: If you read the Narnia books......
: rns91294 August 08, 2006, 05:40:02 AM
Help!  I just finished the fourth book, Prince Caspian.  The last line of the book is Edmond saying :Bother, I left my torch in Narnia!".  I have no clue what he is talking about!!!!  What did he leave behind?  I can't figure out what he got there that was new.  Is this a British thing I just don't get, or was there really a torch somewhere that I missed?  Can someone please help me figure this one out?  I hate to end a book and not get the last line of it :-\  Other than that, I really liked it though :)

Isn't a torch a flashlight?

He does have a flashlight in the beginning!!!  That would make great sense.  Now I need to go skim that part of the book again ::)  Thanks!

UPDATE.  Just read the beginnig again where he had the flashlight, and they call it an electric torch.  I read a chapter a day, so I guess that detail seemed minor enough for me to forget :P  Anyway, he got it a week before this adventure began for his birthday.

I feel much better now ;)  Thanks to Cindy for saving the day!!!!!  ;D
