: GoFU Price Guide
: Roz May 24, 2006, 05:27:15 PM
Hi guys

The GOFU price guide is starting to come together - we are only entering things once we have seen them/pulled them ourselves to be sure that they exist and to be sure that the code numbers etc are all correct.

You can take a look here

http://www.theyakshack.co.uk/tradingcards/index.php?page=cardlist&set=18

If you see a card without a picture and you can provide a good scan, please help out, either post it here or PM me. I'm temporarily on 56k internet so please bear this in mind.

Ideally send a 270x380 pixel scan which is the perfect resolution for the guide (make sure you get portrait for portrait cards or landscape for landscape cards) but I can resize and watermark anything so any scan will do :D

Cheers

Roz

As I said before - we don't have pics for them all ;) that's why I was asking for decent sized pics :P

Dawn you totally threw me - I was like "but the Quad and Harry are up... what's she thinking".... "DAVID TENNANT"

The card says "... authentic costume material worn by Dan Radcliffe..."

I just smelled it for you, it smells like the all other cards - like ink. ;)

Careful, Anna.  This could end up like our conversation about Superman's briefs.

The top was red and the bottom was black.  Men all over America are now putting the C14s back into their collections.

Speaking of smell,  ::)  I noticed that the smell of the cards was different when I opened my box.  Must be because they were packaged at a different factory.  Just a weird thing I noticed.   :P

It is true though, my cards had an odd smell too.  ::) Also, just so everyone knows, the cards were sticking together pretty badly--make sure you check that you're not throwing away an auto or something.   :-\

What I wouldn't give to sniff a card right now  :'( :'(  Will they ever reach the UK  :'( :'(

: Re: GoFU Price Guide
: kbmum May 27, 2006, 01:25:50 AM
I double checked all of my base cards when I sorted them, because mine stuck together, too.  Unfortunately, there was no hidden quad or Dan. :)  I think the finish feels weird.

Hey Roz! Are you soliciting scans of card backs this time too?

Here's the Mad-Eye case-topper, boxtopper set, and the puzzle back for the foils.

Hi Roz,

Over the weekend I saw a quad card go for £361 a little lower than the average on the guide list just thought I would mention it incase you never saw it.

Cheers

I just wanted to give Anna a HUGE shout out and thank you for all the hundreds of auctions she's been entering - especially with GOFU hitting ebay hard.  I'm having a tough time finding auctions she (and others) haven't already entered...

Quite right too. It's Anna's endless enthusiasm and hard work that is a HUGE part of the key to the success of the guide ;D

Even before she made her first post on the forum she had entered more than 100 ended auctions into the guide :o what a trooper!

Before I discovered the Shack and the Price Guide, I was maintaining my own database of Harry Potter cards in an Excel spreadsheet.  When I discovererd the Price Guide, it was easy for me to start adding the auctions into the Price Guide instead of my spreadsheet.  I've collected many sets over the past few years, but Harry Potter cards will always be my favorite cards to collect. ;D
