hermione and sirius - at least $300 each

Crazy collectors would easily push prices up in separate  auctions.

Yes, it would be clever to sell it seperately.

But maybe he has reasons, i don´t know.  To much work for example. I think he has thought about it.

He must think they are worth more as a set.  Come on everyone would find time to list them seperately if they thought they could get more from it.

Looks like the seller has listed the set for the third time, without a reserve.  So this time it will sell.  Its a good looking set with some nice variants, so it will be nice to see what it goes for.

According to ebay, they (ebay) have removed all reserve prices from auctions excluding cars, houses etc.

Not sure about the reason for this... ???

I'm going to flaunt my stupidity here, but I've never understood the concept of a reserve.  Why not set the opening bid to the lowest price that the seller is willing to part with the item?

Because then you have to pay a higher listing fee if you start it higher.  Whereas if I start it at 9.99 with a reserve of $200, I am charged for the reserve of $200, but it goes towards the final auction value if it meets reserve, and in the past you could relist it once for free if it didn't meet reserve, but you had to lower your reserve.  Plus a lower price attracts people and creates a bidding frenzy.  Generallhy I just start low, and let people decide what its worth, but once in a while I will put a reserve.

Thanks, ztaylork.  I've bought off eBay for years, but have yet to sell anything.  Now I understand a bit why sellers complain so much about the fees!
