It's a nice signature. Congrats!  :)

Got my Rita Skeeter today - letter number 121

I must say I'm a little disappointed with the quality of the signature.  She seems to have signed with a marker pen and some of the black is missing where it hasn't dried properly.  A bit like when you write with a rollerball pen on a shiny surface and the ink doesn't dry.

Ho hum...

How bad is it?
There have been reports of other examples of the ink bubbling on these autos - if it's really bad then I would email the Customer Services at Artbox ASAP with a scan of your auto attached to see if something can be done about it. ;)

Good luck with it GB and please let us know what you decide to do. :)

Sounds like it was rushed or not properly handled.  I agree, if you are really unhappy with it, send it back for a replacement.

:D :D My Miranda Richardson auto card arrived today and is number 73. Thanks Artbox but it is the longest 4 - 6 weeks I have ever known.

I received my auto and I was really disappointed with it.  I wrote to Artbox about it and they've agreed to send me a better replacement.  Here's what the auto looked like. :(  Apparantly Miranda Richardson didn't use the pen Artbox had sent her for signing and because of that, all the signatures look pretty bad. :-\

LOL after all this time the pen's probably rolled off somewhere in her agent's office.

Bad luck Anna, but hopefully Artbox will sort it out, it is a pretty dismal example :(

I have got my one - number 113.  I expect they will have quite a few spares to use for exchanges as a lot of people (myself being one) like to keep an unredeemed redemption for their collection.

: Nienna April 24, 2006, 01:56:09 AM
You what will happen then ... the 'good' autos will fetch premium prices and the redemptions will probably cost more than they did originally as people won't want to chance receiving something similar to the one Anna posted by sending them in to Artbox!

Fingers crossed you get it resolved soonishly Anna ... that's one of the worst signatures I think I've ever seen on anything! :(

I must have been one of the lucky ones so far.Ive seen some of the auto's that people have posted, and they are terrible...got mine back a couple of days ago #61 and it is bold and perfect, must have gotten one of the earlier ones before the sharpie started to run dry

Well, to recap - a lot of us had problems with pretty naff auto / pen quality

I must say I'm a little disappointed with the quality of the signature.  She seems to have signed with a marker pen and some of the black is missing where it hasn't dried properly.  A bit like when you write with a rollerball pen on a shiny surface and the ink doesn't dry.

Anna's Auto:

And I remember a while back Jules telling us that Miranda had only sent in a few of her cards (after all that time!!!) - it seems that they now have more in stock, and they are signed with another pen - e.g.

There's one in my shop if anyone's still looking for one ::) (*shameless plug alert*)

Is it just me or do the two different versions look nothing like each other. Would a different pen make that much difference to someones signature.

Maybe she had one too many Firewhiskeys before signing the second batch? ;)

The first pen is definitely thicker than the second, so that could account for some of the differences.  If you look closely, many of the letters in the last name are very similar for both signatures.

Autographs do vary quite a lot, for a experimnr try writtiong your own some 200 times on a the same size paper  ;D  You can realy see this at a busy signing session it sometimes goes from been Oh so neat to a scrawl or simple initial LOL
