: ROTK Hobby Box : blackcat20 April 24, 2006, 05:29:30 PM Ive had one of these (first wave) stashed away since the original release...I think thats over two years now? And I dont know what to do with it. Do I sell it? Or open it? I know I wont get back the money that I paid for it, but there is no chance of a legolas auto either, and I really dont want a Figwit...so whats my next move?
: Re: ROTK Hobby Box : LikORish-Spider April 24, 2006, 07:15:06 PM Put it on ebay with a reserve you can live with.
: Re: ROTK Hobby Box : Roz April 24, 2006, 07:19:33 PM If I were you, and I'm not ;) I'd open it ;D actually, I think I have a box of ROTK somewhere, If you open yours I'll open mine with you (if my memory serves me correctly and I still have it... ).
It's a shame to let it go at less than you paid for it, but as you rightly point out, a couple of base sets, some foils, a box topper and a FIGWIT would be less exciting to own than a sealed box  : Re: ROTK Hobby Box : Eve April 24, 2006, 08:17:13 PM Ive had one of these (first wave) stashed away since the original release...I think thats over two years now? Speaking as one who happened to get a Figwit in one of my two boxes, I'd still open it. You could get a Christopher Lee, Viggo Mortensen or Liv Tyler ;D : Re: ROTK Hobby Box : kbmum April 24, 2006, 08:23:16 PM Unless you really, really need whatever money you could get for it, you should open it and enjoy it! :) I couldn't find a price guide entry for ROTK wave 1 boxes. What's the usual selling price?
: Re: ROTK Hobby Box : Goofyjas April 24, 2006, 10:58:15 PM is there an auto you want? if so sell the box and buy the auto..
trust me on this, I went throgh 32 cases of ROTKu to get PJ and the card was cheaper! : Re: ROTK Hobby Box : blackcat20 April 25, 2006, 06:43:32 AM Hmmm, there is not really an auto that I want, not one that I can get from ROTK anyway; I still need a Legolas and Id love an Eowyn and an Aragorn (but a fotr one). I recently picked up a fellowship Galadriel for a bargain price and already have a Saruman...
I did try selling it on ebay once, starting at the price I wanted (less than what I paid), but no bids... There are a few BIN on ebay at the moment for $US69, but no actual auctions... : Re: ROTK Hobby Box : blackcat20 May 04, 2006, 06:09:24 AM Alrighties, ran another auction for the box, with no bidders once again. I offer it here, for anyone that is interested. If not, then I guess Ill have to open it.....Ill give it two days, if there are no takers, it'll give me something to do over the weekend....

: Re: ROTK Hobby Box : blackcat20 August 31, 2006, 05:42:23 AM good to hear! hopefully you get something more exciting than a Theoden ;D
: Re: ROTK Hobby Box : Trey August 31, 2006, 10:56:26 AM Theoden...much better than a Figwit :P
: Re: ROTK Hobby Box : blackcat20 August 31, 2006, 11:24:03 AM definately. you have no idea how relieved i was. :) though an aragorn or arwen would have been better
