It might be a lovely 27 degrees at present (somehow this doesn't seem at all hot - what's it like in people's offices? It's a good job it's mild because I dismantled the fan ages ago :rofl: (I thought it was a sure-fire way of predicting a new heatwave)).

We are expecting the tail end of something nasty this evening across Britain especially down by Devon and Cornwall so don't leave a window open; especially if you have nice old fashioned ones that will bang open and closed all night, ensure to bring the washing in (well... some trusting people might like to leave their washing out overnight *shrugs*), and make sure your pets are comfortable ;D Our buddies in Florida might regard this as a 'light wind' but we aren't used to gales ;D

27 degrees? Ok - you must be using a different way of measuring temperature, because 27 degrees is below freezing! And who in their right mind leaves the windows open when it's freezing outside?

It's about 60 degrees here in Pennsylvania - kind of chilly, definately light jacket weather, but not too bad yet. I like it between 75 and 85 best. If only I could find that climate year-round, I'd move :) Well, except for the job-thing and the kids.... Not moving till their done school.

Yup - Celsius. I think the only point at which Celsius are the same as Fahrenheit is at -40. My Dad always uses Fahrenheit. The benefit of Celsius is that freezing point is zero and boiling point is 100. I'm not fluent in Kelvin (the temperature scale of clever people :(... well I know where zero is... and absoloute zero, and that's it... but I'm a realist and it doesn't get that cold on planet Earth ;D... not at the moment at any rate).

In your language it's around 81, so not hot, not cold, just pleasant :) although it will be cooler tomorrow I expect after the storm :(

27 Celsius...Roz that's a bloody heat wave compared to here now...we are around 17.....or 64 for our American cousins....Mo

Well it was pretty hot in work today but the wind is really picking up here now  ;D (yes I like a nice breeze  ;D)

24C and windy here in Melbourne too....almost enough to have trouble staying on your feet. and people are being advised to make sure all posessions are secure before they go to work...

Very heavy rain & wind last night & early this morning but seems to have calmed down a bit now (Fringe of London  ;D )

Ouch. Not the perfect day for all those layers then Jo  :-\ - at least you didn't have to contend with the wind whistling through your mortarboard :rofl:

They did pick the perfect day for it! A suit, a Harry Potter-esque graduation gown and a sweat enhancing mortarboard trencher :P
