Being Rittenhouse Archives spilled the beans also, though I would show my card that is on the site.  I am working on the Complete Avengers Card set coming out this October.  Along with great artists like Cat Staggs, Grant Gould, Jim Kyle, Jeff Chandler and many others thought at being I haven't seen a topic for this made yet that you guys would like to check it out.

As comics are my 2nd collecting love definately be getting me a preorder on these beauties. Now just to decide on 2 or 6 cases that Stan lee prospect is to much to bear.  :o

Well I knocked 4 cases of Lost revelations on the head yesterday so maybe I can convince my brother to put the cashflow towards these cases instead.  :o=

I really think that this set is going to be the best thing since sliced bread!

Oh no! It's not out til Oct and I'm already getting excited. But it's clashing with LOTR Masterpieces (I think Avengers will get more of my money), and Chamber of Secrets (well ... forget that! I'm in Potter overload at the mo and what with MM coming out as well, it's too much for me).... Avengers is the serious set for me ;)

Rich, I think that would be a great use of the cash you have released from buying LOST ;D. I love the show, but I think for cards you'll have more fun opening this set ;D... and think of the 6 case incentive.

I hope Tialessa or Joanna, or some of the other sketch-loving lasses come in here to support me soon, I feel that Marvel might be a bit boyish... it feels lonely in this camp at the mo  :-\

I am having a real debate with myself at the moment I have got 7 cases of masterpieces on order with the premise if it isnt as good as Evo I will sell the majority of the boxes. With the avengers I will defo be going for 6 cases but will probably sell 4 cases worth just to get the 3 cat staggs and the stan lee. I hadnt even thought of COS but I will find some room for that I am sure but probably only 3 cases. I will take another 5 weeks and Memorabilia to be clear of my GOFU stuff. THen there will be Star wars Evo Update in the mean time. All I can say is SOUND !!!!!!!!  ;D

I'm very excited about the set, but I'll have to decide which set (LOTR or Avengers) gets more of my cash.  I won't have too much cash to burn because there's also Lost: Revelations...  I'm going to be hurting!

Based on the fact that there are samples posted on RA's site and I like most of them, I'm leaning more towards Avengers right now....

Honestly, if it was a DC comics set I'd be hyperventilating... I want Legion of Super-Heroes sketches!

Once I heard the auto design was different in Revelations, I'm skipping it - praying for a Sun auto in the Seasons set - 2, 3, whichever :) I may get burned, but I needed to make a decision based on the information at hand, and Season 2 wins. I'm also looking at Supernatural when that gets released, although, honestly, I'm not too excited about LOTR Masterpieces. I'm still having much to much fun with Evolution sketches- to try to do both Evo and Masterpieces would just about destroy what little brain power I have left ;)

Avengers, on the other hand, brings me to an interesting dilemma - how bad is it going to look when I outbid my friends for sketches from Rittenhouse? It's never happened before and I hope that noone takes it personally *lol* I just want them ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will have a special scan later of a sketch card my son had done at Heroes Con by the inestimable Mark Texiera - he even dedicated the sketch to Alexander personally (something about being afraid Mommy would keep it, or some such nonsense!)

It's true, in June there was GOFU, Wizard of Oz and X-Men to cope with, and in October it's CoS, Avengers and Masterpieces... why oh why :(

Fortunately I have a rest now til MM and LOST Revelations *phew*

I've got to go through my collections (again) and sort out what I really want to keep, what I'd like to keep, and what I can live without...  I'm afraid Harry Potter is going to fit in the "can live without" pile - but I don't have any rare cards or variants...

I'm hoping for more samples to be posted even though what's out there right now is HIGHLY tempting!

Someone actually sent an email to Rittenhouse asking us to NOT release products in the SAME MONTH as other companies (Inkworks and Artbox's products mentioned here were specified) - I was so floored I wasn't sure how to answer that and said that I was sorry that release dates seem to coincide, but that we list our release dates as early as possible so that collectors can plan accordingly?

I wanna know if Artbox and Inkworks got the same email *lol*

I dont think it is a bad thing all these sets coming out the same month at the end of the day they are different companies and different subjects. I know we on here are all trading card mad but I dont see the majority of collectors trying for all the sets. Just a special few. I am having to compromise on how many cases I will open and how many I will sell. Then again by october I should have my own website in place which should help make things easier.
Keep em coming cus if they are all quality that should be great.

You know, just because 3 big sets come out at the same time, doesn't mean you have to buy them all at the same time.
They will all be around for awhile afterwards and I would think the dealers would be thankful to sell stuff when new sets aren't coming out.

I actually think you are being logical Warren.  And it makes perfect sense. 

The only problem with the theory is that it requires unlimited funds to buy enough of all 3 big sets at once and then be able to wait around for when they might sell.

Also many of the manufacturers produce enough to fill pre-orders, not much more.  So if you don't buy a product when it first comes out it might not get made at all.

It is rather silly to whine to a manufacturer about it though. ::)

Of course Mr M, that makes perfect sense if you are buying individual cards, but the best time to buy boxes or cases really is to pre-order, so really if you are a pack junkie like myself it's all or nothing ;)

Just been reading the NSU board and people are saying that this product is a US exclusive  :'( . Has anyone else heard anything, this would fit into the situation where my distributor hasnt given me prices for this set.  :-\

I know Bogleg had ordered a box direct from Rittenhouse but he has now seen it is US and Canada only.  He did receive an order confirmation so he is now waiting to see if he is likely to get one - I will let you know.

Rittenhouse Archives is limited in our distribution of the product to the US and Canada. This doesn't mean that the product won't cross borders, simply that we can't sell it directly into international markets. But, just like the CSI cards end up over here en masse(and they are a UK only release), I can easily see the Avengers cards in the UK market.

Oo, Oo, Oo.... if this item doesnt cross international borders i feel there will be some very angry  >:() >:() >:() customers.. Maybe this Australian resident better get a passport and commence travels to the US to coincide with the Avengers Release... Sketch, will you ship orders to Hotels  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

I have my order of 2 cases in, so well and truly looking forward to this set.. but i wanted to onsell some... although can see this is not going to happen.,.. DOH!!!!

But I really have no worries - if you saw how much CSI stuff was over here in the States, you'd not worry either *lol*  And you can always get your free Avengers promo card while you're waiting - there's no restriction on that :)

Well to be honest I am only going to have one case now no point having 6 or even 2. No offence intended to Cat's work as I will be saving my money to buy the 6 case incentives seperately as well as a stan lee sketch card. Gutted there will be no 2 case incentive.  I think there will be many people gutted who have ordered already 6 cases instead of getting 3 Staggs and a stan lee now only going to get one of Cats pieces of art for 6 cases, not very good IMO. Can you tell I am gutted.  :'(

Rittenhouse always has a 2 case incentive card - guess they just haven't announced the replacement yet.  Another oversize color sketch perhaps???

While it will be much harder to get one of Cat's cards, I'd rather she continue her fabulously detailed work and not have to hurry...

Totally agree it is just a shame that if they are planning a 2 case in centive they could say that they are and details will follow. I personally Cat's work fully warrants the 6 case incentive anyway, as the stan lee cards will more than likely be the same image. I am frustrated mainly because I had been looking forward to getting 3 Staggs Incentives with my cases I had been planning to order now I will have to spend a fair premium and sacrifice sealed cases just to get one of them.

Just a conspiracy therory but Rittenhouse had never announced production figures on this set ie number of boxes. I am just thinking with the interest in this set and with the ever growing list of artists. Have they boosted production hence making it impossible for Cat to keep the quality of her work for a 2 case incentive.  ???

i must say i have to agree with Rich, it is a little disappointing that the Cat sketches has altered... I only say this as i absolutely adore your work Cat and was looking forward to getting 3 of your cards to hold pride and prime place in my collection and i do think that Rittenhouse may have underestimated the demand for these cards and thus has now altered the status of the cards and incentives.

What does upset me a little, is that from a business mind set, we have to put our orders in advance based on information that is released by Rittenhouse and our dealers and with the information provided before it was an extremely beneficial set to buy (even from a personal collection as you could build some great cards for only 6 cases) with the Cat 2 case incentives... Now that it has all altered (and i guess its a chance us collectors take) so dramatically everyones assesment of this set would have changed substantially.

I am still looking forward to the standard insert sketches and my Cat Staggs, although i think i will now buy the Cat rather than investso heavily into 6 cases as the incentive is not really worth it for me now... Hope my dealer does not get too upset????

Hope this makes sense, not having a go at Rittenhouse as i am sure they have a larger plan at hand.. just would like to know what the 2 case incentive is going to be now... Maybe, just maybe and this is only speculation that the 2 case incentive may be a Martineck?????

Ah - the new two-case incentive. Personally, I think it's as exciting as the new 6 case incentive. It's innovative, exciting and promises to knock your socks off.

I'm usually the last to know anything :) Remember, I'm the part-time customer service agent *lol* and I only hear bits and pieces from the production team (usually only changes or problems) so y'all will probably know before me :)

Thanks for the info Sketchqueen 2 cases will probably be the way forward for me definately looking forward to finding out about this mystery 2 case incentive. For me this was going to be set of the year as it ties together my main interests ie Sketches, Comics and cards, so the initial line up was awesome. It is just a shame that things have to change like with X-men I cancelled my order of 6 cases all together after I heard about the withdraw of the costumes and I just feel rittenhouse has done it again by hyping up a set to get big preorders and then letting us down. As I sell most of the cards to keep my hobby going I have to be very selective with my preorders otherwise I lose out bigtime.

First of all - We've not sent out ANY solicitation information on this set. Not one order form, not one sales flyer has gone out, so why do people think the order due date has come and gone is beyond my comprehension.

Secondly, I applaud our production team for announcing the changes this far out - would it have been better to insert redemption cards for costumes into X-Men only to find out we were not able to acquire any? I think that would have been a bigger disappointment then finding out changes far enough in advance to alter your purchase requirements.

But hey - that's me, and what do I know? Not much apparantly.

Amen!  I would have been bitterly disappointed if I'd gotten a redemption card only to find out there weren't any available.

And I love the fact that Rittenhouse is so upfront about what's going to be in sets (even when that information changes) unlike some other companies who only list a few items & cause me to guess at what will REALLY be in it, and sometimes those fall through...

I am only voicing an opinion. I know it is not possible to order this product yet, dont forget I am still totally hyped about this set I ave been trying to order this product since the day I heard it was going to be released. With X-Men I had placed my order on the recommendation of my supplier who went through costumes and everything else so I placed my order then ! I only then later found out about the non inclusion of the costumes and cancelled. Obviously with this one this hasnt been able to happen which is fine I am based in the UK so buy from cards inc who are not ordering at the moment I have no info from US distributors but presumed they were ordering now as the website is taking orders.
I think Rittenhouse are a great Card company we are after all talking about Dealer incentives and I have probably overlooked the fact that the main product boxes are looking stronger than at the start of the release. Sorry if I came over too critical this was not my intention.

I totally agree, I wish the info hadn't been sent out so early (i.e. before it was settled), I was over the moon thinking that a Stan Lee sketch was obtainable... now it's just a pipedream.. ho hum.

Guys I can't speak fro anyone else, But I am working as hard as I can to make sure my sketch cards are worth your money!  Hope that helps a little! 

Your efforts will be noticed!! Along with all the other artists. I have seen plenty of samples from this set to say that every artist is giving it their all !!! You know every sketch card is colored, that means a finished piece of art.......not a sketch. So there's no need to commission an artist to do an aftermarket coloring to enhance it..... it's already done!! And this is the first time ever.

Just the words INNOVATIVE and EXCITING that Joanna used to describe the 2-case incentive is killing me to know what it will be. But my purchase is based on the inserted sketch cards and anything else will be an added bonus. And that's just me.

I know what sets you were thinking of Dawn, Strictly Ink puts those out, but this set is about the Marvel super heroes and is being released by Rittenhouse Archives. ;)

Wow, those all look great!  You should be pleased. :D  I really like the Dillon sketch.

The Dillon sketch is my favorite also. ;D  All of the sketches are really nice and they look so much better in-hand too. 8)  The colors are very vibrant, but unfortunately the scanner doesn't pick that up.

I just looked on eBay.  All of the sketches are quite pricey.  I guess that's to be expected when there's only one sketch per box and they're all in color.

I think Stan Lee did 100 sketches - randomly inserted (and those don't replace the sketch in the box - if you pull a Stan Lee, you should pull a color sketch too)...

Those sketches are too cool, I really like them all!  :o  It's so nice to read about 2 case breaks and 2 happy collectors for once.  :rofl:  It looks like Rittenhouse did a super job putting this set together.  My favorite is Mike Lilly's Mr. Fantastic.

That was the first sketch I pulled!  The colors on the sketch really make Mr. Fantastic look fantastic. 8)

On a side note, I was a little disappointed that I was unable to complete all three chase sets from one case.  Mathematically it was possible, but the collation was off and I got many duplicates. :P  I was short one LH and 3 MH cards. :-\

They are lovely cards Anna  :).  I don't know who drew what but I like the Hawkeye one the best  ;D

Just a note - I will be looking to purchase at least one of the Martineck sketches depending on the character (though I'm not focused on any one in particular) - if you pull one & it's not going to stay in your collection, feel free to PM me :)

Well, here is the break from 4 cases, very happy with 2 Stan Lees, as originally I ordered 6 cases in order to get one Stan Lee and was sad that I possibly wouldn't pull one, but my good sketch card mojo paid off :)  Great looking sketches, hats off to all the artists!!!  Shoot me a message if you see anything that interests you, as I am open to anything, haven't really picked any out for sure that I will keep :)

Yeah, those are really good!  It's kind of funny, I've been looking at sketch cards for so long on ebay that I can pick out 5 of the artists you have without even seeing the signature.  :rofl:  Who did the 2 cards on the left in the 11th row down?  Their Invisible Woman is awesome.

Well UK Shackers, it sounds really bad for any of us wanting to get hold of this set it appears cards inc were unable to get hold of a distribution licence for this set. I dont know exactly where this leaves us I had been toying with the idea of 6 cases to get the staggs art piece. Now I am faced with possibly getting nothing major Bummer !!

Yes it is now a total nightmare trying to get these cards.  I know Graham had some ordered from Cards Inc and they didn't even tell him he wasn't getting them.  It was only that he was checking to see if the due date had altered and noticed that it had changed to coming soon that he rang them up, only to be told they weren't supplying any.  Unfortunately by now it is virtually impossible to get hold of them.  If we had been told earlier, even a week earlier we would have stood a chance from someone else.
