Sonarghost, I am guesssing you're gonna put a bid in... you master set collector, you! ;) Anyone want to go halves with me? ;D : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : Tower August 01, 2004, 10:36:24 PM Wow, very awesome. :o Really great cards.
: Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : greenpaw August 02, 2004, 04:46:43 AM Finally this guy has put a reasnoble price on his cards!
I was beginning to worry as he was buying lots of cards for lots of money then selling really cheaply. This has to be the finest master set up yet. I think alot of the value of these prop cards will be based on the quality of swatch rather than the card itself and this is one fine collection. Now if he only had the pear tree leaf... : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : Roz August 02, 2004, 04:58:15 AM Hee hee hee!
: Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : ferdinand_the_yak August 02, 2004, 10:30:21 AM Come on Roz, you know you want to finish your set - well here's your chance! ;D
: Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : mcgonagall August 02, 2004, 10:55:26 AM I want the george auto
: Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : popple August 02, 2004, 01:12:59 PM I saw another permission slip card on ebay.Is it possible to have two cards with the same swatch???????????
HARRY POTTER PROP CARD*PERMISSION SLIP* Harry Potter Prop card #/100 (only 100 cards produced) Item number: 6110744980 : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : Roz August 02, 2004, 01:53:18 PM Or do you think they just stole the pic?
But they talk about it as a feature of the card - I would be wary and email to confirm I doubt the paper would have said permission on it twice, especially not in capitals... : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : ferdinand_the_yak August 02, 2004, 03:30:32 PM Maybe they used more than one copy in the prop cards - I am certain they would have duplicates of most of the main props in the HP movies like in LOTR where they had many copies of the 'One Ring'
Huh. So much for the 'One' Ring ;D : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : Roz August 02, 2004, 03:32:51 PM Good point!
Takes something away from it to know there are 2 "per"s out there tho : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : Tower August 08, 2004, 05:49:03 PM Reserve not met.
Now Kyo goes in the next round. ;) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=73570&item=6112267160 What are you thinking? Will he get his expected prize? : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : ferdinand_the_yak August 08, 2004, 05:55:45 PM *sending thought vibes to kyo*
'sell them separately, sell them separately, sell them separately' He would easily get $4000 if he did - frog, imps, lick-o-rish, bon-bons, candy, variant honeydukes, hermione and sirius - at least $300 each Crazy collectors would easily push prices up in separate auctions. : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : Tower August 08, 2004, 06:55:45 PM Yes, it would be clever to sell it seperately.
But maybe he has reasons, i don“t know. To much work for example. I think he has thought about it. : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : beckham1 August 11, 2004, 02:38:34 AM He must think they are worth more as a set. Come on everyone would find time to list them seperately if they thought they could get more from it.
Sometimes I wonder about this guy? I don't see my honeydukes variant he bought from me in this lot, he BIN $200 from me. : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : ferdinand_the_yak August 15, 2004, 02:16:36 PM How many master sets does this guy have???? :o :o :o
Selling FOTR/FOTRU ($2700 start $5500 BIN), TT/TTU ($1500 start) and ROTK/ROTKU ($2700 start, $6500 BIN) Why would ROTKU be worth $1000 more than FOTR??? ??? Explain away please... 8) : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : ztaylork August 17, 2004, 09:34:32 PM Looks like the seller has listed the set for the third time, without a reserve. So this time it will sell. Its a good looking set with some nice variants, so it will be nice to see what it goes for.
ztaylork : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : ferdinand_the_yak August 17, 2004, 09:45:15 PM According to ebay, they (ebay) have removed all reserve prices from auctions excluding cars, houses etc.
Not sure about the reason for this... ??? : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : kbmum August 17, 2004, 11:36:22 PM I'm going to flaunt my stupidity here, but I've never understood the concept of a reserve. Why not set the opening bid to the lowest price that the seller is willing to part with the item?
: Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : ztaylork August 18, 2004, 04:45:57 AM Because then you have to pay a higher listing fee if you start it higher. Whereas if I start it at 9.99 with a reserve of $200, I am charged for the reserve of $200, but it goes towards the final auction value if it meets reserve, and in the past you could relist it once for free if it didn't meet reserve, but you had to lower your reserve. Plus a lower price attracts people and creates a bidding frenzy. Generallhy I just start low, and let people decide what its worth, but once in a while I will put a reserve.
ztaylork : Re:Master set for sale..Great cards!!! : kbmum August 18, 2004, 05:37:19 PM Thanks, ztaylork. I've bought off eBay for years, but have yet to sell anything. Now I understand a bit why sellers complain so much about the fees!
