: Claiming on Paypal : Martyn July 03, 2006, 12:50:31 AM I bought a card from a company about 2 months ago. A month later the card had not turned up. So I e-mailed the compnay and they said there company policy is to wait 2 months before they issue a refund incase there is a delay as customes or anything like that.
I thought it was a trusting company but 2 months has just gone up a few days ago and I have e-mailed them about 5 times and thry have not replyed when they would normally reply that day or the next. The card was worth about $100 and I can't affod to loose that money. If I put a claim in with Paypal would they look into it or as it is past 30 days will they just ignore it? : Re: Claiming on Paypal : Anna July 03, 2006, 01:08:25 AM I'm not sure if you can still file a claim or not. I looked up the time limit on PayPal and it states that you can file within 45 days of the transaction. :-\ Maybe you should contact their customer service department for help.

BOYCOTT----Oh Wait, That wasn't me was it.  Why not post there name as a warning to the rest of us. Some places post retalitory feedback if you tell the sad truth about them. Was it insured? : Re: Claiming on Paypal : Morningangel-Iola July 05, 2006, 04:14:25 AM You don't think the company has the two months on purpose so its out of the range :-\
: Re: Claiming on Paypal : SabeanQueen July 05, 2006, 04:01:53 PM Martyn, if you funded the payment through a credit card you can still do a chargeback through your provider :)
: Re: Claiming on Paypal : bush360 July 05, 2006, 08:17:32 PM Talking from a dealer point of view I always keep the certificate of posting incase this happens so I can prove I have sent the package. Also I make sure if the item is over £30 I charge the extra for insurance, If this were in the 45 day period paypal would request proof from the Seller and act on that in my example when I have produced this for paypal and the customer they are usually happy as they know it was posted. If however the seller cant prove shipping he would be required to refund the individual.
Fortunately in over 4000 deals I have only had one package go missing and it was to Paris and only worth £5. I think your best option is to go through your Credit card company. : Re: Claiming on Paypal : SabeanQueen July 07, 2006, 01:28:18 PM Agree with Rich, I have a shop on ebay and sell paperweights to feed my sci-fi and Marvel habit and the insurance is for the seller's benefit rather than the buyer incase of wrongful chargebacks, but your seller has really let you down OP. Good luck, I hope you get your money back, it's obtaining money through deception and in the UK the police would be involved.
Still report them as a non performing seller through ebay here http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/contact_us/_base/index_2.html?item=&topic=index_2&continue=Continue+%3E Select problems with sellers or buying, you paid but didnt receive the item, (continue) and then click on the 'email us' link and fill in the details. Dont forget to add such details as they told you wait for two months taking you out of your protection time limit. If the seller get's too many non-perfomance strikes he's removed from ebay, like a non-payer if they fail to pay too many times (twice I think). |
