: Post Delays

Since the recent security scare with UK planes going to the US I have found the post from the US to be virtually non-existant. Has anyone else in the UK had any problems? I'm wondering how this will affect case orders in the forseeable future.

I have had 4 large parcels delivered from the States since the "big day" and although I'd say they took a couple of days longer than normal it's not been too bad. I don't think you should worry too much about case purchases :)

I've had several smaller parcels too, but I think those are taking almost twice as long - at LEAST 6 days :(

You aren't the only one waiting on your US post to be delivered Graham, as I had about 10 days or so when nothing at all arrived when I was expecting it, and it's only been this past week that items have started trickling through. I also believe that the Customs staff are working on Sundays to try and shift the backlog of mail, as some of the packets have had Sunday-dates stamped on them when I've received & checked them! ::) :P

I've not had any large boxes/cases sent over from the US like Roz, but the smaller stuff has recently been getting through pretty much as normal - I had another one of Tom's super-fast packets delivered to me in 3 days, but most other US mail has taken between 5-10 days, depending which State they've been posted from. ;)
However ... I am currently waiting on a parcels arriving which were posted around when the security issues first started, and it's anyone's guess where they are and when they'll be delivered. :-[
It must be getting up for 6 weeks now since I paid for these things and I'm wondering if they've either been stolen or buried at the very bottom of this heap of items and I'm getting rather concerned as to their whereabouts. :-\
I've also noticed a larger proportion of the items I have received have been rubber-stamped through Customs, which means more delays .... :(

The mail from the U.S. even to Canada has slowed greatly...bought a Tie Set from Tomunique, and his deliveries to me took on average of 4-5 days took just on 2 weeks to get here, and we don't live that far from each other...Mo

OOh and I did get something from Cali (in a box, not tiny, but not big either) that was posted on the Friday and arrived on the Tuesday after the bank holiday :o I was amazed :D

hee hee well it was our bank holiday not theirs, so their postal services would be as normal!  ;) :P
It's about face this weekend cos it's their Labor Day holiday, so items sent from the US will be delayed because of that.  ::)

The post is running long from England to the United States as well.  Mark & Roz have sent out a package to me several weeks ago and I still am on the lookout for it.   :o=

I take it back, I have one parcel coming in this direction that's taking an AGE, and another America-bound that is taking just as long. It's not funny!

Although things from Germany are arriving blisteringly fast - hats off to Tower he keeps his postal system in good order ;)
