Morning All, ;) :D ;D

Thanks for the info the set does sound good but even though we are new to this hobby it's getting harder and harder to keep up with the HP sets!
I would love to get a case of these anyone know how many in a case?, also i'm assuming if someone like me who isnt a seller or dealer and just want to try and get as many cards as possible that these extra sets of cards from the case will devalue for sale price as all rare cards we would of taken or could they still sell ? Unlike most cases you can sell the base sets but as these are in special edition boxes cant see how it would work and we would be left with loads of cards?

Cheers

Paul

I think it's got considerably darker since that - there are now 25 case incentives etc :(

: Re: Memorable Moments Price Guide
: kbmum June 14, 2006, 05:34:21 PM
There are 10 boxes in a case.  You will have 20 or more base sets once you're done collating the cards, plus a number of foil/puzzle sets and maybe two box topper sets with some extras.  Search on eBay for GOFU base, foil, and box topper sets, and you'll see they don't usually sell for very much.  It will take some time, but you might be able to pay for one or two boxes in the case by selling those spares.  If you pull duplicate inserts, you can sell or trade those, too.

: Re: Memorable Moments Price Guide
: LikORish-Spider June 19, 2006, 12:01:11 AM
There is a pretty solid indication that the cases are limited to only 375.

That means probably only 20 of the 25-case incentives--- Ala the POA Pear Tree Leaves (only 28 for 500 cases).
Also the dealer allocation is half of the order the dealer made for the Goblet of Fire set.

So, if a dealer got, for example, 100 cases of GOF their allocation of MM would be 50 cases.
Any speculation as to how many will not take their entire allocation? I'll bet ZERO.
Also due to the premium paper being used, the price per case/box is higher.

We may need a Price Guide entry for the empty boxes. I know I've already decided a few people who will get them as Christmas presents.  ;D

Does anyone know how long it takes for cases to start showing up on ebay? Will that happen when the set is released? Anywhere I can preorder a case for a moderate price? Thanks!

-Jon

I think most dealers have sold out due to the fact it was such a limited release.

: Re: Memorable Moments Price Guide
: kbmum July 28, 2006, 05:15:28 PM
I can find only one online dealer in the US who still has preorders for MM cases and boxes -- Georgetown Card Exchange.  The cases are $799.95 and the boxes are $89.95 plus shipping.

We'll see cases on eBay closer to when the set is released.  PayPal has a rule that items must be shipped within one week of receiving payment.  Sellers do ignore this, but many will wait to list the cards.

I think FTY is right, most of the cases are sold out.  Besides Georgetown, there are a couple of eBay stores that have pre-sell boxes for $76 and $80.  The seller with the boxes for $80 has 12 boxes available, so maybe you can get a case of 10 from him for $800?

EDIT:  I just read in Diagon Alley that John has MM cases.  I would get a case from him. :)

I think that the ebay rule is a 30 day limit for pre-sales on items. So with OCTOBER the new rumor I suppose pre-sales ought not be on ebay yet. But who really knows with ARTBOX?

I got this email form ARTBOX:

Hi John,

The delivery of the coin cards are delayed due to production.

We hope to have it within a month.

 Sorry!

Well, it's now September 1. So much for one month for the Movie Poster coins. Duh!

Ugh, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come and the coins that are supposed to be in the MM boxes will have to be acquired by redemption.  :P  ::)

Latest:

HARRY POTTER MEMORABLE MOMENTS™ NEWS UPDATE!

Distributors will want to take note of the new ship date for this groundbreaking, magical set of trading cards. All of the magical memories from all four blockbuster movies will be presented in the Harry Potter Memorable Moments™ Quotable card set. You’ll want to pick up a set to relive your fondest—and most memorable memories!

One Memorable Moment set will come packed in a special-made resin box and 9 black display boxes, lavishly displaying an image from the Harry Potter films.

In addition to the 72, foil cards, there will be nine randomly inserted chase cards, along with costume, prop, double costume, rare double prop cards and autograph cards.

Artbox would like to apologize for the delay in this eagerly-awaited set, noting that the number of inserts, along with the outstanding quality, especially in producing The Gold Standard™ series of coins takes time. Mike Simon, Artbox VP noted, “We would rather hold off on shipping a set rather than provide aficionados an inferior product—the wait will be worth it.”

The set contain two Harry Potter coins from The Gold Standard™ series of coins produced exclusively by Artbox. In order to stay on the new schedule for the card set release, the cards will ship prior to the release of the promo cards for this set. “Since we are keenly aware of the collectibility of promos, we will still ship the promo cards after the set is released,” Simon noted.

Retailer Notes: Case Topper cards will also be placed in each case. This production run is limited to 375 cases!

So it will now be nine display boxes instead of ten, and one resin box instead of ten, in a case. Darn, I was planning to use the resin boxes for Christmas presents.  :-\

What was the "new ship date" that the press release referred to?

Oops, that would be nice. Duh.

It looks like :Hello, guys take a case now,if you don't want fight for the resin box!

Ok.....I just want 2 boxes of this set.I can take the black display box.
Is there anyone can let me share 2 boxes ??  ::)

Yes! :D

I guess it's inevitable that people will just charge X per box for display boxes and X+Y for a resin box.

It's good news for people like me who were wondering how to store them. I'll be glad to have one or two of these, whereas I was dreading lots of them :)

Yay - new desktidy :D

I don't particularly want the resin box so Trey, Marcia and Kate can slog it out ;)

It's a relief that we won't be lumbered with 10 of these per case!

That's good news, one case and so only one resin box for me. I like to hear that, i don't want to get more than this one. :)

Wow ! What interesting news, I am pleased on the whole just very curious of what is going to be the deal with this special resin box, are we to expect it will be like the triple boxes which contained the quads and such as were found one per case in GOFU or will it be that there will only be certain extra rare cards found in these.
I am a little frustrated that we dont know a little more ie. insert ratio of props, costumes and Auto as now we know there will be 9 standard display boxes per case I cant imagine there will be purely normal insert ratios as in a maximum of 2 inserts per box especially based on the still high box price unless the edition numbers are all low.
I will as usual be opening all my boxes and splitting up the individual cards and sets and now more than likely I will sell the resin box as an empty box.

: Re: Memorable Moments Price Guide
: Bitsy September 03, 2006, 04:27:39 AM
I'm curious about that as well.  I wonder if there will be an increase in inserts, at least in certain boxes-maybe the resin boxes?   :-\ I hope there will be a greater chance for some of the bigger cards in the regular boxes as well.

Question: When they say "display" boxes, do they mean the traditional boxes like SS, POA, POAU, GOF, and GOFU?  They aren't any different from those, are they?

: Re: Memorable Moments Price Guide
: bush360 September 03, 2006, 04:38:16 AM
I can only think the other 9 boxes will be typical display boxes ala SOS,POA etc...
I just hope the inserts are good. :o=

Oh, me too!  :o=  Wouldn't it be great if, because this is a special set, there were more than two inserts in each box?  :D  Wishful thinking, I know.  ::)

: Re: Memorable Moments Price Guide
: allender September 03, 2006, 06:18:47 AM
Yeah, I think it says that one "set" will be packaged in the resin box. Maybe that set will be a different border stamping than the rest, or maybe it will also have a set of R-cards and coins, and/or some exclusive card. So there would only be 9 boxes containing packs. Can anybody who's seen the resin boxes comment on their volume, compared to regular display boxes?
