I just opened the only two boxes I plan on opening (unless the ring takes hold of me and makes me buy more, which will most likely happen)  I pulled an Arwen costume in the first box, which I was very happy with.  In the second box I pulled an autograph of PETER JACKSON!!!!!  I was so excited!!!  Just thought I would share the good news.  I am on a hot streak right now after a long spell of crap boxes, but with this and the hot box from Harry Potter that I recently pulled I am feeling lucky.  So if anyone would like to send me their boxes I would be more than happy to sleep with them for a night and hope my good luck runs off on them.  :)

I told you all I would post what I received from my two cases.  Here is the breakdown:

Case 1
Box 1    Sala Baker Auto Card
Box 2    Eowyn's Coronation Dress
Box 3    The Witch-King's Cloak
Box 4    Elrond's Bronze Silk Robe

Case 2
Box 1    Elrond's Bronze Silk Robe
Box 2    Sam's Wedding Jacket
Box 3    Merry's Rohan Cloak
Box 4    Sam's Wedding Jacket

I was not happy pulling 2 Sam's from the same case.  You think Topps would have had a better distribution so as to not have two of the same cards in the same case!  Overall I was quite pleased with everything and I think the images for the update set are some of the best Topps has produced for the LOTR's series!  My only regret was not pulling the Aragorn Clothing card so I will have to find one on eBay.  This is the first set from which I have not pulled multiple Auto/Clothing cards from any of the boxes.  I have in the past been able to do so with every set released up to this one.  I wonder if Topps made an effort to prevent this from happenning for this release?

Thanks Roz, yea that was a great pull on the Peter Jackson Auto Card for Ztaylork especially after seeing how many boxes Gimli opened (28) and didn't get one!

I am not too bothered by the fact that I have doubles as they are going to two of my friends who are some the nicest people I know!!   :)

What's the deal with the Peter Jackson auto? The image doesnt look great and the Two Towers auto card is much better!
Basically, if Topps were to issue any auto card (e.g the deformed ork in ROTK who looks like a pig) at odds of say 1:5000, then you could guarantee the price of the card would be hundreds! Easy money for ebayers! Never mind if people want the card or not -the rarity sets the price.
Yes, I know that Peter Jackson is slightly more important than the deformed ork, but still!

Second - I agree totally with you about the Peter Jackson auto cards.  It stinks that value is based on the number of cards signed or odds of getting one in a pack rather than value or contribution to the 3 movies.  The Merry auto card from The Fellowship is a perfect example of what I am talking about and now the Peter Jackson auto card from the ROTK Update set falls into this category.  The only thing I have to add is that Peter Jackson earned his place of value by his leadership, vision, and Directing some of the best movies ever and he should be valued for this and not odds per pack!!   >:(

Well then you both sound lucky!  Two Sirius auto cards in the same case - now that is something!  I wonder what the odds of that are?
